They were honest, upfront, and transparent from day one. They took the time to review every budget, selection, and step of the process with us, making sure we understood everything along the way. I did overhear one of the technicians I allowed in for a "free evaluation" on speakerphone with the plumber asking if a $2,000 finder's fee sounded reasonable. I kept my mouth shut but it definitely raised some red flags. I listened to all three companies separately and then decided to do some serious research online. While some companies have plenty of glowing Google reviews, once you start looking at other sources like Yelp, the Arizona ROC, and the BBB, the picture can look very different. Consider this a friendly warning to homeowners: do your homework. After digging deeper, I was fortunate to find ASAP Restoration. One thing that immediately stood out is that they do not work referral deals with plumbers, do not pay kickbacks, and do not play games with deductibles. They simply focus on doing the job correctly. The team was extremely professional. The mitigation/demo crew handled the water damage quickly and thoroughly, and the reconstruction team has been excellent. We're now about 90% finished with the rebuild and everything is coming together great. I just felt the need to share my experience before heading out for spring break. The first call came seconds after I submitted my search, and it was All Dry Services Valley Of The Sun. This was a late evening on a Wednesday, and we never expected a call that soon. My wife had suspected mold because our house seemed musky and we were always sick, with our young son's asthma, it was harder for him.  The technician we got was Mr. SCOTT COOPER and he came out right away. He found the area that did in fact have hidden/hard to find mold. He was so thorough with his inspection and went through every room in the house. He checked the bathrooms, tubs, sinks and window stills for any water damage. We couldn't believe he noticed signs where the mold was. He pulled off the toe kick and showed us black mold, worse than we had expected. It was under the wood base directly under the kitchen sink but on the underside not visible to us. Very quickly, he had setup a quarantined area to secure and prevent the spreading and further exposure. He demoed the area and removed all of it off the premises. He thoroughly cleaned and sanitized the entire area. SCOTT COOPER had humidifiers, fans, and lots of safety equipment to ensure it would be gone and no longer a health concern.  Besides the hard work he did, SCOTT COOPER, showed sincere compassion and care for our family. He is a family man himself and is so genuine, kind and warm-hearted. He is the type of guy every person hopes to get when they need service. He won't take advantage of you with misleading and unnecessary high costs, is honest and fair. It was definitely a privilege working with SCOTT COOPER. It has been over two years (26 months) since the work on my bathroom should…read morehave been completed and they have still not given me back the money they have stolen from me and from the insurance company. Here are the cliff notes: -Referred to salt water restoration by a family friend that has referred a lot of business their way. -Get insurance approval and the work begins. Bathroom is torn apart, toilet removed and drywall is put in. -All monies from the insurance company are released to salt river restoration. I literally handed the person in charge of the job a $5k check. -Company keeps telling me they cannot complete the project because they have not been paid. -I keep sending proof of the payments including proof from the insurance company and my bank statements over and over. (Only monies not paid out are $500 that were to be paid by the insurance company once the work was complete) -Keep being told over and over they cannot find the money. -Talk to representative at the company (this is after two years) and threaten legal action. -Money is all of a sudden found. -Tell them I expect all of my monies returned as I will not be doing business with them as they blatantly lied to me about not having my money and have made myself and my wife feel like liars when they literally were sitting on our money. -Find out the person in charge of the job was fired because of this situation. Did he pocket the money and this is why it wasn't found? -Have continued outreach to the representative that keeps telling me he is taking the issue up to his executive team with no answers. -Threaten legal action again along with letting them know I will be going to the BBB, the insurance company and getting my lawyer involved. And here we are today...Two years without a finished bathroom with an exposed toilet opening. I have been beyond patient with this company and have asked over and over for them to do the right thing and give me back my money as they are holding it hostage. The only work they completed was putting up some drywall. I am fed up and will now start sharing my story everywhere I can.
