I rented violins from them and…read morethen attempted to return these violins for months! after visiting the store several times which it was always closed, my calls and emails went unanswered. Finally, I received a call apologizing from the owner saying they sadly had to shut down their business and I could arrange to return these violins at no cost to myself due to this large inconvenience. Then I receive another call a week later repeating the same conversation as if the person had not already spoken with me. We were to arrange the return of the violins but they give me a residential address instead of a business address. I advised that I did not feel safe going to someone's home and I'd like to meet at the place of business and they claim they will meet me at the place of business however they will then have to charge me my "past due" fees even though they were the ones who went missing for months and already agreed twice that I am not responsibly for their business randomly closing with no word!!

Probably because he was getting paid x dollars an hour either way. Meeting and having work done by Ted was exactly the opposite experience. He took the time to explain what he was going to do (or not do if not needed). After it was done he explained what my guitar could still use, and what I personally could do with brief instructions on how to do it... I can promise you the guitar center tech guys wont tell you how to save money like that. Hell, they were trying to convince me that nylon strings were too hard for me to string up lol. (true story) I could go on and on, I brought in a dirty guitar that had been sitting in a closet for years, and picked up a nice shiny guitar even after I told him not to worry about cleaning it up. Especially since the job I had him do was so small. If you are looking for somewhere friendly and affordable to have your guitar/bass worked on.... you found it. I will without a doubt be using them again.

One boys takes drum lessons, and the other takes Guitar. Both of my boys now conduct their weekly musics lessons online! I'm amazed at how the instructor can use Skype to give coaching with the same level of quality of being there in-person. It's 12/23/2014 - almost 5 months to the date since I posted my Yelp review of Phoenix Music…read moreLessons -(and months passed since I had attempted to solicit feedback from the owner of Phoenix Music Lessons). TODAY - I am contacted with an explanation that "I honestly thought you were probably a good person but I felt a dislike towards me right away. That energy was truly difficult for me to deal with." His "concerned" response concluded with this: "PS. I once had a doctor do surgery on my knee. I really disliked him (really this guy was a jerk) but I knew he was an expert..... My knee works great again. :)" Since 12/23/2014 (again five months after my initial review) - the Owner has contacted me several times via personal email 3-4 and 1x telephone (actually left a message) - surreptitiously attempting to convince me to edit/delete or otherwise alter my review. I find the Owner's contact inappropriate and borderline harassing. I rejected his offers of a refund as that is not the intent of my review - rather to advise others of my experience. The Owner provided a service- and was compensated for his service. My opinion is this Owner does not take kindly to those with opposing/differing views. Unprofessional and inappropriate boundaries.
