Dr. Dungy is the best. I'm not sure I have met a more caring or communicative surgeon. He's also…read morepretty hip and funny. I was blown away when he showed up at my bedside in post-op to check on me and tell me everything went great. Having had 3 surgeries in the last 2 years, I know they don't normally do that. Great surgeon, great human being. And his PA Erin Miller is equally fantastic. Answered all my questions and helped me reach a decision about hip replacement surgery. Very personable, easy to talk to, knowledgable and smart. On the back office side, there were some issues getting my pre-op test paperwork and then finally scheduling surgery, but I find this is typical of most surgeon offices these days. I wouldn't let it detract from the ultimate care you do get.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Danton Dungy--he's incredible. I've had both knees…read morereplaced by him (9/25 & 2/26), and I truly couldn't be happier with my experience. He is passionate, honest, and genuinely friendly. You can tell he really cares about what he does, and it shows. He's not on any kind of pedestal--he talks with you, not at you, which makes a big difference. He's also at the top of his field, with patents for orthopedic surgical tools and a technique he developed called the Later Technique. My recovery has gone smoothly, and even my home PT said that Dr. Dungy's patients consistently seem to recover faster than average. That said--no matter how great the surgeon is, you still have to do your part. Knee replacement is a partnership. Put in the work, and you'll be in the best possible hands with Dr. Dungy.

Every appointment I went to was on time. Seems like you never wait long here. Great bedside manner. Just comes off as a real caring Dr. Not much more to say other than my shoulder feels great 3-1/2 months post-surgery. Just went on a golf trip and played great!

No surgery was needed; just rest and immobilization. In early January, two months after the bones were broken, I graduated out of the cast and out of the walking boot and into physical therapy. My physical therapist was Heather B. and she was fantastic! During the sessions, I mostly worked with her assistant Marcus to go through my exercise routines. Heather would take over at the end of the appointment for an assessment and foot rub (the footrub made it all worth it!!). Both Heather and Marcus were kind and patient throughout the experience, making my PT sessions as painless as possible. I noticed a huge difference between my first and last PT visit. Day 1, I couldn't even walk on my broken foot. By the end of my PT sessions, I could hop, balance on one foot, do calf raises, and all kinds of normal activities. I still haven't tried to run, but I'm not much of a runner anyway... you'll only catch me running in case of an emergency. My foot still hurts everyday, but Heather said it's normal and the pain will continue to decrease over time. It's been 5 months since I broke my foot. I'm very happy with the recovery I've made so far, and I know that the physical therapy I received here contributed significantly. I hope I won't ever need PT again, but if I do, I'll return to TOCA and (hopefully!) see Heather again. 5/5 stars!
