This is a marvelous spot. I started out with their classic hummus. It is fresh with lemon and served with pita. Next I had some hot black tea which came with a mint leaf. Very good and a nice touch. Wow we had an amazing breakfast here this morning! The Sujuk Saj and turkey and cheese saj were a big hit! The Shakshuka was so delicious as well as the beef cubes in a pomegranate molasses. Fresh orange juice and tea were perfection! The ambiance is clean and trendy with a welcoming air. Service was great- they were busy when we came so it took a little longer due to that, but very friendly and attentive overall. Our one complaint is that it gets expensive - the Saj dishes look big, but you'll need more than that to fill up- so it adds up. Overall quality was good and flavors on point! Chef is friendly and humble. The portions are generous and we ate everything like savages. Now we will return and eat slowly to really savour the many different spices. Let me just start by saying TERRIBLE SERVICE!! Being a Lebanese restaurant you all should've KNOWN it was Eid and should've PREPARED BETTER! We ordered tea and pies to start. It took what seemed like HOURS to get the pies and still no tea! Everyone around us was getting served BUT US! Ya know what that felt like? It felt like we were FORGOTTEN even though we were RIGHT in front of the kitchen! We had to remind them MULTIPLE times about our order and that ALSO says something there. CLEARLY the message was WE FORGOT YOU!! Good to know! Definitely noted that this is how you treat your customers. We had no plates, no silverware they claimed that they had no orange juice when there were CLEARLY oranges galore! It's like how is this place still functioning?! The service being so bad I had lost my appetite already. WHAT a start to Eid! Being busy is not an excuse to provide a bad service. Customers pay the same whether busy or slow and they are expected to receive a good service regardless. I've been so excited to try this place! Very importantly, they serve Lebanese garlic dip (Toum) that is very good and super garlicky and creamy- hard to find! I was pleasantly surprised by the interior, super modern and lots of seating. One large party was leaving when I arrived at about 7:30 pm on a Saturday night. The waitress greeted me and helped right away. I got a take out order of zaatar and cheese saj, tabbouleh , and tawouk platter. It was about $50 with tip. I was disappointed with the size of the tawouk platter as I imagined it would have sides like rice and hummus, like other Mediterranean restaurants in the area. I felt like for the price, this one was not worth it. Although I did enjoy the flavors of the chicken and the garlic sauce, I was left wanting more. The tabbouli was a bit different than other restaurants that I've tried and a little more liquid-y. I enjoyed the flavors, very refreshing to go alongside the chicken and garlic. The highlight of the meal was the saj! I had never tried this before, and the waitress didn't steer me wrong. She told me it wouldn't look like the picture and it would be more like a sandwich. It was essentially a rollup- so delicious!! I had the cheese and zaatar one and would definitely return to have this again, I felt the price was fair for this as well. Checked out this new place in Temple Terrace on a Sunday morning when they offered brunch options. The place was small and cute. Staff was friendly and service was quick. They answered all of our questions w detailed info and also offered some recommendations. We decided to try the hummus mosaic samples, egg sujuk and fatteh. The hummus platter was colorful and appealing. My fav was the roasted bell pepper and pesto. The beet and original ones were just fine. The bread was very tough and chewy. Egg sujuk was flavorful and very yummy. I'm not very impressed with Fatteh bc it's just chickpea with yogurt sauce and pita chips. The portion was small given their prices. Overall, its a nice place to try but its hard to say if we will be back. Also be aware that they dont offer free water but CHARGED $2 FOR EACH WATER BOTTLE they put on your table!!! We simply ordered water and were def okay w tap water just like in any regular restaurants. They brought out 2 bottles of water and did not say a thing but charged us for water in the end of the meal. To make matters worse, they refused to take back the one we haven't touched. Fantastic newly opened restaurant in Temple Terrace. Comfortable atmosphere and fantastic service. Owner waited on us, explaining the various items and their preparation fresh on site. Very knowledgeable about the cuisine and the restaurant projects a family friendly atmosphere. The Saj wraps are prepared from fresh dough daily and your meal is prepared in the wrap. Absolutely delicious. We had the Tawoul a' la saj and the Teta's Kafta. Meals were impeccably prepared and served with both hummus and a beet hummus. Was really excited to try this new Lebanese spot after seeing a local social media influencer endorse it (though her choices seem to be high trend, lower quality) and all the positive reviews online. I think this spot is still trying to find its footing between being a stronghold for traditional Lebanese tea/brunch and a hip Tampa spot lol. It has led to a confusing dining experience, though I think with a little more structure and understanding of who they are, this establishment will shine. We wanted to try just a few brunch items for our group of 3. We were initially seated in a confined space by the hostess who seemed a little confused about our reservation time. The space had little room for our waters and orange juice (the latter was kind of pushed onto us to order, a recurring theme lol), but our waiter was kind and moved us over to their signature plant wall area. It was pretty for pictures. When it came time to order, we had an idea of what we wanted and did ask for a suggestion regarding what type of saj pizza to order. Highlight here is the quality of their Saj dough itself. Probably the best part of the meal was that delicious, light, flatbread, though the toppings felt a bit haphazard (ie strips of halloumi and halved cherry tomatoes versus diced tomatoes that could be incorporated in every bite). Anyway, the waiter went on to list A LOT of items for us to order and we expressed concern that we were only 3 people and it seemed a bit much. He responded to that two people could eat double the order we had. We wanted to support the business and give it a fair shot so money wasn't an issue. We figured we would take leftovers home. But WOW it was way too much food, they forgot two of the items (thank God) and I was able to stop them from making those dishes because the 4 others that arrived to the table were too much and mostly flavorless. Now to be fair, I think the waiter gave us waaaay too many dairy based recommendations. It was yogurt fava beans instead of the more basic style which was also on the menu, a plain cheese saj bread, the saj pizza with aloof toppings, a veggie plate with way too many olives and probably could save them more money not to overdue. Unfortunately, the meat egg dish and Zataar dish which would have broken up the dairy were the dishes that didn't arrive. Despite it all, I want this establishment to thrive and hope the constructive criticism here will help them in the future. I did see many families and older adults having fun, drinking a lovely looking tea, and I think those pieces plus the saj bread quality can help this become a community stronghold. Or maybe it already is and as someone less familiar with Lebanese brunch culture specifically, it just wasn't a good match. read more
