    Pitas and tzatziki!
    Andrea S.

We came here just before closing, not really expecting much, but we were starving and didn't want the usual 'fast-food faire.' [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was quiet and clean, the kitchen staff were very friendly and polite.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I started with an impulsive purchase of Baklava. Omg. The flaky, nutty, sweet layer of phyllo... Perfection. We ordered chicken souvlaki, Greek salad and extra pitas and tzatziki sauce. All the food came out quickly. It was hot and fresh! The chicken was grilled perfectly. Marinated and juicy. The Greek salad was fresh, lettuce was green and crispy. The Greek dressing was tangy and sweet and the potato salad buried underneath the lettuce was a welcomed surprise! The pitas were served grilled- warm and fluffy. And the tzatziki sauce was delicious! I really don't understand the low reviews. Our meal was STELLAR! We had an amazing meal and will definitely be back again when we're in the area!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Disgusting unsanitary place to eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Ordered a Greek Salad on 8/29/25 at 5:35 pm it was Uber delivered. When I took the first bite I bit into some employees false nail that had come off and into my salad because they were not using gloves to handle the food. Then when I reported the incident to the restaurant some employee saying she was the manager put the phone down and started laughing about my incident with the other restaurant staff. She did not offer any help or to refund my money. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I could hear her laughing still underneath her breath as she was talking I lost my money but will never again eat anything from this disgusting unsanitary restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Please be careful when you order from the Hungry Greek Restaurant in Tampa Florida

Great food & service! Would definitely recommend this place for a healthier lunch or dinner.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Quiet, clean, quick service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My daughter dropped in for lunch and we each had the chicken pita. I love homemade tziki sauce.

Not sure how to feel about this place. My boyfriend had the chicken pita with fries and really enjoyed his meal. I really didn't like my meal. I got the tabouli bowl. It was huge portions. Definitely enough for 2 whole meals. The chicken was really bad. I avoided it throughout the whole dish and the dish itself was very bitter. I would come back to try again - because my boyfriend liked it - but I definitely would not get the same thing again.

Ordered online. The pick up was really quick. The food was good and filling. Might try the geek salad next time. The place has a decent looking dining area.

We were looking for a place for lunch and Yelp brought up Hungry Greek nearby. I had never eaten here before, however, the reviews were good so we called in an order. 2 Chicken Philly Gyros, a Greek Salad and Greek Fries. I picked up the food and I was pleasantly surprised. The gyros were filled with a lot of flavorful grilled chicken, cheese and veggies. The fries were crispy and had lots of feta on them and the salad was very good. I have to say this was the best Greek takeout I have ever had and their tzatziki sauce is better than my go to favorite Greek place. I will definitely be eating here again.

Falafel Pita and fries. Really delicious :)

The customer service was genuinely some of the best we've ever experienced it was warm, welcoming, and so hospitable. The bread was phenomenal and worth the visit all on its own! We ordered two İnegöl Köfte plates to split between two adults and one child, and honestly, one plate would have been plenty because the portions are so generous. The köfte was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the rice was absolutely delicious, and the fresh salad was the perfect complement. I also ordered a side of chicken just to try it, and it was equally flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. For drinks, we tried the Turkish pear soda and the orange soda. Both were delicious, but the pear was my favorite and is a must-try! If you're looking for authentic, flavorful Turkish food with generous portions and outstanding hospitality, this is the place. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. In the spirit of expanding our culinary pallet, we ordered two apps that were new to us. The Kebbeh was very good - i'd say similar to a meat hush puppy? Krispy on the outside and flavorful on the inside. The Baba Ganju was different than what I was expecting and not something I personally liked (not any fault to the dish, I'm just a texture person). The chicken shawarma and gyro platter (it's a platter at dinner) were FANTASTIC! Seriously, so much flavor, fresh, the meat was not overly cooked. Everything tasted very fresh and we seriously had no complaints!! We also ordered a side of Batata, which are sort of crispy potato cubes with chili flakes + garlic - so good! I will say when we got there, there was a mishap and we waited over 20 minutes to be greeted and introduced to our server after we sat down. Once our server realized we were in her section, the rest of our service was amazing! I think that was just a one off fluke, and I would not let it negatively impact my experience.

We had a 6:30 PM reservation and the restaurant was fairly empty (about 4-5 tables occupied), yet we were seated at a very small two-top directly next to another couple where we could clearly hear each other's conversations. Several larger tables nearby remained empty the entire evening. When I asked about moving, we were told the tables were reserved and we'd need to leave by 8:30 PM ~ yet we stayed until 9:40 PM and those tables were never used... Service started off slow. No one greeted us for about 20 minutes until we waved someone over. When our server, Briana, arrived, she asked if we had been helped, which made it seem like there was a lack of communication between the host staff and servers. Food was okay: the branzino with grilled vegetables was very good, but the octopus was extremely tough and chewy. My plate was also chipped on both the left and right sides, which was surprising considering how expensive the dinner was. Drinks were fine, just a bit too sweet. What really caught me off guard was the automatic 20% gratuity added to a two-top. The most expensive restaurants in Tampa don't even do it and this is not Miami. Overall, not a terrible experience ~ but not one that makes me eager to return.

The lighting, décor, and green accent colors create such an elevated atmosphere while still feeling inviting. We started with the fries and hummus. The aioli served with the fries was delicious and definitely the highlight of the appetizers. The hummus wasn't bad, but I've had better. For my entrée, I ordered the salmon, which came with toasted orzo, tomato, spinach, olives, feta, pine nuts, and tzatziki. The portion size was generous, and the orzo was packed with creamy flavor without feeling too heavy. The tzatziki added a nice freshness to the dish. My only complaint was that the overall dish was just a little saltier than I would have preferred. Lastly, our server, Mariela, was fantastic. She handled our party of 10 incredibly well and was warm, friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, I was very pleased with our dining experience and am looking forward to coming back!

My husband enjoyed the French fries, and the garlic sauce was out of this world. The hummus was very good, so creamy. The restaurant stayed empty until we left. The outdoor space is super cute, too hot today to sit outside.
