We've been wanting to stop in and try this little restaurant and we are so glad we did. We both just got over the flu and really needed some delicious soup. The staff there are so wonderful and friendly. They took care of us in every aspect of a great lunch. The broth was delicious and it came with the usual to put in your soup if you want it. I would like to see a few more vegetables added as a basic, but it really was delicious. We both loved the fresh rolls and the spring rolls. I've been coming here for about five years, and even when there were small issues in the past like missing items after I got home or being shorted on broth big time. (I always order to-go btw) one thing was always consistent: the pho broth. Unfortunately, tonight was completely different. The broth I received was not the clear, rich beef broth I've come to expect. It was murky, lacked depth, and didn't taste like it had any beef base at all. The Phoever Pho was the best I've had in recent months. I traveled to South Korean and Japan in January. I now have a deep appreciation for pho with the fresh flavors. After reading the reviews I just had to pack up the car and take the family to Phoever for dinner. Luckily one of the reviews mentioned that they actually close at 8 pm even though the web says 9 pm. I called to make sure, and sure enough they close at 8 pm. Between the six of us we ordered pho, bahn mi, and rice plates. Everything was good. I wouldn't rate the food as GREAT; but I was happy with my meal. I didn't know it ahead of time, so I couldn't take advantage of the offer, but they give a ten percent discount to patrons that pay cash. Nice, especially these days when more and more places are going cashless. The restaurant itself was clean and neat. Let me start off by saying, I live in an area with a decent size Vietnamese population and I am very particular about my pho. So, when I say that this pho was absolutely delicious, you better believe it! I mean YUM! Compliments to the chef. If we are ever back in Pensacola, this restaurant will be at the top of our list of places to return to. The pho was so perfect that I have thought about it for weeks since having it. If you are in the mood for pho or have been wanting to try it for the first time, head on over to Phoever. It's an unassuming little strip mall sort of restaurant, which was very clean during our visit. They also give a discount for using cash, which was a plus. A bunch of people came in to get carry out, so that is an option you can consider if you are not looking to eat in the restaurant. My wife and I were hungry for some pho after a few days of burgers and fries on our most recent trip to the coast (3/8/2025). We were planning to visit Pho Golden Palace in Pensacola, but saw that Phoever was on the way, so we decided to take a chance on a newbie. Needless to say, we should have taken the extra miles and visited Pho Golden Palace in Pensacola. Our orders were: 2 P1 large - $16 each 1 order of spring rolls - $6 1 order of Matcha green tea boba drink - $7 1 water. Total ~$48 with tax before tip. Here are what I have to say about this place ... The place was nice and clean, but warm and humid. The owners were nice. The inside of the place was humid and warm as mentioned. We were there on Saturday, March 8 about 2 PM, and outside temp that day was mid 50's. The sriracha sauce was not the real thing. It was the imitation brand that was loaded into a generic squirt bottle. The pho tasted ok, and the side veggie condiments contained a small bunch of bean sprouts, a lime wedge, two slices of jalapeno, and a few leaves of basil. The spring roll was not very tasty. The order (~$6) came with two rolls and dipping peanut sauce. I wish the rolls were more tasty. The rolls contained some lettuce, noodles, and 3 half shrimp wrapped together. They should have included some type of meat, which would have made it more tasty. So needless to say, a $3 spring roll lacked some taste. Adding some meat to this roll won't break the bank is my recommendation. Perhaps my expectations are too high for good restaurant food now, especially having to pay higher prices for everything. Maybe I should just expect to pay more for lackluster quality food so that I won't be disappointed once I get my order. Would we go back to Phoever? It is very unlikely. Would I recommend? I would say drive the extra miles to other nearby pho restaurants such as Pho Golden Palace. The other pho place may not be any cheaper, but at least the food would taste better. read more

If you happen to be driving past this area from Pensacola to the Gulf Shores (and enjoy Vietnamese cuisine) then Phoever is a stop you need to make. After two days of full on fried food, our bodies needed a break and so I convinced my husband to make the 30 minute drive from our hotel to go to Phoever. He enjoys Pho but it's not something he likes especially when the weather is hot. I, on the other hand, can eat soup any time of the year. Fortunately this is the same for our half Vietnamese/half Caucasian kids who just love Pho throughout the year. Coming from eating some pretty lackluster meals on the gulf this place was a breath of fresh air and hit the spot for all of us. The Pho was some of the better that I've had when dining out and the prices were reasonable. This was also the first meal where our kids ate EVERYTHING. For parents who take their kids out to eat, you know what a monumental and celebratory moment this feels like. Outside of the delicious food, the owner was so incredibly sweet and kind. She engaged with our family and our kids and was extremely personable. We spent a good 10-15 minutes chatting with her after finishing our meal. Been to Phoever a couple of times. Would rate 3 1/2 stars. Phos are good, tried several. They've typical, nothing outstanding but fresh tasting. Pho Ga (chicken) broth is good but chicken appears to be sliced deli chicken or chicken roll & not fresh cooked chicken which was disappointing. The portions to me are small compared to other places I've been. Main menu is limited to pho or Bahn mi. Wasn't crazy about the bahn mi. Spring rolls & egg rolls are very good. The food was simple and to the point, and absolutely delicious. I've tried many phos from different cities, and this place is definitely on the top of the list. I got the P5 that had the fatty flank, and everything was great. The broth is so rich and full of flavor that I couldn't stop drinking it, and the fatty flank just melts in the mouth. The portion is nice also, the small was just enough where I didn't feel stuffed, but definitely coming back for the large next time! I also got the spring roll, which was alright, a little dry and the shrimps were small. But the pho is 5/5! read more
