This restaurant was recommended by my friend, who said it was the best pho place. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. First of all, the service was terrible. The server placed my glass of water so far away that I couldn't even reach it, and they were not friendly at all. As for the pho--which was supposed to be the best--the portion was very small. Most pho restaurants are generous with the slices of meat, but this one only had a few pieces. To make matters worse, the server brought the check within 15 minutes without saying anything, even though the restaurant was empty. My friend is Vietnamese, but I am not. I got a pho and asked if I could ask for tendon and beef brisket (since they didn't have that option) and they said yes and didn't have to pay an extra fee for that change. Yes we found a great Vietnamese restaurant on Canyon road. They have all of my favorite dishes. The main dish for us is the vermicelli bowl with chicken beef and shrimp, it is also served with veggies, fish or vegan sauce. The dish serving is huge and easily shared. We also ordered a side of fried egg rolls, they were amazing. The building is next to the Ford dealership. They have a large back side parking lot. I had a stressful week and needed a bowl of Pho. This restaurant is totally worth the 25 minute drive. This authentic Vietnamese Pho restaurant has an extensive Pho menu. You can also ask for a custom blend of ingredients. The ambiance is expansive with plenty of space between tables and booths large enough to seat 6 people. With cathedral ceilings the sense of airflow is so nice. I ask the waiter which Pho has the most tendon. He said #25 The tendon is soft and fresh here, the best in the Portland Metro area. If you take away anything from this review - service here is super friendly and accommodating, especially for big groups. Thank you so much for being so flexible with our group and seating arrangements on a Saturday night! We came here to meet up with a group (11 adults and 1 toddler needing a high chair) I called for a reservation earlier that afternoon and everything was good to go. Bonus they were able to do separate checks for the different groups we had within the group too. Honestly I really appreciated the extra effort in service. They have their own parking lot with ample parking. The restaurant is bright and open and best of all nice and cool (an escape from this heat!) They have a big menu but everything is numbered for easy ordering with detailed descriptions of what the dish will be and the ingredients. I didn't take a picture of the calamari and chicken wings we ordered but they both came out hot, fresh, and crispy. The dipping sauce for the calamari was a little sweet and the sweet chili sauce for the wings had more citrus flavor and it just caught me by surprise. Their portion for their price is really good and of course you get all the accompaniments for your noodle soups (basil, bean sprouts, lime) Don't skip out on the plum drink - it was sweet and tart the perfect sip from the hot noodle soups. I will say that the pho broth had a different spice taste than what I've had at other pho places (not bad just different) I thought my Bun Bo Hue (BBH spicy beef soup noodle) didn't have as much of a deep flavor as I would have liked. However everything was still good and the rest of the group really enjoyed the food as well. I was dying to see the inside because it used to be pretty dated and run down.We came on a moving day, myself and two minions and grabbed a late lunch. It is so nice inside! Totally freshened up and it looks great! Two young people served us and they were fine, not particularly friendly or unfriendly. Neutral.We didn't see a lot of them and that was ok. We felt tired and antisocial. I didn't get pho, pretty sure the chicken pho has a beef broth and I am not into it. I ordered calamari ($13) to share which was really good btw, and Woven Rice Vermicelli with grilled pork ($18) which was delicious and fresh and huge so I took half home to the kid. I had a $2 can of diet coke. Minion one got a Moda Bowl - Vermicelli with lemongrass pork and shrimp and spring rolls for$16. He inhaled it with a Thai iced Coffee ($6). He was so happy he stopped talking. Unheard of. Minion three (minion one's little brother) had pho with chicken ($14).He liked it. We had to remind him how to eat it as it had been a while. Chicken pho was fine but takeout experience left a lot to be desired. I'm not feeling well so I decided to order a bowl of chicken pho, but when I got it all the noodles, COLD chicken, and onions were shoved in a Chinese takeout box. There was no bowl included, so you better hope you have your own that's big enough. I understand that pho has a certain amount of assembly required, but this was a lot more frustrating of an experience I wanted when I was already sick. I have been eating at this restaurant since its opening, and I'm glad it still here. The ambiance is always great and comfortable, however, the radio channel was a little loud today. Food was always good. Moda bowl is my favorite dish whenever I came to this restaurant, but the portion today seems to be less than it used to be. I don't want to be petty, but it was barely five to six pieces of pork, tiny chunk of meat or even scrap of leftovet meats. Portion of noodles was less, too. I don't want to make it exaggerated but few "chopstickful" of noodles and the bowl was gone. I finished my bowl in under 10 minutes and I was still hungry, LOL. Egg roll was a bit over-fried that the stuff inside the roll broke out and burnt to black. Staff is always friendly. I came on lunch time today, and all the table was packed. We sat at the boots where I could observe and watch they were doing their job. The amount of work they had to do was overwhelming. Seriously, they had to pack to-go stuff, ordering online and phone orders, cash-out money to the people who plays slots at bar, and even make the bahn mi sandwich too. There were two staff in the shift and an old guy I believe who was a boss standing in the food counter help them keep track the food. I felt so bad for them, and they even kept saying sorry to us since the food had taken too long as usual. Overall, the experience was not bad, but not great. Another good pho joint in Beaverton. I hit up this spot when Pho King was closed. Also, recommended by my cousin-in-law. The broth (a little more on the Star Anise side than I would like) was nice and hot along with the noodles (slightly passed Al Dente). Decent meat portion size and try out the side of green onion ends in fat oil. I like to make my own dipping sauce with the Siracha and Hoisin sauce mixed 1 to 1 ratio in the little white sauce plate to dip the onions in. This will add an extra level of flavor when taking a bite of your Pho with the green onion. Also, the Fried Long Donut is another great accompanied guest with your broth. The Vegetarian egg rolls were ok because the veggies were a little overcooked. Then comes the Vietnamese Expresso AKA the pallet cleanser. This spot is literally my favorite Vietnamese restaurant! We've probably been here like 4 times already and we loved every single time. My go to order is always the dry Nam Vang with glass noodles! Soup broth is good. I'm Vietnamese so I have tasted pho all life. I'm very picky when it comes to the soup flavor and the soup temp. This one is not bad at all. Read reviews before critique because I've read a few others who thought the rice noodle was bad because it sticked to the Togo box. It's natural to be sticky and you're supposed to dump it into a pot to cook it a little. Overall, I like the soup here. Wished they would give more meat. read more

To be honest, most pho places in the beaverton area seem to be more on the dark and dingy side, but not Pholandia! It's located on the other side of town from me, close to many car dealerships, so we didn't know what to expect. So imagine my surprise seeing the tall ceilings, large windows and modern decor upon my entry! It was quite enjoyable sitting by the window, sipping the water while soaking in the green scenery from outside. We ordered some fresh spring rolls, beef stew, Portlandia pho and liked all of them. The spring rolls came with chicken, shrimp, greens and rice noodles. The skin of the rolls had a good chew on them. The pho tasted clean and was a good-sized portion, while the beef noodle soup was dark and savory. We finished everything, so needless to say we enjoyed our meal quite a lot. All the standard stuff is fine: dining space is very clean, staff is friendly and service was fast. My order was the Pholandia (pho). First impression is that it came with an impressive and generous amount of meat. The veggies/sprouts/toppings were barely enough for one person. My SO and I shared both our orders. She's Vietnamese so was the overall judge of the quality of our meals. Back to the pho - while it was generously portioned, the meat was pretty tough and chewy. And the broth.... There was something not quite right about the flavor. It wasn't bland, but it was off a bit. Also, it wasn't really a clear broth. That's a thing right? Broth should be clear. My SO's meal was fine. But that's it. Our meal was fine, but not exemplary. Was it worth the price? Sure... In Portland. But this is in Beaverton and the quality overall, I would expect to pay 10-15% less. I'm not sure if I would recommend this place, except that they are offering indoor dining right now and that is something to consider since many places are still currently outdoor or takeout only. I am so happy we stopped in for Sunday lunch. Ordered some Pho for my toddler, the Canyon Plate for myself, and my husband got the Moda Bowl. Food is great, portions are decent, staff is friendly, and the space is modern and clean. Hands down the best Pho on the West side - and that's big coming from me. I have been searching and searching for a place that wasn't on the East side since we moved last March to be our go-to if I'm too lazy to make Pho myself and this place is officially our Pho spot. Broth is rich, tasty, and well balanced in flavors and spices. The Canyon Plate (Com Dac Biet, essentially) had great portions, pork chop was juicy and flavorful, and I really enjoyed the meatloaf they serve with the rice plates. The meatloaf was unique and is a special family recipe and really made the rice dish stand out compared to other restaurants. Rice and shredded pork was slightly dry but otherwise the entire dish (and fish sauce) was really good. It also comes with a small side of soup broth as well. I'd order again. Husband enjoyed the Moda bowl. Also ordered an Avocado smoothie and it tasted good as well. I had yet to find a Vietnamese Restaurant with quality Pho, noodles dishes, and rice dishes that satisfied my cravings since moving from SE... until today! 10/10 recommend to those looking for good authentic Vietnamese food in the area.
