As always, the food is excellent. They serve really great Vietnamese dishes, and we absolutely love the chicken bún. In fact, we order the same thing every time because it's just that good--fresh, flavorful, and so tasty! That said, the prices do feel a bit inflated for a mainly noodle dish. While the quality keeps us coming back, it would be nice if the pricing were a little more in line with expectations. Small pho location, on a side street along a couple of other businesses. Nothing special, a limited menu but there was enough to choose from. Started with the summer roll and the I ordered the chicken pho, bbq pork with noodles bowl and a grilled shrimp noodle bowl. I like pho, but I like a good bun more, so my wife and I ordered a pork and an egg roll bun (see photos) here the other day. I can honestly say that they were some of the best we have ever had. The portions were generous, all the ingredients were fresh, our food came out nice and hot. What's not to like? The place is austere, but clean, even the restrooms. Service was great. This is the worst food I have ever had. Do not spend your money at this restaurant! I spent $73 on a lot of nothing. The summer rolls had no flavor and not enough peanut sauce to even eat with one roll much less 2. The egg rolls were at best from the frozen aisle. The chicken and beef dishes we ordered were each $20 plus with very Little beef or chicken and were overcooked. It all ended up in the garbage. While visiting the area from North Florida, I had to try this place. I went on a Wednesday evening and it was quiet with only three tables of customers. Staff was friendly and attentive. I opted for a vermicelli bowl with lemongrass grilled beef. The dish was excellent! My only complaint is the price which was 18.50 for the beef vermicelli bowl which is a little high in my opinion. The bahn mi menu looked delicious and seemed reasonably priced averaging around $10 to $11. I would definitely eat here again. read more

I don't eat pho very often. I love it! This place makes we want to find more pho places. It is very healthy, soul touching, comfort food that gives you a BIG hug! Veggie Broth, Tofu,onions, ginger,lemongrass, cinnamon sticks, let it summer for a bit and water and serve with fresh herbs cilantro, mint, bean sprouts, jalapeños, Thai basil. The properties that you are ingesting give the immune system a big boost. The spring rolls were made to order. You know how you know. The rice paper is very soft. So fresh and delicious. They give you their homemade peanut sauce that Kicks up a couple of notches. And your meal comes with a bottle of water to take with you. This called self care. Go home and have a good night sleep. nope!!! got the special, Pho, only one piece of beef tendon, and it was like a rubber ball. It should be cooked until soft, the sliced beef was so thick and so tough that it was not able to be chewed, broth was very salty and not very flavorful. extremely disappointed, always seems like the quality of the ingredients is not very good and somebody needs to work on executing the components of the Pho probably won't go back, only good thing was the service was very good and very kind. read more

This gas been our second time in this grate restaurant . The food has all been out standing as last time , I can't pick my favorite yet but the summer spring rolls were grate. The restaurant is ran with a full kitchen and one server but the service has always been grate they are very attentive and help you along the ordering when you don't have a clue what to eat. I never write reviews but being a server in the industry it takes a lot to ruin an experience for me. I went here on a Friday night and there were only 4 other tables. It took us 10 minutes just to get waters. We never even got the jasmine tea we ordered and were there 50 minutes before just deciding to leave cash on the table and leave. The couple next to us didn't even get their drinks either. We ordered an appetizer and pho and NEVER got the appetizer either after waiting 50 minutes. The cooks were cussing in the back, and the one waitress working was so stressed out because no one was helping. Crispy egg rolls tasted homemade and were nice and filled. Pho with tendon was very tasty. Complex broth. Noodles done perfectly. Veggies fresh. Also grabbed a grilled pork chop. Pork chops were ok. Pholicious is now changed to Vietaly (hopefully I spelled that correctly) -- changed owners about 2 months ago. Prior to the ownership change, food was amazing and more authentic than any other pho restaurants around downtown Sarasota. Since the change, sad to say, I would not go there again because 1. noodles of my pho were undercooked (this is so rare, typically this would be the other way around), 2. eggrolls were so salty that I ate half of the 3 eggrolls provided as the appetizer. Vietaly kept the look of the old restaurant with some added modern/hip decor, I don't like it because before I felt like I was walking into Vietnam for pho and now I am walking into any other non-authentic pho restaurant. Food quality and value of product to price. I ordered for delivery to Bradenton so paid a hefty fee on Uber to get it. First one entree was missing. Although Uber credited me it doesn't help the person who would be eating it for their meal. The amount of House Special fried rice was ridiculous for $21. Approximately the size of my small woman's hand. Maybe there were two shrimp cut into tiny pieces, very small amount of anything included in the rice. The stir fried veggies were in a plastic soup container steaming away into mush by the time I got them. Additionally tasteless. The spring rolls wrapped in rice membrane was old and hard on the ends which means they were not made fresh, I doubt made that day. Yuk.
