Spoke to my son on the phone yesterday and he told me that he and his brother went for Pho yesterday. So I jumped on Yelp to look for the nearest highly rated pho restaurant in came across Photastic. The yelp directions brought me to a parking space right in front of the restaurant. We arrived around 8 PM, an hour before closing. We were greeted immediately and sat in a nice table, which was clean and well equipped for a pho meal. Menus and water were brought immediately along with a warm greeting from the waitress. Immediately, I noticed that I had interacted with two members of the staff at each admin, gracious and welcoming. I found the discontinued through the entire meal with other people, stopping by to make sure that everything was perfect and being enjoyed by us. I went to the restroom to wash and noted it to be immaculate. This is usually one of the best signs that a restaurant pays attention to detail and I am always happy to see that they are meticulous. Our order was taken and we were served very quickly. First out was the condiments/toppings. The peanut based sauce for the spring rolls and the vegetables for the pho. We began with Gỏi Cuốn, Vietnamese spring rolls. Traditionally these are fresh shrimp, vermicelli noodles, and lettuce wrapped in thin, translucent rice paper served cold with a savory dipping sauce, often a peanut-based sauce and here they are customized with delicious fresh herbs and vegetables, as well as pork. Personally, I do not like it as much with pork, but had not noticed that it was made this way on the menu when I ordered and next time, I'll ask if it is available without the pork. I will say, however, that is hands-down, the very best Gỏi Cuốn I have ever eaten. My wife and I both ordered pho. She chose the chicken while I opted for the steak and meatball. We found all of the meats very chewy in texture, but they were extremely tasty. The portions were huge and the broth was delicious. The flavorful soups with fresh noodles and ingredients were both spectacular. Portions are excellent. I like mine spicy and the perfect condiments were available right on the table. The Matcha latte Boba tea was quite good as well. Prices were in line with other local restaurants which will somewhat high are right, where I expect them to be locally. The overall experience was great. I did notice that somebody walked in about a minute before the post to closing time and was turned away. While, I find this to be unusual in local family owned restaurants, it is certainly not unreasonable. So if you're a late eater, check the hours before arriving. This was my first visit in this restaurant has moved right onto my list of favorite comfort foods nearby my home. If you like pho, I highly recommend you try it. read more

Was skeptical in having a bowl of noodle soup in 90 degrees weather so I opted into a banh mi. First impression of everyone's order was that these bowls are huge but my banh mi is small. First bite into it blew my mind of how crispy on the outside and soft in the inside the bread was. The flavor that came with every bite had me asking a sharing bowl to try all the other orders. Everything was delicious and definitely worth the sweat and calories that came with it. The gains of enriched flavor, strong beef collagen broth , and crispy vegetables spring roll noodles made a pleasant meal. First visit to Photastic and it didn't disappoint! Went in late afternoon for dinner and was seated immediately. The restaurant has a cozy setting with fabric-covered seating that adds a nice touch. Ordered the #25 Pho Tastic Noodle Soup and the #19 Charbroiled Pork Chop with Egg. Both dishes were fresh, hot, and flavorful. The pork chops were meaty and perfectly seasoned, and the pho broth was delicious and satisfying. By the time we finished, several more guests had come in--clearly a popular spot! Weather dropping to 60 calls for some hot Pho! Thank god, I found this spot on Yelp. With their awesome reviews I did not hesitate to stop by. The spot is small, and cozy. The food was amazing. For appetizers, I ordered their fried shrimp which came with a sweet sauce. 10/10. Shrimp was huge & not extremely battered like in other places. Of course I had to get their Photastic pho! It's a must try. Came in a huge bowl. I had enough left over for dinner. My bf had a noodle bowl, w/ bbq ribs (I think) he loved it. We also ordered boba. Absolutely amazing experience at Pho-Tastic! The pho was rich, flavorful, and tasted incredibly fresh. The broth had that perfect slow-simmered depth that you can tell takes hours to make. I also got the Korean short rib vermicelli bowl. This was also very good. I only gave 3 stars because the "Banh Mi" wax the worst I ever had. Although the lemongrass chicken was tasty & the toppings were fresh the bread was soft like chewing gum. Everyone knows that a good "Banh Mi" is made with a roll similar to a French baguette. I am glad that now we can get Vietnamese food in the Kendall area, without having to make a long drive. We ordered a banh mi, aka Vietnamese sub. Vietnamese baguette is usually made partly with rice flour, giving it a softer texture than French baguette. The use of pickled vegetables and cilantro gives it a refreshing touch, making it perfect for South Florida weather. I quite enjoyed it. We also tried the bun bo hue, which is a spicy noodle soup with beef and pork. The soup is delicious, and not too spicy. The meat is a bit tough though - both the beef and pork, and especially the pig feet. The noodle bowls are pricier than average, almost $20 for a pho, so given the price I was somewhat disappointed with the quality of food. I know there's the supplies issue and inflation, and this place looks modern and clean and not divey, which I appreciate, but nonetheless the quality of the meat made our meal less than enjoyable. read more

Unfortunately decided to give this place a try and was not too impressed. Everything from deceitful "2.5 service charge and run down menus/seats." Someone recommended this place but I'm sure they are not even a shadow of what they used to be. The parking is very easy to find because it's in a desolated shopping center. The waiter seems to have been new but he was very courteous and definitely commend him for his good service. As for the food I know pho or Ramen tends to be salty but this was a bit overboard with the sodium. The menu has a bunch of chicken scratch and white out of what the prices used to be. Which is what I would have paid for this food. I understand inflation makes prices go up but it's just not worth the value for the food. Taking into consideration the quality and amount of protein included. At the entrance there is a paper torn in half that mentions the penalization for paying with credit card. It's understood that merchant services charges a nominal fee to process transactions ... but if you already jacked up the prices ridiculous amounts don't look to chip away at the customers making a quick dime charging a fee that customers excited to eat pass at the door. I thought I was the only person thinking it but as I exited two other people walking out also were speaking about how expensive and how it was not worth it. Only conforming what I thought. Honestly I'm no expert but if you want decently priced ramen/pho type soup z Ramen is still king in the area. Great customer service and you get your food very rapidly. Everything is made to order and has any immense amount of flavor. The classic Pho Tastic Noodle Soup flavors were very noticeable with the taste of the beef and pork. The noodles are not that thick which is how I like them. You can definitely share a bowl for two it is a lot of food. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you receive. Highly recommend this restaurant. Pho Tastic was so fantastic we went twice on the same day! It started like this. We stopped by because I wanted boba tea. I ordered one to go and it hit the spot after a hot as hell day spent in Homestead. When we ordered, we had to go in, and the décor impressed us. Since we were full as this was in the afternoon, we figured we would pass by for dinner later and that we did. Giovanni was our waiter and he was so nice. My girlfriend went very basic and got some sort of beef pho that she seemingly loved. We also ordered and split the dumplings, which were little pillows of heaven in your mouth. The real interesting bit is I decided to be adventurous that day. I saw spicy for one of their soups and went for it. It was the spicy hue noodle one and where has this been all my life? Apparently there was a lot of warning for this dish, as it's an acquired taste, but I absolutely loved it. More so, I was able to get two full meals out of it! Anyway, the soup isn't for everyone. I didn't find it spicy, just flavorful, and so I poured who knows how much more spice in it. That said, the soup does consist of a lot of meat, both beef and pork, and more than anything pig feet, which admittedly I was a bit hesitant about. Turns out the pig feet were the best part. I do suggest asking for a knife though... it was a bit difficult cutting up the oink oink so to speak. That and if the smell of so much meat deters you, use the hoisin sauce. I promise you that this will be a meal well worth it. Sigh. Just remembering that soup makes me want to go again. Will definitely have to drive sometime south again soon and try some more of their dishes. If their out there stuff is delicious, I can only imagine their classics. Yum in the tum. read more
