You are able to become a member - don't ask me how, I'm just a chun dy paw who shops here. You receive slight discounts on everything. You'll notice on the price tags the "member" price and the normal price. It's seriously like 10¢ less for members - so unless the membership is free (don't hold your breath!), I don't see myself jumping on that too soon. They've got dried goods, canned goods, frozen sections, fresh vegetable and meat sections, juice and soda sections, snack sections, condiment sections, noodle and rice sections, cookware sections (utensils, dishes, rice cookers, deep friers, etc.), cleaning ware sections, paper goods section (think wholesale sized boxes of napkins, toilet tissue and paper towels) and just about everything in between. The price is right as well. I go here to stock up on $1 bags of frozen edamame, gyoza and bags of noodles and condiments as well. The workers are all just buzzing around you on forklifts, moving inventory and stocking shelves. They leave you alone and don't bother you until you're ready to check out. Chances are, an older asian lady will ring your stuff out. A younger asian guy will pack your items into boxes and an older asian guy will drop it down the loading dock, wheel it to your car and pack it into your trunk for you. Talk about service! It's just how they operate. No bells and whistles. Just good old fashioned straight up wholesale asian food products.

It's almost like a Costco's for Asians, and all the fresh-off-the-boats seem to know about its existence. (Warning - be careful during Chinese New Year - EVERYONE and their mom seem to come here for stuff.) While it's encouraged that you have a membership at Food-Pak if you purchase from there frequently, you can shop normally without one. We get our ice cream by the gallon from here (green tea, red bean, and ginger - the specialty kind), along with fortune cookies and place mats for Asian night. Their utensils and other food supplies are sold by the thousands in large boxes, so make sure you have a car with lots of storage (or a van) if you do come here. The service is fantastic - they'll help you bring your stuff to your car and load it with you. What can I say - I'm a sucker for cost savings and any benefits that come along with it.

If you are from the Philippines the service is good. Usually, it's only the owner who is watching the store but it's pretty quiet for the most part whenever I am there and he takes time talking to us when we are shopping or if we need any information about anything he is also very helpful. We always love coming back at the store, even though we don't come by all the time because of the distance. But highly recommended if you're around the area.

A second lady behind the counter took my $5 and gave me my change. My order was handed to me in a bag complete with a couple of napkins.
