If you are an lgbtqia+ person who is need of medical help, this is the place to go. I came to this location a month ago for something I have put off. I was apprehensive on how I would be treated because of who I am. I wish every doctor's office, emergency room and psychologist could take a lesson from the staff here. I began transitioning from FtoM a year ago and it's been tough to have my pronouns, needs or my symptoms taken seriously. I often feel dismissed before the dr even sees me. Since I don't appear male presenting yet I know it causes confusion. I have anxiety because of it when it comes to situations with medical establishments. I've had many visits that I have been treated poorly and misgendered. Physicians immediate care has changed my outlook on healthcare and I'm very thankful. The front desk person Lynzey is an outstanding person! When they were taking my information for the registration, they double checked with me on how I would like to be addressed and the pronouns that I use. They also asked if I have a chosen name beside my birth name I want to use. My ID states male but the registration asks you to choose between male or female for "sex at birth", I had to choose female. This is why I was asked in private for the pronouns and chosen name. No one has ever thought to ask me this in any medical setting. Lynzey explained that the staff will be compassionate to my needs and not to worry, that they only want me to feel better and it's ok to be honest. \They also made sure to give me information for lgbtqia+ centers for outreach and medical care. This is the first medical office where I could be myself and not feel like an alien! The nurses and DR are just as tremendous too and answered all my questions. I didn't feel like I had to hide anything. I have recommended this clinic to anyone I know. Several of my friends have had the exact same experience with the staff, which makes me so so happy. If you are like me and scared to go the dr's office because you will be misgendered or neglected, give physicians immediate care a shot! Thank you Lynzey for everything you did. I went to Physicians Immediate Care (after checking on my insurance provider's website that they are in network) to get tested for covid and flu. The front desk intake process was awful; the receptionist was so cold, and they make you do the check in with an ipad while you're sitting there coughing. The nurse was nicer. She suggested that since I reported sore throat I should also be checked for strep; I agreed. I didn't ask how much this would be; but since I had insurance I assumed I'd pay some money as I haven't met my deductible. A young doctor read my tests results and I was out quickly. In and out less than 1 hour total. But after insurance paid, the patient's responsibility is close to $300. Lesson learned, ask costs up front, I guess? I feel terrible saying this but if you're in a similar position, save yourself some money and don't get tested, or look elsewhere for more affordable testing. read more

Go literally anywhere else!!! If I could give no stars I would. Absurd fees for walking in with in their business hours. Had me take tests I didn't need. Then proceed to send me to the hospital because my "virals were concerning"...after a visit to the ER where that doctor said physicians immediate care wasted my time and money, I still left the ER with a lower bill than I got there.... $700+ for both of them to say I have a bad cold or some virus that will clear up with over the counter medicine. This is a scam, do not come here. I walked in because of a cough, was and was immediately bombarded with ads for their own off-brand GLP-1, including a mandatory survey about if I was interested. I was also asked by both the receptionist and physician if I was interested in learning more. I thought that was strange and seemed sketchy. I saw the doctor for 5 minutes and received a Covid test. The doctor was perfectly nice. Then I received a bill that I thought was incorrect, so I called. It turns out, every patient who walks in the door is automatically charged $315, plus an additional $40 if it's a night or weekend. I was also charged $65 for the Covid test. They do not offer any type of payment assistance and kept telling me it was my insurance company's fault for the high charge. read more

I use to go to this urgent care often but since they were acquired by well now my experience has been nothing short of horrific. Overcharged for everything, for simple tests and for healthcare which would be better distanced by chat gpt. I recently suffered a fall and went to get checked out, the doctor didn't say anything to me, didn't even perform any tests or touch around my injury to check for anything at all. I even had to ask for a prescription (which was never called in my the office to the pharmacy). While waiting at the pharmacy the pharmacist even explained how god awful this practice has become. I then received a charge for $300 for the visit after insurance, which I already met my deductible for the year so it is absolutely not the case they didn't run my insurance which was provided multiple times & then try to con me by setting me up for auto pay. I will never be returning to this business again as they seem to have become fraudulent medical malpractice & I foresee a lawsuit for them in the near future. 0/100. Went in on 12/14 around 7pm with our 7 month old with a cold with potential fever. The first person to come in the room believe her name was Rosa, cut my wife off as she was telling her what had happened and how he's been feeling. As my wife was giving Rosa the story of how he's been all day, she cut her off and said , "I need to hear HIS symptoms" as if the story didn't matter. And it may not have mattered, but when coming in with a young baby it's a worrisome time and she disregarded all my wife was telling her. We're a younger couple with a young baby and she was extremely rude and dismissive, probably because it was close to closing time. After that, I was skeptical and about to leave, but decided to just wait for the doctor to come in. Then Rosa comes in with a Covid and flu swab test, we reluctantly agreed for our 7 month old to take them. As he was on my lap, she came with the swabs. She was super aggressive with my son and I asked her to stop the test because she was super aggressive with swabbing his nose. She didn't stop. I had to physically remove the swab from his nose because she would not stop!!!! At that point I knew we should have left. Horrible treatment and horrible bedside manner. She didn't care that she was too pushy, wasn't apologetic of her roughness. Just said "OK" and walked out the room. Keep in mind the facility was empty, maybe 1 other patient. When the doctor or PA came in, she had much better bedside manner and was much more pleasant and I thank them for that. I understand it's probably tough being with worried parents and young baby's, but a little grace goes a long way and the way Rosa acted was super uncalled for and her lack of remorse was insane to us. Horrible experience came to my appointment 20 min prior to my appointment to be told 20 min later that I would have to wait an other 40 min as the Physician was going on lunch. Told the front desk who was on FaceTime with her boyfriend that was just plain rude who started to scream at me with the person on face time screaming at me too. So unprofessional, I am a physician and doesn't treat my patients like this. Unacceptable behavior from the physician to the front desk. It's a bummer I have to follow the other reviews. We were able to be seen quick which was great. However we felt the level of care was low. Both myself and spouse came in sick. We got tested for flu, strep, and COVID. All negative and basically the PA came in for maybe 5 minutes total maybe less. They took vitals and looked at us and said it's a repository infection and sent us home both could be done. Well the next day woke up with a horrible ear infection and assumed needed antibiotic. I called and was told someone would call back. No one ever called. Of course. And I was forced to go to a different urgent care and get my ear looked at. They said there is no way an infection like this developed one day later and prescribed antibiotics. It's a shame this place just seems like a money grab and not that they care about the people they are seeing or their well-being Also, the facility was dirty and gross. The bathroom was filthy, garbage over flowing, and the floors/faculty was super dusty and not clean. Would not go back here. read more

Update: Sent an email to wellnow per their request to address my billing issues and never received a response back. Called wellnow for a 5th time regarding my refund for the copay of $98.09 that should not have been taken in the first place, just to be advised by the agent that it was sitting on the account as a credit and the only way to receive it back was to call and request it be refunded, which she intern said she would escalate to another group to look into. Then today received a text that I received a refund of $22.95 back, no explanation. Called wellnow again, which they advised they only refunded part of the copay and the remaining is sitting with Insurance, which when I talked to my insurance company, they advised the claim was processed a few weeks after the visit and Wellnow had already been paid out over a month ago. So now Wellnow has to escalate it to the same group again so I can receive my full refund. Unbelievable, this has been a nightmare dealing with the billing from here, I have never experienced such mismanagement of accounts and funds going to an urgent care nor have I have been over charged for a co-pay and had to call multiple times to get it refunded. read more

Their policy is to charge you a $40.00 co-pay even if you have full coverage. I walked out. I doubt that is even legal.

I will not go back to this place for covid testing, or probably anything. I went to get a PCR covid test at the Physician's Immediate Care because I was feeling awful and didn't trust the negative results from the home tests I had taken. I was isolating at home as if I have covid until I knew I didn't because I didn't want to infect my family. PIC's website says PCR test results take 48-72 hours. The doctor (at least I think she was a doctor) told me it would take two days, but the assistant told me right before I left that it would take 3-5 business days (i.e. 5-7 days). After 48 hours I tried calling. I waited 20 minutes and then left a message. No returned call. After 72 hours, I tried calling again, and again waited 20 minutes before leaving a message. Since there was no way to call them, I had to go back to the clinic to ask. The person working the desk was admittedly very nice and said the issue was with Quest (the lab, I guess) and that I should get a phone call in 1-2 more days. He was the only person I met there who seemed empathetic. It has now been 7 days and I still haven't heard anything. At this point, I am 10 days from when I first had symptoms, so it doesn't even matter what the result says in terms of taking precautions. The whole thing was a complete waste of time and money, and very frustrating. My experience getting seen in the clinic wasn't good either. If I have to get a PCR test in the future, I will try Walgreens. If I have any urgent care needs, I'll go to Northwestern's urgent care clinic. read more

I took my son to get treatment from a wart and we were in there exactly 10 minutes and they put a solution on it that did not work and changed me almost 300?!? Insane. I paid the bill as I didn't want my credit ruined after they sent the bill to collections (!!) and I ended up having to take him to a dermatologist to solve the problem. I should have been told up front that either 1) my insurance wouldn't cover it or 2) if it didn't cover it here Is how much it would cost. It must have been the way their office coded the " procedure as when we had it redone at a dermatologist a month later my insurance covered it at 100. We Tried scheduling an "urgent care" appointment online and their website didn't say one was available until 5 hours later. Then we saw on another spot on their website on the same screen as the appointment scheduled that "walk in's-available 15 - 45 minutes", which spoiler alert ended up being a complete lie. Then tried calling the facility, to clear up that contradiction, and we got a robot who gave multiple conflicting answers as well. We Then tried speaking to a representative to get clarification from the clearly contradicting information on the website and robot and we just got disconnected from the call multiple times. But it was the closest in network place and the website did say 15 - 45 minutes, so we decided to make the 20 minute journey over there as we were in need of urgent care. Once there with an empty lobby the representative, who we were not able to get a hold of on the phone because they have so much to do obviously, informed us there was no doctors in the facility. No doctors in an urgent care facility we said? That wasn't advertised on your website? They said we could either do a tele health visit in the facility or go to another facility, which was "10 minutes away". We checked and it was a 30 minute walk and we were not in need for a tele health visit that we could've done from home. We were in need of urgent care from a medical provider. We said thank you and politely left feeling very bad about our experience Your website had conflicting information about app ointment times, you didn't have a doctor on staff, and I couldn't even get ahold of you to ask what was true or if we could come. Your company failed miserably at everything you were meant to do and in-fact made our symptoms worse for nudging us to make that 20 minute (40 round trip) for nothing. read more

We were charged for a 40 minutes visit and met with the nurse / doctor for only 10-15 minutes. I disputed this charge and after a few attempts to see if they could reduce the bill since we waited heavily they declined. This is not an efficient operation and will never go back. read more

I'm honestly not sure why they give you the option to sign in online. I know it's not an appointment, but rather a time slot. In my previous experience working in a clinic, you're supposed to take the online patients first if their time slot succeeds those in person. I came here on a Tuesday at 7:10pm (my time slot), and my name was posted as #1 next and all 4 people that listed under me were taken back first. I just think why should you be offering clockwise online check in? It should be honored in my opinion. Other than that the staff is excellent and I have never had a bad experience here. I definitely recommend this place! They're nice and efficient. Not the fastest though. I'd expect to wait about 30-40 minutes to be called back. Went here to get stitches after a bad chef's knife accident. I only waited 5 minutes before I was seen. Assistants and the PA who sewed me up were all very attentive and friendly. Sat there for 2 and 1/2 hours to get a script, not one printer works, so had to leave and go to different location where they expected me to sit and wait behind 6 people. I have pneumonia! Even though th PA called ahead, to explain the problem they were having. After finally getting in to see another PA, he hands me a paper not a script! It was emailed to CVS. Just took 4 hours for something that was emailed all along! This was all unnecessary! Absolutely the worst!!! read more

I would not recommend this healthcare provider. The doctor didn't really have a great bedside manner. I felt like I wasn't heard as a patient. It was the first time where I wondered if the doctor didn't listen to me because I am a person of color. However, I don't know if that was the reasoning. Prior to the doctor even coming into the examination room, she already assumed the diagnosis. I have been to many urgent care facilities, but I have never left feeling like I wasn't taken care of. I have been experiencing symptoms for several days, but the doctor wanted me to experience them longer until she provided the proper treatment. I notified her of my past medical records, but she disregard the past treatment from several other doctors. I felt like my visit was unnecessary, and it felt as if the doctor thought it was the same. Also, the receptionist was on his phone the whole time, and not really tending to the patients of the facility. He improperly filled out the reason for my visit and failed to correct it upon my exit. read more

Physician's Assistant Tara Miller and the other staff were impressive. I had a strange rash around a bug bite. They spent a lot of time trying to figure it out and wound up prescribing antibiotics that worked. It turned out they may have saved me from contracting a serious case of Lyme disease, which can wreck your life. All the staff seemed alert and motivated--the opposite of what you would think in a place where thousands of strangers stream through. Also the visit was quick and cheap. Highly recommend. read more

Visited this location almost three months ago (beginning of June) for treatment of extreme pain. Doctor chose not to perform a full exam of the issue - due to said pain - and administered antibiotics. I was provided NO pain medication or follow-up advice should her treatment plan not work. This severe pain persisted for nearly a month before easing up on its own (the administered treatment was for a condition which had tests come back negative, so it did nothing), and due to my job as a server during the busy summer season, all I could do was suffer working through it, lose my job, or waste even more of my limited money by visiting another care center... So obviously I chose the first option. This would have been a 2 to 2.5 star experience, because at least the desk staff and PA were personable and I was seen quickly (even though I felt rushed through the end of the appointment and had no opportunity to ask followup questions), but I just received a bill TODAY for services to the tune of almost $300, with less than five days to pay the balance. All I can say is thank God I happened to have the money on hand this week... And patients looking for treatment options: Expect to be surprised with a bill months down the line and limited notice to pay. read more

I was feeling really sick so I went in to ask if I could wait for any cancellations and they ended up seeing me right away. I received a strep throat test here and was billed over $300. Insurance covered $10. Online, they have the prices of various tests and procedures listed. Strep throat visits were listed as $160 total for visit and test. When I called to discuss my bill, I was told that the prices online are only accurate if you self pay and do not go through insurance. I felt like this place should have been more upfront with pricing and billing. It doesn't make sense for the price to double if you choose to pay with insurance... this is something they should tell you beforehand. On top of it all, my visit was done with the physician via telephone from outside the room. My total face to face time with a provider was less than 1 minute. This is the worst place ever. They're trying to illegally charge patients $325 for rapid PRC tests when they should be free and covered by the insurance. They claimed that they do not accept insurance even though they are "in network" so I had to pay up front. Do not go here! I went to this urgent care twice and both times they accepted my insurance and told me I would only have to pay the $10 co-pay. Lo and behold, I get a bill for nearly $500 dollars for both visits despite being told I would not have to pay out of pocket. On top of that, I was misdiagnosed with strep and prescribed antibiotics even though I tested negative for strep. This is a great urgent care center! I've never waited more than 5 minutes to get in, it's clean, and the doctors have been able to diagnose my ailments every time. Just like all urgent care centers, they can't do everything a regular family physician can.
