This February was my second, and last time at IVme in Old Town. I don't like the intake. I get saline, to help with dehydration. I live a few blocks away so I walk to the clinic. Both times, as soon as I arrive and check in, two nurses rush me to the back, they are asking questions, one is putting in the IV and the other is checking my blood pressure. My blood pressure was elevated both times. My most recent visit, she also took my bp over my hoodie sleeve and the first thing she says is, "You're going to need to get on meds." What "nurse" isn't aware of how blood pressure work? I just walked blocks, you didn't let me sit, you're talking to me, the cuff isn't on my arm it's on a sweater and you think my readings wouldn't be elevated? Also, how can 1 or 2 readings determine medication? Giving unsolicited medical advice to a stranger whose medical history you know nothing about is condescending. She could've simply said your reading is high, follow up with your doctor. On another note, the clinic is clean, beautiful, comfortable and the receptionist was very friendly. I can't say enough good things about IVme and their staff. Everyone is extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. You can book an appointment online, but I usually call the day of if there are no appointments available online and they mostly always can sneak me in to get an IV. If you don't know what type of IV or Immune Shot you want, you can ask the receptionist, they always point me in the right direction. I've gotten the B12 shot, NAD+ shot, Tri-Immune shot, and almost all of the IVs. The hangover one is a LIFESAVER if you're not feeling so hot the next day after over-indulging the night before. After having food poisoning and jet lag after returning from a trip to Egypt, I was feeling super depleted and needed a boost to get back on track. I went here for the first time to the Old Town location and got the immunity iv, and they gave me a free B6 shot for my first time. The nurse Taylor was so kind and welcoming and helpful. My drip was pretty slow so she made sure I was comfortable and got me a blanket, and I watched Hulu and Netflix shows in the comfortable little rooms they have. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!! I went for a couple weeks for a shot that is supposed to help you lose weight. I can't think of the name of it. I went for about two months and nothing was happening. I went to another clinic to get them, not only were they half the price of what IVME was charging, but the liquid is SUPPOSED to be red. The nurse at this clinic said if it's not a red liquid, they're not giving you the correct shot. Turned out they were injecting water in me. ALSO, they did the same for my Botox. I spent a couple hundred for Botox and NONE of it worked. NONE OF IT!!!! I went in and the nurse said well, maybe it was a bad batch. REALLY??? ALL OF IT???? She was full of it. She offered a bit of a credit. NO THANK YOU! WHY WOULD I GO BACK TO YOU? I think because I didn't tip, it was their way of getting even. I'm not tipping you for doing your job. This is by far one of my favourite places in Chicago! I got hooked on IVMe last fall during my busy season at work when I started to get a cold & an IV completely knocked it out. Ever since then when I start to feel something coming on- I head on in for the cold & flu IV & feel like a new person. Quick tip- if you get the cold & flu and still aren't completely better- you can come back in 48 hours for half off another cold & flu IV. While I know it is a pricy service- I'd rather pay up front and get better than have to get sick and end up at the doctor! I walked in here on a Saturday and asked if they could fit me in. The friendly front desk person asked me to hold on one minute and checked in the back. They had space for me so I was able to get my first IV hydration therapy. It was amazing. I got a room to myself and got to watch cable while my body took in an IV with vitamin c and b complex. Afterwards I got a B12 shot. I was in town for the weekend, visiting Chicago from North Carolina. I have never felt better on a trip flying home than flying to a destination, until I got IV hydration. I have felt better for a couple of weeks now. I'm sleeping better too. Went to Lollapalooza a month ago and didn't pace myself, ended up dehydrated and hungover. I was able to call the store and set up an appointment immediately and they kindly guided me through the different solutions they offered. All the employees were so understandable too. The prices amazed me for the service they provided, and the whole experience left a lasting impression on me as it was only 30 mins for the full treatment. Olivia did my cheek filler, to regain some texture that I'd lost and soften my naso-labial folds. This was the first time I was getting anything "done" since braces, so I was definitely out of my element. All my fears vanished when I saw her and talked to her: she took the time to listen to my concerns, talk me through what she was going to do, and offer to take it very slowly and work our way up if needed. I can't say that having your face injected is a lovely experience, but I'm obsessed with the results and am 100% going back. It's definitely noticeable, but natural - the kind of difference that will make people think you're looking very healthy, sleeping well etc., but not that you've had "work" done. Today was my first time at both this location and as a customer and I cannot say enough great things about both the treatment and the staff. I woke up with a migraine and stomach ache that very quickly turned into excessive vomiting and dehydration. I called and they were able to fit me in in the next hour. The staff were so patient and so friendly; I felt awful and they were understanding and really seemed to care about helping me feel better. The nurses/techs that administered my IV were really friendly, funny and professional and explained everything to me as they went. I hate needles and I barely felt ANYTHING when she put the IV in. That's how good they are. I got the Base IV and felt way better after. The price point was reasonable to me and worth it. I love this place! Everyone is super friendly and professional. I went to the old town location because it's closer to my house, and after days of feeling dehydrated I decided to just get the baseline iv because I needed energy. So once the iv was put in place I thought I was golden but unfortunately my vein popped so I didn't get half of the fluids and I didn't know but the nurse caught that immediately. For a while, I had wanted to try intravenous vitamins for better absorption, so I started researching places for this service. This place had a great website and was easily navigable, so I booked an appointment online. I was a new client, so a credit card is needed to reserve your spot. I liked that they had many times available. Got down to Old Town, parked, and walked inside. The receptionist was on the phone, so I took a seat until she was free. I was given an iPad for the intake form, but was a little surprised how uncomprehensive it seemed to be-they only wanted to know my name and address and what I was there for. I figured since they would be injecting me with different substances for health reasons, they would have wanted more information. Anyway, the staff was super friendly and receptive, and when I sat down in the chair with I guess who was the doctor, I was asked if I had any questions or allergies in a somewhat rushed fashion. Hey, I'm a new client, maybe slow down the script and explain how things work? I did get some info on what was in the IV, but if you're going to be injecting me with chemicals, at least give the lowdown like I'm new, which I was. Maybe they have too much emergency room mentality in their heads? So I was walked over to the chill room to let my IV do its thing. The oxygen tank I was initially set up with had to be replaced as I was already sitting there. Maybe they could check to see if their equipment is functioning correctly before setting clients in the room? Also, I was really cold, and was given a blanket, but I was still cold. I know IV's make you a little chilly, but I was still kinda cold. So for $189 (no new client special or anything), I was in and out in less than 30-minutes. This seems way pricey to me, considering the brevity of a service of this kind. But I knew the cost ahead of time, so I agreed. I did feel great immediately afterward, and a headache I had did seem to dissipate. But the reason for less stars is the receptionist said "Well, we are a spa. Did you want to leave a gratuity?" I was kinda floored by this inquiry, and not wanting to be an asshole, I said sure, and had her add some to my bill just before I left. Now maybe this is just me, but I think a business that has wellness and performance on their sign outside (and nowhere does it say "spa", while employing a medical staff shouldn't be soliciting tips. Or at least, don't rely on the type of business model where the workers aren't paid enough and expect the client to make up for it. How about a solid salary so everyone's happy? Besides, I couldn't tell you the name of either the worker who attended to me, or the doctor's name. Because we spent such minimal time together. Now I can see if you're getting a 90-minute massage, where the therapist is working hard and using intuition, continuing education, and skills to provide a great service how that would warrant a nice tip. But the nature of this particular business is very mechanical and does not require thinking on your feet, going through a laborious process, or getting super intimate with a client's pain. For this reason, I probably won't come back as much as I had intended to. I did appreciate the friendliness of the entire staff though. read more

The space is clean and beautiful, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they really tailor each treatment to your Individual needs. On one of those "I'm never drinking again" days, I basically crawled in the door and left feeling 100% better. The nurse continued to check in on me and adjust my treatment to my symptoms. IV clinics are a great way to save money. IVme was the first one to open in Chicago. It has saved me from a few expensive trips to the ER over the last 3.5 years. I'd much rather pay $160 to feel better almost instantly and not wait for triage to get to me than go to the ER and run up a bill for 1000's of dollars. IVme has a great, friendly staff. Everyone is very warm and welcoming. The services they offer really do help with immediate care at a fraction of the price of other Dr's and hospitals. If you have a hangover, food poisoning or a flue virus the wonderful staff at IVme will have you feeling much better than you would have thought possible when you arrived. This requires an update. My last review was during the Cubs World Series run. Today I showed up at IVME. A lot of people don't give a shit but these people do. I was refused service today for my OWN WELL BEING. I'm so hungover, feel like hell, but rules and precautions are a necessity. Better safe than sorry!! Since my blood pressure was too high, 140/100 they couldn't run the risk of flooding my body with fluids. They could have taken my money, done the detox, but they didn't. They advised me that is was too risky . At 34, that's what 2 nights of an open bar will do to you when celebrating your best friends wedding. Thank you for taking precautions. Sure I would have loved to get fluids, but I'd much rather see tomorrow. Thanks you. If I could give 10,000 stars I would. First, you have the nicest women working at this facility. So friendly, so welcoming, and always willing to listen to me ramble. Everyone is so kind. The girls at the counter, the nurses, and the doctors. I really feel at home. I go for hangovers and the nurses act like my mother. So comforting, so reassuring, so soft-spoken, and so sweet. Today I went again. my third time in 3 weeks. I blame the Cubs. It's always best to be honest with them. Since I was honest about my evening activities, they took extra care and caution with the hangover procedure. It was like basically being an emergency room for 150 bucks. Can't beat it. You get your fluids that your body is craving for, you get the oxygen that your body needs, and free wifi. Hahahahah. I feel better after the procedure but not cured. I'm 33 and I can't party like I once did. If go drinking Friday it effects my work week. I've been here twice. My first experience was incredible. The EMTs were exemplary, very genuine and knowledgeable. However, my experience today was terrible. Though, the front desk woman was welcoming. At first, the nurses in the back were nice. Then they became very robotic. They continuously tried to sell me additions to my IV. $20 here, $10 there.
