And in Lincoln Square you could ask if you have time to step out and get something to eat at any of the restaurants on the street right outside. I have spent many hiurs in emergency rooms and I know it's not fun. They can do x-rays here for chest problems and broken bones. They don't have CT or MRI machines. And they don't do sonograms which are used for infants. But most if not all Northwestern immediat care locations have x-ray machines. Immediate care is the same thing as an Urgent Care. It's tge middle tier between your regular doctor and an emergency room. This is a five minute walk from Western Briwn Line station which is pretty convenient.

I highly recommend this location; it is a wonderful place to get immediate primary care. It would…read morebe my first choice any time. The office is open, airy and spotlessly clean. The reception area is calm and welcoming and the people in reception are responsive and courteous. My doctor, James McCombs, was personable, friendly, and concerned. He listened to me carefully and examined me gently and with focus. He ordered appropriate tests , prescribed appropriate medication and referred me further to specialists. I am very happy with how my appointment was conducted and again, highly recommend this location.

Numerous emails to them remain unanswered. I'm currently (1/5/22) on hold "waiting for the next available agent" to see if I can reach them by phone. I'm not holding my breath. You should find another lab for COVID testing! Update: I was finally connected to an actual person, after being on hold for 45 minutes. I explained that I really didn't care about accessing their patient portal and to just cut to the chase and email me the PCR results directly. I actually rec'd an email from them tonight (1/6/22) with an attached and PW-protected PDF with the PCR test results! Color me surprised!

I've tried calling dozens of times and no one answers, tried emailing and haven't gotten a response. We did at home tests that were negative, but would like to know for sure. Annoyed that we wasted our time and that although it was a free test , they must be getting paid somehow. Also, the testing site was poorly run and very unprofessional. That should of been enough for us to turn around and leave, but at that time we couldn't find a place to get tested and our appointment elsewhere had gotten canceled because of the rain.

Honestly, avoid this place…read more This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a healthcare provider. I went in for blood and urine testing., I received my blood test results, the next day. Two days later, I called to ask about the urine test results. The employee looked up my file and said, "Everything is negative." When I asked her to email or text me the results, she suddenly noticed that only the blood results had actually come back. She gave me the clear impression that ALL of my test results were negative when she had only reviewed part of them. I easily could've taken her at her word, hung up and provided on her words of affirmation to the detriment of my health in somebody else's health! Sloppy and dangerous. The next day I called again because I still hadn't received the urine results. That's when I was told they had LOST my specimen and that I would have to come back and repeat the testing! I was like WTF, but the whole place seems so loosely run maybe I should not have been shocked. They promised to expedite the new test. I came back within an hour and gave them a new urine sample it was told I would have it later that night or early the next morning.. That promise was meaningless. I called later that day and again the following day. Still no results, just a lot of excuse, making and run around and no sense at all for Customer Service. I also requested that a supervisor call me. I was promised a return call within 30 minutes. It never happened. Then when signing onto my portal to check for results, all of a sudden I could no longer log into my patient portal to access my records Gee.. what a coincidence. This clinic lost my specimen, gave me misleading information about my results, failed to communicate, failed to return promised calls, and showed absolutely no accountability. That is unacceptable from any healthcare provider. I will be filing a complaint with the Illinois Department of Public Health because patients deserve better than this level of incompetence and disregard. Unfortunately, you can't trust Midwest Express Clinic if you care about your healthcare. Bad at the medicine part and bad at the Customer Service part
