There is nothing immediate about this place. They have one receptionist handling everything. You have to use your phone to connect to their WIFI to make your reservation while standing in front of receptionist - while you are sick and not feeling well. Bad experience! Instead of providing care the physician just called 911 and said I need to go to the hospital. Because I have a blood clot or pneumonia. No tests were performed to confirm either of these diagnoses. The physician further said "you do not have enough time and something could happen to you in transit to the hospital." The paramedics responding to the 911 call checked my vitals and saw NO reason to transport me to the emergency room as my vitals were not consistent with either pneumonia or a blood clot. Paramedics said this clinic has a history of panicking and calling 911 instead of providing care. End result was a 6 hour wait in the ER were I had neither a blood clot or pneumonia. The ER provided the steroids and nebulizer for my asthma that I requested in my initial physician immediate care visit. read more

I had scheduled an appointment for a covid test for 2:40 pm. I arrived to the location 15 mins earlier and texted the automated text message that I was here. At that point I received a reply text saying that someone will be in contact with me with further instructions. I waited 1 hour and no call no text back. I called them and they said that I never checked in which was a lie. I told them I received a confirmation text and they said that it must of not came through. They told me they would push me to the front of the line.....that was a lie! Another hour later I was still waiting to be called in. I called them again and they said I was next in that they where just cleaning a room for me. Again another lie. I am ill and the last thing I wanted was to wait 2 hours in my car! Hence why I made an appointment! I'm disgusted that they treat their patients that way. read more

My father needed to do a drug test for pre-employment. I came along with him since he has a disability of not being able to read or write. This is during COVID and they have "Attention" signs outside at their door with no clear instructions of what to do. I go inside and ask the lady that my father is here for a drug test and I'm here to help him with his paper work. She cuts me off and says that she doesn't need to see me that she needs to see my father and there's no paperwork since there's a drug test with an attitude. So I ignored it and just told my dad to go wait outside the door until she calls him. My dad goes inside and SURE ENOUGH he comes out with a clipboard of paperwork. Ok whatever. At this point I'm frustrated. My dad calls me and tells me the lady told me to move my car since they need the parking spot. I was parked on a regular parking spot which was not labeled "reserved parking" or "curbside care" unlike the others on my right. I'm waiting here in my car writing this review and 20 minutes has passed since I moved my car and nobody has occupied that parking spot. Absolutely rude! Do not recommend coming here. read more

I had a bad Sebaceous Cyst on the left shoulder that required extensive digging and draining. The staff took immediate care in both hunting down VA insurance coverage and the Dr. with procedure. I'd give them "zero" stars if I could. Apart from long wait times and awful customer service, my biggest issue is with their billing department. I received a bill for DOS April 2021 in July of 2022. More than a year later!! They sent the bill to the incorrect doctor's office and refused to send it directly to BCBS. I have made numerous phone calls to both the facility and BCBS over the past month. BCBS had to call the doctor's office where they had incorrectly sent the bill to to request a copy of the bill! However, the doctor's office sent an explanation of benefits rather than the claim which shows the diagnosis code. BCBS is now trying to get the original claim so they can process it. in the meantime, we are receiving daily texts to pay the bill in full. Due to Physician's Immediate Care's refusal to cooperate, they'll just have to wait on the money, sorry. The billing people at Physician's Immediate are the most rude people I've ever attempted to work with. NEVER going back to any of their facilities. This review is looking pretty epic! Made appointment. Received message to let office know I'd arrived. After doing so received message to wait in car until I received further instruction. Waited about 20 minutes and finally decided to walk in, whereupon I met the incredibly rude receptionist. Believe her name was Lauren. Waited inside until it was a full hour past my appointment time. In frustration told her I hadn't realized it would take such a long time and to just cancel my appointment. No I'm sorry, no telling me how much longer it would be. I've gone here for a physical that was required for a job, I much rather go to the one on Larkin ave. The girls here are all so rude and don't even greet you. They all seem annoyed and mad that you're there and do not hesitate go give attitude for no reason. You're getting paid, do your damn job and if you don't like your job then go somewhere else. I also called ahead one time to get a copy of my two step TB test, who ever I spoke to told me she'd leave the paperwork at the front desk for me to pick up. When I went, they all were rude telling me there was nothing left for me. I waited to get a copy and the vibe and attitude's of the SAME girls are uncalled for. I wouldn't go back at all. The Doctor is nice, but you guys needs to replace those girls at the front desk. read more

HORRIBLE!! Made an appointment which does NOT matter. Walk ins taken before appointments. Even people with appointments who arrive late are taken before people WITH appointments. Don't bother making an appointment. Even the staff says there is no reason to make an appointment. I scheduled an appointment and they still made my 85 YEAR OLD MOTHER WAIT AN HOUR AND A HALF!!! I use Physician's Immediate Care on Houbolt Rd in Joliet for my child's care and my own. From removing stitches, back pain, pink eye, physicals, to wellness, they have treated my family for several years now. The physician, Deborah Cyrkiel, pays attention to details with her patient assessment, and she is my preference when visiting. "Doctor Debbie" is the best, and I couldn't ask for anyone better to treat my child. read more

Got a call from physicians medical urgent care. Tried to tell me that me sinusitis didn't require antibiotics, and that if it turned to bronchitis it still didn't require medication. I asked if it turned to pneumonia would I need medicine ...she said maybe not, but go to the doctor to make sure. The short of it was, I went to Florida the next week where my infection was worse, spitting green phlegm and a swollen throat. They gave me and antibiotics and I was better after seeing a real doctor. So to recap paid for 2 office visits $$ saw a nurse introduced as a doctor no medicine got worse (of course) the saw a real doctor and was treated with antibiotics. What a fiasco for something I have been getting for 40 years. read more

Was sent here by my company after calling in sick to see if I was faking it or not. The nurse practitioner told me it looked like I had the flu but told me to go back to work anyway even though I was probably contagious but it doesn't matter because according to her I don't work in the food service or health care industry. She did some minor checks but no tests to see what I had. Later, the nurse practitioner told my company that I was not sick nor contagious which was very clearly a lie. I went to my own doctor who recommended a strep test and lo and behold I came back positive with strep and was given antibiotics and was told I was very contagious. Now, I'm not upset with the service here because the NP sent me back to work, I'm upset that the nurse practitioner LIED to my company while not even doing any tests on me to verify what was wrong with me. read more

I highly recommend this location! They took me in quickly when I came in sick from my work at lunch time. The doctor was patient, asked me questions, He diagnosed me correctly (which I've been misdiagnosed at other quick cares), not to mention giving me the correct antibiotics when you have medical allergies to some. Entire staff was nothing but pleasant and professional. I usually don't like quick cares due to bad experiences but this one won back my trust. Thank you! read more

I went to this place because they were ok and the company has it as a provider for physicals, but this is the second time they are thinking I am tryin to lie to them. They found my blood pressure was high so according to them I had to wait for it to lower, but they left me in the cold room for three hours they only checked 3 times and then they told me to go to my doctor to treat it. Fine, I accepted to go to my doctor after a month of treatment with my doctor and prescriptions, my doctor sent the paper work to them with my records, I though that was it; so they can approve me for my employer, now they say I need to go back so they can check the blood pressure again, I am disappointed, aggravated and mad because after all this time, the medicine, my doctor's treatment and appointments they still have to check the blood pressure. That tells me they don't trust my doctor and his knowledge. What is going to happen if my blood pressure is not at their satisfaction? Am I going to loose my job because of their negligence? I don't like them any more and if I show again to their clinic I am going to be that mad, that my blood pressure is going to be sky rocketing. They are not doing their Job. Also I call today asking for the paper work and they said it wasn't on my chart or file. read more

My wife and our two sons go here whenever we have something that used to be an emergency room visit or if we cant wait a week to get in to our primary physician. Waiting time is reasonable, and they have always provided our family good medical care. We are glad they are there. read more

took my son here because it was a sunday and wouldnt be able to see his regular doctor until tues.we should have waited i explained my son suffers from sinus infections etc quite often well they ran tests fro strep and the flu and then gave my son a steroid.i asked the nurse assistant please give us an antibiotic she would not well not after wasting a couple hundred dollars my son is worse and on his way to the doctor agian this really makes me mad i guess they think people are made of money and it really upsets me because my son is really now in bad shape.never again will i waste time or money here but if you do have lots of money and like wasting time by all means go there read more

Our family has used this location since the Black Road location closed. We go there, because it is in network fir our insurance and a $20 co-pay vs. $100 co-pay for an emergency room visit. But, it is so much better than the emergency room anyways! I love that they can do x-rays right there with immediate results. With a family of 4 there are always injuries and illnesses that pop up that need an immediate visit. We have always had great care here. I highly recommend them. read more

What a joke. Gave receptionist my I'd and credit card. Over the next 15 min. She left her desk at least 4 times with my card face up just behind counter. Guess they like helping people steal identities. When I demanded my stuff back the receptionist went into the back and someone else came up and told me to lower my voice, I upset her employee. My voice wasn't raised much if at all. I got no apology and when I tried to explain she asked me to leave....sorry not letting my card get stolen to get minor medical help. The fact that they have an option on-line to make an appointment is a joke. I arrived 20 minutes prior to my appointment time so I could fill out the paperwork. I wanted to be respectful of my appointment time. At one point I was the first person on the board with a wait time of 0-10 minutes then all of a sudden it changed and said my wait time was 8-18 minutes and there was a walk-in who came in after me and was got listed before me on the Board. He was called in and I still sat and waited. When it was 50 minutes after my appointment time and the board hadn't changed in over a half hour (still saying I had an 8-18) minute wait, I asked for my paperwork back and went to another clinic. I will not recommend this facility to others and will discourage employers I know who do drug screening to select another provider. read more

I took my children there because they were running fevers. The wait wasn't bad, however they told me that they accepted my insurance, which they didn't. Now they want me to pay them $700.00 all for 2 strep tests. If they hadn't lied to me I never would have went there. I know I'll never go again. read more
