Great beer selection, lots of local options. I just saw today that their happy hour goes until 7pm! That's awesome for me since I never get out of work on time :) It's conveniently located in the same building as Noble Pie so it always smells delicious. There is an incredible selection of beer here! Always very impressive! We had a great time here, there weren't any tables when we got there but we ordered our drinks and eventually someone left so we got theirs. Piñon is clean and has very helpful staff. I was trying to not get beer and there were several canned wine options that were good and affordable! The artwork for each beer on the chalkboard is super impressive! Stopped in to check out the beer selection and wow there was alot. I choose the fruity beer which was amazing. This is a great place to go and get different types of beer from IPA'S to Stouts and fruity beers. I am assuming it is dog friendly because we were sitting next to someone who had a dog. You could sit outside and enjoy the weather if you wanted. It was a Friday so pretty crowded but we found a spot to sit inside and the atmosphere was very friendly and great conversations going on. It's kind of different, so if you see a community table depending on the people and where they are sitting, you might be able to join a table, as I experience sitting at one, and then saw others join another today. One note, parking is not the easiest, since mid town only has so many spaces, and if it's busy, you might have to park a wee bit away. Very cool friendly dudes and dudettes running the shop...I love how often they laugh out loud!!!! They tell me Pinon has just hit its 1-year anniversary...congrats! And what a great outside deck! Parking is actually easy on this Saturday at 5pm, there's a lot at Virginia Street on the corner for the 3 businesses in the building. Wow what a selection! Came here with friends on a Wednesday night and had 3 different beers! With over 30 taps and several fridges of canned/bottled options you really can't go wrong. The staff was friendly and helpful and everything was priced reasonably. Not to mention you can bring your dogs! There is a $10 minimum for credit cards, but I didn't have trouble meeting that because there was so much I wanted to try! I'll definitely be back here. read more

Always my favorite go to beer spot in Reno. The selection of drinks on tap is always diverse and always delightful. Any time I've been curious about a drink the bartender will pull me a sample. Usually pair my drink with some fries or wings from Noble Pie next door which will kindly deliver over to me at the bar or table. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to go get a drink with some friends. Also, great place to grab a gift bottle for someone. I had read about this place on Yelp and wanted to try it out so last Saturday, we came here with some friends from Vegas. When we walked in, it seemed a bit slow, but there were two bartenders and a few people at the bar. Everything was clean and neat. They have a chalkboard that tells you what they have on tap along with ABV. If you want something else, you can pick anything out of their fridge/wall of beers. We sat outside on the benches they are shared with Noble Pie, which awesome too. Overall, very cool place and we will definitely be back! read more

Places like this are one of the reasons I love Reno. You take this place and put it in the bay area and it's overly crowded, can't go during certain hours, or just a hassle. In Reno you get a great beer selection, friendly staff, able to chat with them, ask for suggestions, and not feel crowded. I stumbled upon this place my last trip up there. I was looking up another bar in Reno and saw this pop up. A huge on tap list and lots of cans/bottles to browse through. I just kind of like being able to shop, pick up a can/bottle, read the label, before picking my beer sometimes. Also the option to buy to take home if I find something I really like. The bartender at the time was really friendly and knowledgable. There's a pizza place next door if your hungry and coffee across the street for after. This is hands down one of my favorite places to grab a beer when it's warm out. Their outdoor seating is plentiful and their open layout makes it feel spacious and cozy all at once. They have an endless selection of beers to choose from on their chalk board. In case you are wondering, they do not brew their own suds, but have quite a large selection on tap and even more in the massive beer fridge. Friendly staff and pretty centrally located in Midtown. Parking is not the best. You can bring in food and there are plenty of options close by to chose from. Staff is hip and friendly, lots of space indoors and out. Dog friendly as well. Since they are not a brewery, I can't review their beers and even if I could, I am not the best guy to be reviewing beers anyway, but I am stoked that they have Hamm's on tap. Since I am stoked about the Hamm's, you can probably guess why I am not the go-to guy for beer reviews. But since they don't have their own, I don't have to! The downside is that, without their own suds, they are basically just another corner bar, but as far as corner bars go, this is a lot nicer than your Grandpa's corner bar. Because of their location, I am thinking they will thrive as long as Midtown does not go belly up. They are in the middle of all the action and as a result, it would be hard not to stop in here if you are in the neighborhood, even if you did not intend to. Nice beer selection, and usually good service. I was in on a holiday earlier this year and the bartender took my order, poured my beer, and set it down. He served 2 more people near the other end of the bar and finally came back to me and took my order again. He said "that's funny, someone else ordered the same beer a few minutes ago but they disappeared! This one has been sitting for a minute but I'll top it off and you can have it for free." Thanks to Paul and UYE Beer event introducing us to another great venue in town, well, Midtown to be exact. Perfect place to grab a drink after work, too. Okay, they didn't have 40 beers on tap the evening we were there with a group of Yelpsters, only 36 - 1 = 35 beers (one spot on the board was empty, Paul corrected me :) ), quite a challenge for me to choose between them... I asked our bartender if they offer flight tasting and the answer is Yes ~ 4 beers, 4 oz each, $10, my fiancé and I went for it, it was a great way to try 4 different beers that night, plus my fiancé's, so we actually tried 8 different beers, most of them were good and will order them again. One beer stood out, Curry beer....hmmmm.... very interesting ! Flight tasting was not indicated on the board, I am glad I asked about it... Since there are so many on the board, we vow to go back again, shortly ! read more
