Six of us came in for Saturday brunch for our book club get together. The website doesn't indicate but when my friend called to let them know we'd need a table for six, they let us make a reservation. The menu was larger than what I'd seen online which was nice. Half our table went with the three item lunch special. I'm so terrible with names but our male server on this visit was excellent. He stopped by periodically to refill drinks and see if we need med anything, let us know of specials, desserts, etc. I ordered the lunch special with half turkey avocado sandwich, clam chowder and Caesar salad. The salad was good, but needed a pinch of salt, and chowder was at a disappointing room temp and also needed salt. I just recall the location at Palm and Herndon being much better tasting. Oh well. Service made up for everything. Fortunately they weren't busy at this time and date and we were able to longer for at least 90 minutes. I wish I would have had room for dessert! read more

We could tell she was bouncing between the patio and indoor tables, and yet she was consistently attentive and polite the entire time. We stopped by Friday for lunch, and the food was lackluster but fine overall; unfortunately, everyone in my party got sick after eating here. Once a month I have lunch with several retired CSUF women faculty. Most of us have worked together for 20 years or more. It's a lot of fun catching up with each other. This month we had lunch at Piazza Del Pane in Fresno/Clovis. We all ordered something different. I ordered the salmon salad ($24.00i). It was delicious! They have a great lunch special ($13.00) where you can choose three items. I bought some lunch for my husband too. I chose the chicken cranberry sandwich, a Caesar salad and a delicious pumpkin soup. My husband loved it. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. I want to come back soon. In the past we typically went there for pizza. I didn't try the gelato but my colleagues thought it was delicious too. My problem was I don't like chocolate. Vanilla and fruit is my favorite. I loved their menu. Lots of good choices. read more

I have never been to brunch here, but I was so excited to attend with my friend for the first time. We had a reservation for 9:00am, and even though it was "early" for a Sunday, we were the first ones here and my introverted self wouldn't have had it any other way. We were the first ones to help ourselves to this brunch buffet and on our second/dessert round there were still only a handful of tables that had arrived. By the time we were done eating, There were lines to get through to the food, and I know I would not have appreciated standing in them. Definitely recommend that you all get here early for brunch and ask for a booth if you can!! The food was so amazing, and my mouth is literally watering thinking about the french toast! I ate way too many pieces and I would go back JUST for this french toast. There are other breakfast foods like pancakes, bacon, sausage, fruit, and an omelet station. There are lunch foods too, a couple different pastas, tater tots, salmon, and a taco bar/station. I tried a couple different pastas but I mostly wanted the breakfast part. There was also a fruit/dessert table that looked divine!! I wish I would have tried more of these, but like I mentioned I ate too many pieces of the french toast and left little room for dessert. The waiter kept checking on us for coffee, water and bottomless mimosa refills. We were here for about 2 hours, and even though the place was full by 11am, no one was rushing us out or anything, but we decided not to take up any more space. I think they do a great job of managing their space. I recommend you try out the brunch here at least once, and I recommend the first time you come early at 9am when they open! :) read more

After she took our order she had a long conversation with the table next to us so we had no drinks until she finished. She said she would be right back with sweetener for my tea but took awhile. Food arrived timely and she asked if we wanted parm and chili flakes and we said yes so she said she'd be right back. We were half finished with the pizza before she came back. We decided to share the surf and turf appetizer. This was not my favorite appetizer that I've had with them. I would suggest to try something else. Our drinks were amazing! The blood orange margaritas are excellent. With my dessert I wanted a coffee drink. Tried their Sunday Brunch with bottomless mimosas. The brunch is buffet style. The set up isn't exactly user friendly as there needs to be a bigger space without bumping into folks. The food was ok. Basics breakfast, tacos, pasta dessert. The seating area was nice, they also have an outside area. The service was just ok. I didn't like that the hostess was observed moving the food with her hands instead of using utensils for one of the food tables. To top it off, our waiter tried to overcharge gratuity where each of us would be paying an additional $49. Insane. It was more than the actual brunch. When asked, he stated there is a sign at the entrance that mentions this. We requested to speak to the manager and she stated it was not correct and they have been having trouble with their computers. The waiter suddenly realized the amount was incorrect. So long story short, you will be paying an automatic gratuity charge for any table over 2. Make sure you check your checks. I don't ever mind tipping but the fact that this waiter tried to get over on our table, didn't sit well with me. Definitely won't be back. Pane has 50% off bottles of wine on Wednesdays. However, the regular prices on wine bottles seem very high so 50% off almost seems like a normal price. Ordered the burger with sweet potato fries and the margarita pizza. The sweet potato fries were delicious, lightly breaded, and come with a pesto aioli. The margarite pizza was OK but nothing special. For dessert, we ordered the oreo gelato. The gelato seemed very icy. We just hosted my daughter's bridal shower here this weekend, and can't say enough great things about the experience. First of all, we wanted a light, bright, and airy atmosphere, which is hard to find in a restaurant, other than on a patio, but knowing April can be dramatic in the weather department, we wanted some cover. Thank goodness we chose Piazza del Pane because their covered patio gives the feel of open air, while being totally protected, and boy, did we need that protection! A huge storm rolled in, midway through the party, blowing the canvas walls like sails on a ship and the temperature suddenly dropped about 20 degrees, but the staff was ready to happily turn on space heaters, and the party went on. Not a drop of rain touched us. Our server, Vanessa, was attentive, professional, kind, somehow lightning fast without appearing rushed, and kept us on timeline without ever seeming pushy. We appreciated her very much. We also all loved the food, artfully prepared and presented, and the champagne was delicious. I ordered a BBQ chicken pizza and my company ordered a mushroom and artichoke pizza. I did not expect them to be so huge! The crust was whatever but it was very tasty! Our waitress did get our first pizza order wrong but she immediately replaced it and put down the cheapest pizza on the tab, which we really appreciated. She probably was the only one working as a waitress during the time. I can see this being a good place to grab lunch, not so much for dinner. We went for the brunch buffet for my niece's birthday... brunch is for the girls! The food is mediocre. There is somewhat some variety. Like a couple of salads, pizza lunch items, the brunch bar with scrambled eggs, tater tots, etc. There is also an omelette station and taco station where staff serve you. There were waffles, they were soggy, lol. The risotto was overcooked and smushy. The pastas were okay. The dessert spread was beautiful. The churros were bad. Super hard and not edible. I brought a birthday cheesecake without knowing they had such an elaborate dessert selection. They charge you to hold and refrigerate the cheesecake. I think $10. Ofc I had to pay, wasn't going to let it melt in the car. Service was okay. Our server was ok. There was a flying moth around our table and we asked an employee to remove it from our area. I haven't tried the food here yet, but I saw a post about their drive-thru lattes and thought I'd give it a shot--it's an Italian spot, so I figured the coffee might be great! Unfortunately, the latte didn't quite hit the mark for me. At nearly $7 for a 12oz (largest size) I expected more, but it tasted more like something I'd make at home with a basic setup. As someone who loves coffee and enjoys making lattes, this one didn't stand out. We both had a cup of minestrone soup which was full of fresh ingredients and came piping hot. Hubby had flat iron steak risotto and I had the short rib fettuccine. Surf & Turf: The meat tasted nearly spoiled. The flavors were lacking; it's like they gave you a plain template so you could make it yourself. The only good thing about it were the buns.
