We joined a couple from Church for dinner at Andiamo's a few weeks ago on a Friday evening & it was outstanding! There was a couple playing guitar and singing a low mello type of music that was comfortable as we walked throughthe door. The food was delicious & service from Laniah our waitress was very timely. The Manager was so kind enough to take us from a table to a comfortable booth as we are older & needed softer seating. The Lasagna was delicious with plenty of cheese & sauce! Yummy for sure! First time dining at Andiamo's, and we had a great experience. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the food came out surprisingly fast. The waiter was super attentive and efficient the entire evening. We went for dinner, so the restaurant was definitely dimly lit, which I think is the atmosphere they're going for. It was a little dark for our taste at first, but we were able to open the blinds. If you enjoy cozy, dim dinner ambiance, this is definitely your kind of place. The menu uses Italian names for many of the dishes, so I wasn't immediately sure what everything was, but once we figured it out, everything we ordered was delicious. The angel hair pasta was simple but absolutely perfect. We also had cheesecake for dessert, and it was fantastic. I also appreciated that they had a kid's menu, plus mini pizza options for kids. My five-year-old only made it through a couple slices because the portions were generous. Definitely come hungry, and don't be surprised if you leave with a doggy bag because the portions are big. The pizza is probably the best thing they offer. I was at a friends house recently and they ordered pizza from Andiamo. They ordered two pies, one pepperoni and another called the Andiamo Special. The Andiamo Special is salami, sausage, pepperoni, meatball, mushroom, olives, bell peppers, and onions. It seems like almost too many topping, but the flavor is one point. After my first bite, I needed to double check the box to make sure it was truly from Andiamo's. My past food experiences have not been the best. The flavor combo on this pizza, great. The dough, not so great. The dough was a little undercooked near the center of the pie, but the crust was actually very good. Salty and chewy, just how it should be. No delivery offered here, but if you're looking for a new local pizza spot to try, Andiamo's is worth the money. read more

The food and the service were amazing! As soon as you walk in you can smell the cheese. We ordered the rigatoni scarpata, calzone, and the melenzane parmigiana added the salad and minestrone; all were delicious and the portions were so big! For dessert we had the limoncello mascarpone which was sweet and rich. So glad we stopped, we were so hungry I forgot to take pictures. read more

If there's any food experience that I'm lacking, it would be Italian. Although I've have been to a lot of Italian themed restaurants in past years, it has been at least a year that I've been to one. My teen wanted to serve an Alfredo based pasta dish for her upcoming birthday so I basically had to start from scratch. My research led me to Andiamo. Food/Offering: To sample the menu, my wife and I tried and shared two dishes: Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and the Combination (Spaghetti, Lasagna and Ravioli). We were provided complimentary bread and butter while we waited. The fettuccine, which was what we were there for, had the flavor and taste that we were looking for. The dish had the right amount of alfredo sauce where it wasn't lacking or was too much. The Combo was equally good as well. 5 of 5 stars Service: Our server was very attentive with the right amount of follow up to see if there was anything that we needed. Our waters were always filled. The manager that took our order was also nice and very helpful. FYI: Not all items on their restaurant menu are eligible for catering. Luckily, it just so happen that the alfredo was part of it; we ordered the largest tray. 5 of 5 stars. Overall: The place is dated but clean. Our dine in experience was very good and staff were friendly, not just to us, but I've observed good service at other tables as well. Tasty or WasteY???? Quite Tasty!!! We were looking for a new place to eat in Fresno. We thought how about Italian. We ended up at this place. Although the restaurant looks very old and rustic like it's been there forever to our surprise. The food was quite good. I ordered a personal pizza with pepperoni, green peppers and jalapeño. The bruschetta was the best I've ever had. And the price was great. We drove all the way from Turlock and I'm glad we took the drive. I would highly recommend. Our server was excellent. I wanted to love this restaurant, or at the very least like it. I grew up on the most authentic Sicilian food imaginable. My Grandparents were from Sicily , and they could both cook in their day. I didn't have high hopes for Andiamo's as I am usually disappointed when I go out for Italian food. When you walk in , it reminds me of a steakhouse from the 90's. The decor and dimly lit dining room created a nice date night setting - but made it hard to read the menu when you are a blind old guy - like me. The menu offers standard fare like pasta , meatballs , and lasagna-to more current dinner specials. My wife opted for the combo meal that came with pasta, meatballs , raviolis , and lasagna. We could tell that these standard dishes were not made fresh as the food arrived in 5 minutes. In fact, I wasn't even done with my minestrone before our meal showed up. The meatballs and lasagna were pre made and tasted like they were microwaved. There was so much sauce added that everything tasted the same. I wouldn't recommend this entree. The meatballs were bland , the lasagna was basic and the sauce was just OK. I chose an entree off the dinner specials because I thought it would be fresh. I chose the orecchiette with sausage , broccolini in a garlic aoli sauce. I enjoyed this dish as the pasta shape made for a nice pool for the sauce. Our server Savannah was pretty attentive and nice. Bottom line, this place is meh , and nothing too exciting. I don't think I would come back as there has to be better Italian food in the area. 5 star service 2 star food 3 star ambiance and pricing. = a 3 star overall rating from me. read more

First time here and came with two girlfriends after a movie showing across the street. We were sat very quickly and service was great. The young waiter was friendly and shared some recommendations. Inside is nice and spacious with table and booth seating. I was very impressed with their complimentary olive tapenade spread at the table. Bread came quick and we devoured it. Came here on a Saturday for dinner. We arrived a little before 5 and were seated at a table 25 mins after. There are booth seats right on the sides of the door, which was a little annoying with the door constantly opening and wind gusting in. There are reg height dinner tables and if you don't want to wait you can opt to sit on the bar height tables. They have an early bird menu, in which it mentions "must be seated by 6 PM". We placed or first appetizer and drink order at 5:35 and gotten them by 5:45. By 6:03PM we gotten our entrees. You may ask why I'm proving time stamps, it's because when we gotten the bill, it did not reflect the early bird price (not that I really cared if we had to pay full price - which I ended up doing). Upon asking our waiter to verify the receipt, he mentioned that it's NOT applicable if it's "seated before 6PM" and it's only valid if you order before 6PM. After paying, we left and started looking at all our pictures that we taken on our phone (to of course leave a yelp review) we saw that we clearing placed ALL our food and drinks BEFORE 6. The waiter gaslight us into believing we didn't and did not make the correction. Please do better and be consistent. Even if the price reflects when you place your order, update your menu or make it clear prior to taking the order. Nonetheless in my case, you guys were wrong! We are not fans of ricotta cheese and the lasagna was filled with it and hardly any meet. Nothing special about it. The penne and calamari was the only plate that was decent however the chicken was flavorless, bland. read more

I can't believe I have never been here.... It is similar to Diciccos but that's because it's a family thing :) there's enough differences to really have me wanting to come back. I got the 3 in 1 plate and it was amazing. Favorite was the raviolis. I actually think the clam chowder was one of the best around. The service was great and the owner came around often for table services. Always great to see owners and staff work together. We went in about 5 and at 6 the place was absolutely packed. Very yummy! Came here the weekend before Christmas with a party of eight and was well accommodated. They were super busy, as expected for the weekend before Christmas. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. When we arrived, we were seated at a cozy booth that was a bit of a tight fit for our group. The waiter reassured us that he would bring over an extra table as soon as one became available. True to his word, after a short while, he promptly added an adjacent table to make sure we were more comfortable. The effort to accommodate us despite the holiday rush was much appreciated! The interior was super cozy and beautifully decorated for the holidays--almost like being home for the holiday season. THE FOOD: Rigatoni Scarpata (5/5): It was delicious! We were very disappointed with the quality of the food and the horrible service by server, Leslie, in which only 9 people were served with a selection of only spaghetti (without any meatballs) and a salad with only being offered vinegar and oil or a chicken salad (with only being offered and limited to vinegar and oil as the dressings). The server, Leslie, stubbornly refused to bring ranch dressing or any other salad dressing when asked. When asking the server, Leslie, for something, she always carries a "chip on her shoulder" and negatively responds, "I have to do this or that first....." and responds much later to all requests. She needs to learn to make it a priority to take care of requests immediately, since she had plenty of assistance from the other servers in the dining room. If she can't handle only 9 guests, then perhaps she needs to change professions! We were told by the presenter that the spaghetti would include meatballs, but when the server delivered the food, she only delivered spaghetti. WHAT A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT AND SHORTCOMING! When we asked several servers for additional bread, it took over 17 minutes before the server finally brought us bread and butter. However, there were 5 different servers who entered the room at different times to deliver the food to only 9 people. When we asked a server to bring us bread, she arrogantly responded that she would relay this message to the server assigned to the room. This happened about 17 minutes later. If this server knew what good customer service was all about, she would have brought us bread right away without having to shift the task to another server. This restaurant needs to learn what CUSTOMER SERVICE is all about: ****PLEASING THE GUESTS and not placing so many restrictions and excuses to the guests! read more

THE RIGATONI SCARPATA!!! Divine. Every bite just gets better. I've only been to the restaurant twice, and the first time was a 5-star experience with very attentive and kind service. The second time, the service put a bit of a damper on the evening (very late to the table, apathetic attitude, no water refills, etc.) but to the server's credit, we were seated in the bar area. I definitely plan to go back to get the rigatoni scarpata again, and will update my review if the service meets the level of my first visit. Give this place a shot, especially that specific pasta. This is my new favorite restaurant! When you walk in the ambience is inviting and the staff is friendly. So many wonderful things to choose from on their menu. The chicken tortilla soup was the best I've ever had and the lasagna was better than any other top Italian restaurant I've gone to in the Fresno/Clovis area. The bread is fresh and hard to resist. The cannelloni, even though it was on the extremely hot side, was by far the best I've ever had anywhere else. One of the Clovis gems! I absolutely love the pasta here! Delicious sauce with every option that tastes real and homemade. I'm never able to choose favorite, but the ravioli are fantastic. The restaurant definitely got busy when we left. Our server was nice but a bit standoff with us. I did wish she would have been a bit more attentive (check in on us and refill our drinks throughout dinner). We did get our drinks, bread and appetizer pretty quick. I was irritated since we printed invitations for that party. I asked for my $100 deposit returned and they refused. Three of us stopped by for dinner on a recent Sunday evening. It was good, got a thumbs up on the gnocchi with pesto and the tagliatelle with lemon and shrimp. We held a baby shower in their banquet room this past weekend and it was such a great experience. Great service, great vibes, great food, and to top it all off, a live accordion player on a Friday afternoon who was playing the best songs! I can't believe I waited so long to try this spot but really enjoyed the whole experience. I came on a Friday around 5pm and the restaurant was quite full so I would recommend a reservation for larger groups. Andiamo is, hands down, our favorite Italian restaurant. It's family owned and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The bar has enough seating that you can sit in there and have dinner or just hang out with friends. They have fun specialty cocktails along with the tried and true drinks, that are easily among the best in town. Their wine list is impressive as well. The food is the star of the show and never disappoints. The homemade bread is served with an olive tepanade, olive oil, balsamic and fresh parmesan. I recommend their blue cheese balsamic dressing on the house salad. My personal favorite dish is their canneloni and my husband loves their cioppino and the linguine tutto de mare. They brought out some nice fresh bread with butter and also a garlic type paste which was very tasty with the bread. I ended up ordering the Lasagna Alforno. The plate came out and I was ready! The cheese was perfectly melted and the Lasagna was awesome.. what else can I say. I left full and happy. I will be back to try the rest of the menu that's for sure!
