The Stone Fruit Burrata was such a beautiful combination of sweet peaches, creamy burrata, prosciutto, and fresh herbs. Definitely one of my favorites of the night. The Sweet Corn Agnolotti was rich, buttery, and had that perfect fresh summer corn sweetness. And the Skirt Steak with fries was cooked beautifully, tender and full of flavor, with crispy parmesan-covered fries that we could not stop eating. Every ingredient had a purpose. After one bite, we completely understood why Sammie recommended it. The hanger steak was cooked perfectly. Great crust, tender inside, packed with flavor... and somehow the potatoes nearly stole the show. I know, they're potatoes. But whatever magic happened in that kitchen deserves some recognition because they were ridiculously crispy, perfectly seasoned, and impossible to stop eating. The burrata with stone fruit was another standout. Creamy burrata, sweet fruit, salty prosciutto, fresh mint, and toasted bread all came together into one of those bites that makes everyone at the table suddenly stop talking for a second. And then there was the mixed mushroom pizza. Some of the best mushrooms I've had outside of a music festival... kidding. Mostly. Seriously though, the mushrooms were incredible, and the pizza had that perfect balance of earthy, cheesy, crispy, and chewy that keeps you reaching for "just one more slice" until the plate is mysteriously empty. By the end of dinner we were completely full... and I was still looking at the menu trying to justify ordering something else. That's usually the biggest compliment I can give a restaurant. The food here is definitely high quality, and you can really tell they put thought into everything. It's the sister restaurant to Annesso Pizzeria, so they also serve pizza, and it is SO good. I highly recommend the pepperoni jalapeño with a honey drizzle, such a perfect sweet and spicy combo. The parm fries are honestly the best I've had, and I also tried a chicken entrée that was cooked perfectly and super flavorful. Service is great, especially considering it's a smaller restaurant, the servers are really attentive and make the experience feel more personal. The bar area is also really nice and they serve good, strong drinks. They have a great wine list as well! Arrived around 6:30 p.m. on a Wednesday, and we were told it was a 1.5 hour wait. Right before we were about to leave, the front staff offered to sit us at a table reserved for 8:00 p.m. if we were able to finish dinner before that reserved slot. We definitely took the table! It wasn't. The Service: Unprofessional & Tacky Beyond Belief The red flags started the second we sat down. An Italian restaurant that doesn't put bread on the table automatically? Unbelievable. You actually have to ask for bread. Bread is the soul of an Italian table. Then came the absolute kick in the teeth. A fly landed right on the rim of my wine glass. Now, in any serious establishment, the waiter apologizes, takes the glass away, and opens a fresh glass of wine. What did this waiter do? He walked over with a clean glass, picked up the contaminated wine, and poured the exact same wine into the new glass right in front of me. Are you taking the piss? Transferring fly-soaked wine into a clean glass doesn't make it fresh! It's tacky, cheap, and utterly repulsive for a place charging these prices. Look, I'll give credit where it's due: the pasta itself is freshly made, and the quality of the dough is genuinely good. It has great texture and proper bite. But that's where the compliments end. The portion sizes are an absolute joke. I'm not asking for a mountain of food, but I shouldn't need a trip to a pizza shop on the drive home after paying top dollar. The Seasonal Special (Corn Agnolotti): They recommended a seasonal pasta dish--tiny corn-stuffed ravioli. Visually? Pretty. Tasting it? A total disaster. All it tasted of was sweet corn. That's it. The quality of the food is good and the flavors are definitely unique. I love the dark rustic look that this place has to offer. It does feel small and it will get loud which makes the environment kind of stuffy at times. I wouldn't say that this is the best, but more of a been there done that. There is signage in the parking lot tho and parking can be hard to find. Ambience is dark but noisy so if you're on a date, it'll be hard to hear. Service was very attentive.
