First, let's talk about Sammie. If every restaurant had a Sammie, Yelp would probably have fewer 3-star reviews. She welcomed us like we were regulars, knew the menu inside and out, and steered us toward the Tagliatelle with the confidence of someone who knew we'd be thanking her later. She wasn't pushy, rehearsed, or robotic, just genuinely excited about the food. Those kinds of servers are rare. Honestly, Sammie is the fifth star on this review. Now the food. The Tagliatelle absolutely lived up to the hype. Rich without being heavy, flavorful without trying too hard, and balanced in a way that's surprisingly hard to pull off. Every ingredient had a purpose. After one bite, we completely understood why Sammie recommended it. The hanger steak was cooked perfectly. Great crust, tender inside, packed with flavor... and somehow the potatoes nearly stole the show. I know, they're potatoes. But whatever magic happened in that kitchen deserves some recognition because they were ridiculously crispy, perfectly seasoned, and impossible to stop eating. The burrata with stone fruit was another standout. Creamy burrata, sweet fruit, salty prosciutto, fresh mint, and toasted bread all came together into one of those bites that makes everyone at the table suddenly stop talking for a second. And then there was the mixed mushroom pizza. Some of the best mushrooms I've had outside of a music festival... kidding. Mostly. Seriously though, the mushrooms were incredible, and the pizza had that perfect balance of earthy, cheesy, crispy, and chewy that keeps you reaching for "just one more slice" until the plate is mysteriously empty. Now, in any serious establishment, the waiter apologizes, takes the glass away, and opens a fresh glass of wine. What did this waiter do? He walked over with a clean glass, picked up the contaminated wine, and poured the exact same wine into the new glass right in front of me. Are you taking the piss? Transferring fly-soaked wine into a clean glass doesn't make it fresh! It's tacky, cheap, and utterly repulsive for a place charging these prices. The food here is definitely high quality, and you can really tell they put thought into everything. It's the sister restaurant to Annesso Pizzeria, so they also serve pizza, and it is SO good. I highly recommend the pepperoni jalapeño with a honey drizzle, such a perfect sweet and spicy combo. The parm fries are honestly the best I've had, and I also tried a chicken entrée that was cooked perfectly and super flavorful. Service is great, especially considering it's a smaller restaurant, the servers are really attentive and make the experience feel more personal. Right before we were about to leave, the front staff offered to sit us at a table reserved for 8:00 p.m. if we were able to finish dinner before that reserved slot. We definitely took the table! There is signage in the parking lot tho and parking can be hard to find. Ambience is dark but noisy so if you're on a date, it'll be hard to hear. Service was very attentive.
