Couple of things: I can't understand why some meatheads criticize this place due to "excessive noise". If you know anything about being Italian, it's ALL about the noise! The food is good, not amazing as many reviews say but I'm a New Yorker so I'm possibly biased. The seating can be a little bit tight in season. Staff is unbelievably amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and I am told by locals that the pizza used to be really really great and now it's "good" in my opinion. There is one thing in which they are making I think a huge mistake. And I tell you this with love and I mean, I'm telling the staff and particularly the beautiful and talented Owner. The constant interruption of clapping and yelling of happy birthday is very TGIF. It does not suit your cozy, inviting charming atmosphere. It appears that everyone goes to have this done to them because the last time I was there, and I've just moved to town recently, it happened four times in one night the guess I was entertaining eventually started, rolling their eyes and covering their ears There must be a better way to celebrate each birthday that feels special to that person without screaming and yelling and interrupting this tiny room of people who are dining with you each night. It's worth problem-solving and coming up with a better solution. That charming Italian later could simply come up to the table and softly speak Italian to the table and several sentences and deliver your dessert with a candle in it, and everyone will be charmed. It's unique, he can speak Italian, he's handsome... And that would be incredibly memorable. ‍ Keep up the great work and please consider doing a simple reversion of your artichoke hearts. Less is more. Italian food is my most favorite favorite food. I lived in Italy and I've lived in New York and I think you can deliver an even better quality of food by fine-tuning your main recipes. For a group of two, we got one pizza (prosciutto and arugula) and two pastas (the pesto and the rigatoni vodka). The pizza was great and the crust was delicious. The Rigatoni vodka was absolutely perfect in every way! The pesto pasta was missing something and was a bit disappointing. Overall solid food and service, I'd come back for the pizza and rigatoni! The risotto was so soft and creamy! The pizza had a very thin, delicious crust and the toppings were great, I loved the little zap of salt the olive gave. The waiter was friendly and charming. We have had Piazzi on our list of places to try for many months and finally following a photo shoot in the area we finally crossed their threshold for our first dinning experience and Jenn ensured it was a 5 star raving review. Upon our arrival we were shown to a option of tables as it was just 4pm. While reviewing the menu we asked for water to start and once Jenn came over to meet and greet we discussed food options across the menu as we were sort of all over the place with ideas. Once speaking with Jenn we landed on what turned out to be an exceptional food experience starting with the zuppa di cozza, the mussels were terrific and their sauce had nice flavor with a kick. We took home the left over sauce as it was that good and it will get used this week. Next we shared the Capricciosa pizza, note, I'm not a huge pizza eater any more, has to be specialty, and something really workth while and this checked that box for me. So fresh, so flavorful.... took 2 slices home as we had one more dish coming... we shared their papppardelle. What blew us away was the finely shopped ingredients, hence nearly every forkful had a delicate mix of meat and vegatables. The pasta was on the al dante side which I like but my wife prefers more cooked, not droopy, not soggy. Regardless she loved the dish. See our dish photos. We'll be back. read more

We went right as they opened with no reservation and were the only ones seated. We were given a very small table and I laughed inside when the waitress was bringing food and looks at me as to say where do you want me to put all this food? There were a couple other encounters the waitress was not the sharpest, but the food more than made up for it. The Chicken Milanese was exceptional as well as the Bella Italia Pizza. We look forward to visiting again and working our way through the menu. I will make a reservation moving forward, even if it is a time that doesn't need one. read more

My selection was fine, a slightly al dente & acceptable. Our very pleasant server came by after a time noticing my wife had barely touched her dish. He asked if there was something wrong & she said it was too al dente for her. (I tried it & agreed). He apologized profusely and said no problem, it won't take long, he would have a new one made. She thanked him saying she appreciated that & it was nice of him. When he returned noticeably later (I had finished my meal) we wondered if it was someone else's dish, most of the pasta noodles were split, the sauce had thickened. It didn't resemble the dish first served. The noodles and sauce had that look of leftovers. We figured it must have been microwaved and stirred haphazardly. The waiter had stealthily dropped it off and didn't return until we had asked for the check. In his defense I think he tried to be accommodating, the kitchen is responsible for what comes out of it & obviously didn't care about our experience. It specifically says al dente on the menu, but if a paying customer sends it back their preference should be accommodated. A young lady wrapped it up to go for us. The waiter shook my wife's hand as if to acknowledge we would not be returning. We won't, and the box with leftovers, it landed in the convenient rubbish bins down the street near where we parked. On the plus side all the front of the house staff were warm and welcoming. read more

We had a wonderful dinner! Started with fennel salad and meatball appetizer. Husband had pepperoni pizza and I had the papparadelle with short ribs excellent! We had wine from a local vineyard Beneduce a bottle of red called shotgun. Very good and ended with a lemon sorbet. Every thing was delicious. Highly recommend. When it's the only game in town, you gotta play. Well, we didn't really have to but we did. Started off good because they fit us in without a reservation on a Saturday at peak dinner service. Like another Yelper said, they pack so many tables in there that I'm hitting people's backs with my size 18 butt & knocking over people's little lampshades with my gut. The tables were so close together you could hear who was on a first date and what that husband & wife were arguing about. Anyway, because there's so many tables the small space gets loud. Irrationally loud. Our waiter comes & tells us they use flour imported from Italy and their pasta is made on premises. Sounds impressive right? We weren't impressed. My Pane was not a dipping-in-evoo type bread. It was hard & crispy. Crisp pizza crust is what it was. My meatballs were mid. Definitely not Razza's. My friend enjoyed her Margherita pie. But my other friend who got the rigatoni left hungry. That $22 portion was skimpy. Overall, just not a good experience and the food didn't make brownie points for it. We decided to cut our meal short because we could not enjoy our food, hear one another talk and were constantly yelling. Here is a case where a restaurant may have the right food, chef, menu and cute location but it completely misses the mark because of the ambience. Ordered takeout from Piazzi after hearing a lot of great things by word of mouth. The margherita pizza was bland and the sauce didn't have much flavor. Chicken milanese was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Pappardelle bolognese was good but felt that it could benefit from more sauce. Pesto and vodka sauces were good. Sauce on the ravioli was the best out of them all. Pasta had a nice bite to it and cooked well. Overall, we thought it was too pricey with the relatively small portion sizes. We were also suprised that they didn't provide bread with our order. read more

Omg amazing!! Wow Piazzi has left me speechless. I have been waiting for a good homemade italian restaurant around here and this is it. We had no problem finishing every single dish. The portions are good size and prices are a steal for the quality of the food. The service was amazing. All the staff were kind and so sweet. They gave great recommendations to what to get. We can't wait to go back! The ambiance was amazing, it felt like you were at your nona's house. It's such a small little place where it feels like you are part of the family. I came in with my parents, we were delighted they were open on a Monday! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable! The place is way over crowded and busy...... Just like the Cafe next door (Same owner) I did place a pizza take out order just to see how the food was and it was mediocre at best. The place is tacky looking on the exterior and doesn't blend into the local area, it belongs in a strip mall or pad site. TIP! Go across the street to Daniels or Napoli pizza for a good dinner without rubbing arms and legs in a "cozy" overcrowded over priced pizzeria. This place was hit and destroyed by an out of control truck years ago and hopefully history doesn't repeat itself while over occupied. read more

This is a perfect place to go if you're looking for great food. For appetizers we got the Pane and Traditional Meatballs, both were great and not too heavy. For our entrees the portions were perfect and the dishes were amazing. For dessert we got the Tiramisu which was a delicious way to finish our meal. Second time for this spot. Walked away disappointed. Had a reservation for 4:30. The RESY app for reservations did not work so we called for a reservation. We got there about 10 min early, the restaurant was empty. We were seated basically in the kitchen. My wife sat in the hallway between the kitchen and the main dining area. It was hot, uncomfortable and the table was small. We were finished by 5:20. The restaurant was still very empty at 5:20. Not sure why we needed to sit in front of the pizza oven. The portions were small and expensive. The food was good but, there are plenty of other places you can go for less money, better quality and better surroundings. read more

Excited to try a new restaurant after waiting so long for it to open. Every table full. Very friendly staff. Very loud because of close spacing on the tables. Now for the food. Paid for bread, five pieces of pizza bread, not exciting. Salad, good, could have added more then two small tomatoes when that is the key ingredient. Pasta with eggplant, too much pepper, had to cool down with sips of water between bites. Pasta with veal ragu, very good. Limoncello pie, and Affogato round out the meal. Overall, I would try again when they get the kinks out. read more
