Having passed this restaurant many times, we stopped in on a summer Friday for dinner. The restaurant is large, and we were seated immediately. Service was outstanding from the young woman who took care of us. The entrees were good. I had the Vodka Penne and my companion had chicken. It was enjoyable, but we've had better. Place is pretty bad on several fronts. Let's start with the food. A so called "Italian" restaurant that can't even cook their pasta al dente is like a "steakhouse" that can't cook steak to temperature or a sushi place that can't cook rice properly. Failing at the most basic, defining skill of its own cuisine is just sad. To top it off the cooks at this place think salt is the cure all. And as a paying customer I totally felt duped! Hope you don't make the same mistake. Second, the service was slow, painfully slow, ridiculously slow. The service here is plain and simple, awful. You'd think a business in the "service" industry would focus on, you know, service! Now there's a novel concept. If you like sitting at a table twiddling your thumbs for an hour and a half for the food to come out this is the place for you! Third, not sure if this is a pro or con. Guess it'll depend on the reader. But if you like a basic, makeshift, or unrefined dining experience with poor decor and uncomfortable seating with a shed-like atmosphere you need to get out more and stop visiting your uncle Jed's. At least good ole Jed's place is free but if you plan on eating out and paying good money I suggest a destination not so run-down. But if you must bring lots of booze! Well there ya have it. My NEW FAVORITE Italian restaurant! First time here on a busy night with friends. I have high expectations for Italian food, but this place is exemplary! For appetizers we had the 'prosciutto and burrata' and the fried mozzarella appetizer. Both were outstanding! For entrees Husband had the cavatelli and broccoli which he enjoyed. I had the homemade papardelle with bolognese which was simply perfection. Bread was served with olive oil. We did not have room for dessert, but the carrot cake looked great. Went for lunch at this BYO across the street from Peddler's Village - well worth the trip. The staff was friendly and informed and the menu fairly big but not overwhelming. The Grilled Calamari Salad had 5 delicious and tender whole calamari cones in an Arugula Salad. The very good Gnocchi Gorgonzola was a very generous portion, enough so that I'll be enjoying it again tomorrow. Before tip, the bill came to a very reasonable $34. Located near Peddlers Village, this restaurant is tops for Southern Italian Cuisine. Tony, the owner, and Frank, the head server, were very gracious that we were there. In most places, you never meet the owner but here it's different. Tony engages with you in light conversation. That goes a long way with our group. It's their 8th year here and they're going strong. I ordered the Pasta Fagioli soup and Gamberi Arrabbiata. ( it's pasta with shrimp in a spicy pepper tomato sauce.) EXCELLENT. The dessert was primo, a hazelnut parfait in gelato. Food was good but overpriced. Service was terrible, waited 20 minutes before anyone even looked our direction, they are clearly understaffed and I feel bad for that. After being finally waited on, the staff never came back to ask us any questions or see if we wanted anything, had to basically beg for the check and beg for them to pick it up. We had a delightful lunch before a show at the Bucks County Playhouse. The restaurant is in a once bustling complex of shops, now sadly near deserted. The menu is quite large for lunch, and there are selections for every appetite. Service was friendly and attentive. Bread and fresh dipping oil along with ice cold water was at the reserved table for our group. I had a panini with veal and delicious broccoli rabe on a freshly baked roll. French fries were requested well done, and they were perfect. Iced tea was promptly refilled and our meal well paced to allow for making our matinee on time. Fantabulous dinner at Villaggio Cucina Ristorante across from Peddler's Village in Lahaska!! Whenever I'm in peddlers village i always SMELLED this restaurant but was never there at dinner time to try! The pesto pappardelle and vodka sauce pasta , both dishes with homemade pastas were so melt in your mouth and sooo reasonably priced. The crispy calamari (not pictured) were equally as delicious! Well driving around the Lahaska area we remembered that we had come to Villagio Cucina a number of years ago and recall having a very good experience per an earlier review we figured let's try them again made a quick phone call confirmed they had indoor dining and that their tables were being spaced apart so that's a go to for us we arrived we were shown to a table in a party room with it was a large party going on so we had asked if we can be moved and luckily there was availability for us in the main regular dining area. Our service Sean appeared very quickly, was eager and ready to answer questions and run through the specials with us. We decided that we were going to do a three course that we were going to share. we started off with an order of the Clams, Vongole Posillipo, certainly a nice size portion in a very flavorful garlic infused broth with homemade bread for dunking; hence off to a nice start. For a second course we shared the Insalata di Caza, I would say it has a little bit of a flair of Greek there was artichokes and really nice olives roasted peppers nice pieces Italian cubed cheese all in all very nice salad we actually took some home with us. For our main we share the video Sorrentino my wife had it on cappellini pasta and I ordered a side of broccoli Rabe. Clearly a nice size order for two people for sure veal was pounded it was tender had a nice flavor it was just kind of mild on flavor though the same with the broccoli Rob lotta times it could be overly bitter I actually had to add lemon to it to give it a little more flavor I'm not sure if it may be overcooked that zapped out some for flavor but nice meal but OK. The appetizer in the shower certainly hit it off strong but the main what I felt was a little weak on overall flavor of soap in the end I feel low kind of pricey for what it is but it's probably based on location considering peddlers village is directly across the street and does bring in a lot of tourists so safe place to go absolutely not exactly going to be on the list for repeat repeat. read more

I'm going to have to come back and try again because this place was jammed on a Sunday night so food must be better than I got. Service people are very nice but pretty much non existent after the food was ordered. Food was "ok" and my lasagna came out cold with unmelted cheese on top. No biggie it happens and after came back out 20 mins later (yep) it was still not bubbly hot like a good baked pasta dish should be. My wife's chicken Milanese was average...cutlet was nicely cooked but the arugula salad had very few tomatoes and no red onions. You need the acid of those to juxtapose the richness of the cutlet which is what makes that dish. I have a sense the food is better than we experienced but for now it's a 3 and you can get much better red sauce Italian staples many other local places. read more

My family decided to come here on a Sunday night. This is a good example of a medium tier Italian restaurant. I had the Chicken Pulcinella. If you do not know what that is, I have included a photograph. I really enjoy asparagus and this dish included it within the main course. The white wine sauce was very nice as well. I try to stay low carb so I really appreciated that you so not have to get pasta with every dish. I find that somewhat annoying at some Italian restaurants. Another plus is this place is a BYOB. Most Italian restaurants really inflate the prices on their wine lists. It is a real plus to be able to drink a premium bottle of wine with your meal and not pay a fortune. The bottom line is this is not a top level restaurant. However, if you want a good Italian meal without the additional expense of restaurant prices wine, this is a good choice. Came here last night because friends were eating here In the peddlers village area . Good free parking around restaurant Place was pretty busy but able to get table right away . It's a BYOB Pretty large menu selection - it was hard to make a decision from seafood or pasta dishes, a wine or red or cheese sauce. So many options I opted to try the clams casino for appetizer- comes with 5 clams . It was ok to me - I think it's because of the peppers . I think I'm more of an clams oreganata kinda gal now that I think about it but my one friend who tried it- liked it I ended up going with the pappardelle bolognese . Filling and satisfied my taste for red meat sauce . It came with I believe store bought grated Parmesan. It would have been a great touch to have fresh grated cheese . But that was a minor Friends got the scallop and shrimp with sautéed spinach meals and enjoyed it- that was more of a healthy meal ( no carbs) . Spot on!! ain't been in for a while, but what we've remembered about this place is that it's still solid, good food and service which make this a hidden gem in that old Penn's Purchase shopping center. Gnocchi Sorrento and Gnocchi Gorgonzola as well as Eggplant Parmigiana all delicious. Wait staff seems a bit befuddled at times, but they were super busy the night we stopped in. My wife and I were walking around Peddler's Village. Lunch time we decided to try Villaggio's and what a nice find. Ok I had spaghetti and meatballs something very basic. It was very very good. I ate everything but of a large portion. The sauce was mildly sweet and the meatballs were delicious. My wife had a large salad and soup. Her lunch disappeared. Atmosphere was nice. I was there for a party of 4 on a weekday dinner, and it wasn't crowded. Greeted immediately and our wait staff was friendly. We all tried different dishes and all were delicious and would recommend. We had a bottle of our wine with Lamb special, shrimp and scallops, salmon casalingo and zuppa di pesce. Sampled each others and unanimously all were tasty. Best Italian food around. I love everything about this place. The owner and servers care about your experience and want to make sure you have a great time. The food is consistently perfect and it's a BYOB. They do a wonderful job with groups and larger parties. The fried mozzarella was absolutely delicious and will be a huge crowd pleaser. I enjoyed the mussels in spicy marinara and ceasar salad. The lasagna, chicken parmigiana, salmon, seafood with pasta, and so many more dishes are incredible. Visited (on 2/17) with some friends for President Holiday located in the Peddlers Village. The place has plenty of parking considering its near the Village. Inside its rustic and pretty big, nothing fancy and it BYOB. Boom! Fortunately for us, we knew this ahead of time and decided to bring a couple of bottles. When arrived we were immediately seated near the window...always a favorite for me to people watch. Our server gave us the option of bottled, seltzer or tap water. We had warm bread delivered to the table with olive oil and butter. We started off with some apps for the table: Calm Casino and Caprese Brochette. Fresh and delish. Our Entrees: Seafood Salad with fresh seafood. Penne Alla Vodka, Penne Ala Caprese and Linguine Al Fruitti De Mare - shrimp, clams, mussels and calamari in white sauce over penne. This dish was from the dinner menu but they had no problem making a smaller version for lunch. The service and food was great. Would recommend this restaurant if in the area. read more

I'm first generation Sicilian with both parents coming from Italy and have grown up with homemade Italian food my whole life! This is the closest to homemade I've had in a long time. After reading some not so great reviews for Cock n Bull my friend and I decided to cancel our reservation last minute and find another spot near Peddlers Village. Since both of us are big Italian food fans, Villagios seemed like a safe bet. This BYOB spot was a very large place and pretty crowded for a week night but they were able to fit my friend and myself in for dinner which was great. For an appetizer we shared caprese salad which tasted very fresh. For entrees my friend ordered chicken parm and I went with linguini and clams. Both of us enjoyed our meals and were very content with the portions. Glad we were able to come here for a nice dinner instead of the other restaurants within Peddlers Village. read more
