All of this to say, the staff at Dora took it in stride and made sure we did not feel uncomfortable about it while we did our best to reign in the outside voices. This was so appreciated because nothing is worse than being stared at like you don't belong! Not only was the staff friendly and accommodating, the food was amazing. Even the oil they bring out with bread is so delicious, it has some kind of greens or pesto mixture and it's magnificent. We had burrata as an appetizer and gobbled it up down to the salad it sat upon. My tortellini was perfectly cooked and paired with a light pink sauce, I appreciated a thinner sauce with this hearty pasta. Everyone enjoyed their food, even the noisy boys who shared chicken fingers and fries.

I very rarely give a one-star rating but this was richly deserved. First things first. At an outside table, the drinking glasses were placed rim-side down. I don't care how clean you think the tables are, an outdoor table is not sanitary enough for that. There was no bread served either pre-meal or with the meal which is not an absolute must but certainly a nice thing at a predominantly Italian restaurant. We got the chicken parmesan and lasagna, two of the safest things on which you should be able to gauge the quality of a restaurant's abilities. Both were served lukewarm (barely above room temperature) with a barely melted slab of mozzarella plopped on top. The chicken in the parmesan was burnt; not overdone, burnt. It also had some gristly, cartilage bits. The lasagna had so little meat it could have passed for vegetarian. The service was pretty bad as well. I was stung by a bee (my fault for not moving when I noticed an active bee hive near our table) and when my wife went to ask the waiter to help us move tables she practically had to tap him on the shoulder as he was staring intently at his phone and didn't notice her approaching. The food was so bad we opted not to take home the pretty large portions we chose not to eat because they were so bad. Just a terrible experience on every level.

I would not return here based on food quality and price point. I think the establishment is historic and beautiful, but could be improved greatly.

What a wonderful surprise! My husband and I stopped in for lunch and immediately knew we had found a hidden gem. The moment you walk in, you are welcomed by a warm and intimate atmosphere that feels genuinely Italian, more like being invited into someone's home than visiting a restaurant. The food is exceptional, fresh, full of flavor, and made to order with obvious care. Stopped in today for the first time looking for a sandwich to go. Chef put together something on the spot for me. Couldn't have been nicer. Chicken cutlet sandwich was AMAZING !!!!!!!! All ingredients were amazing and top notch. They even gave me a slice of their breakfast pizza free of charge to taste which was so good I will be back for more. But as good as their food was, they are literally the kindest people and were so warm and genuinely welcoming. I will be back for sure to try all of the home made baked goods prepared daily. this place is so darling, it is an absolute hidden gem. Chef Paul and Marie are both so friendly and so very talented in the kitchen. the ambiance is cozy and I feel like I am in Grandmas kitchen. Chef Paul made us lasagna from scratch and it was the best lasagna I have had in a long time. it was absolutely delicious and so fresh. Our family had the pleasure of celebrating our Dad's 89th birthday at Rosemarie's Cucina this past weekend. We had never dined there before, and from the moment we called the restaurant, we were treated like family. The food was delicious. I like to keep it simple on a first visit. If you've seen my other reviews, it sorta makes sense. I got the linguine, with mushroom sauce and meatballs. It gives me a chance to see if the pasta is boxed or not, how fresh the ingredients are, the taste of the sauce, and if they can make a decent meatball. The linguine was made in the kitchen from scratch and the mushroom marinara was delicious. The meatballs are amongst the best I've had in the area, including two NYC Little Italys (Manhattan and Bronx). The salad was fresh and crisp and the bread came out warm and delicious. It's a bit of a drive from Clinton, but I am going to try their pizza at my next takeout opportunity.
