I've been using Prosperity Cleaners since moving to the area about three years ago. Unfortunately, my most recent experience completely changed my opinion. I dropped off 15 shirts and was given a receipt showing a total of $79. When I returned to pick them up, I was charged $108. That is almost a $30 increase from the price on the receipt I was given. I politely questioned the difference and showed them my $79 receipt. I was told that some of my shirts had to be hand pressed because of the material, which resulted in additional charges. My issue is simple. They had the shirts in front of them when I dropped them off and gave me a receipt for $79. If certain shirts required special handling that would increase the price by nearly $30, I should have been told before the work was performed. What bothered me even more was the explanation that this is why they do not charge until pickup, because the price can change. Really? I can understand a small adjustment under unusual circumstances, but going from $79 to $108 is roughly a 37% increase from the price I was originally given, without notifying me or getting my approval. What also concerns me now is that I rarely bring my original receipt when I pick up my clothes. Normally, they simply look up my order using my phone number and I pay whatever amount comes up. This time I happened to have the receipt with me, which is the only reason I noticed the discrepancy. I cannot say whether this has happened on previous orders, but after this experience, I certainly wonder. My advice to other customers is simple: keep your receipt and compare the quoted price to what you are actually charged at pickup. For three years, I accepted paying their higher prices because they provided a service I was generally satisfied with. But I cannot accept being quoted one amount, having the work performed, and then being told at pickup that I owe substantially more. The cleaning itself was fine. This review is about the pricing practice and how the situation was handled. After three years as a customer, they have lost my business. If I could give zero stars based on this experience, I would.

For more complicated clothing, like some jackets, suits, and dresses, I would not go here. This is a simple and cheap dry cleaner. They do not seem to know how to take proper care of the more complicated articles of clothing. The two ladies (both Hispanic) you will meet up front speak English well, and also don't take special requests well. Good for simple dry cleaner - not good for your special grandmother's wedding dress.

I was only using Clean Mart for dry cleaning and have brought my shirts here 4 times with no problems or shrinking. Last time I had 7 shirts cleaned. One of them shrunk a lot during cleaning both in length (barely long enough to tuck in now) and in the sleeves (sleeves come to 2" below my wrist now)The owner refused to take responsibility. She said it was the manufacturer. All 7 of my shirts are made by the same company and are all the exact same size. I have never washed my shirts on my own and it fit perfectly fine before I dropped it off at Clean Mart to be dry cleaned. I showed her all 7 shirts, told her the exact same story, and she refused to admit it could be her fault. Do not use this dry cleaner. They have terrible customer service and if they ruin your clothes they will blame everyone else but themselves. How could it possibly be the manufacturer when it fit last week and the only place my shirt has been since then is this dry cleaner? Take responsibility. I understand shit happens but don't blame me when you're the one that messed up. I spend $40/month on dry cleaning. Replacing my shirt and keeping a long term regular customer sounds like a no brainer to me.
