I…read moreconsider myself pretty resourceful at squirreling things away - I have purged ruthlessly and optimized vertically. I shop at the Container Store. I own lots of bins and baskets. I have read the Kondo stuff. The Montessori stuff for the kids. And incorporated what I thought made sense into my life. But yet....my living space never quite looks as nice as I had hoped. It's very helpful to have someone come to look at your living space. My husband and children are worthless at organizing, and Sarah is awesome. I always thought my apartment was not nice enough to have someone come to help organize. I thought professional organizers must deal with homes that are beautiful. But it's really about making your space work for you and your family, and Sarah is completely down to earth. I'm going to be working with her more for sure. I deserve it. My family deserves it. It's more worthwhile than a 90 minute massage. More liberating than an hour of psychotherapy. More gratifying than a few personal training sessions. I came out of our session feeling like I was on fire and I've been winning at life. I think everyone should do this at least once for their home. She gives you life skills. Concepts that I will use in any new home to come. She even brought a trunk load of stuff. To have someone bring you things from Ikea and have shopped for you. Amazing. I would pay someone to not have to go into IKEA, and I say that even though I love Ikea. So grateful for Sarah's service.

Enter Sarah and Nest Happy. Sarah accommodated our busy working schedule. She came to our 3 hour session with tools to help us label bins I'd lined up for the sorting job. She also brought us a present, a beautiful orchid. What a kind and nice touch. I was impressed with Sarah's patient, relaxed, and knowledgeable working process. One of the worries I had, was that we wouldn't make enough progress in the time given and that the project would continue dragging on. I initially resisted some of her suggestions because I worried it would be too time consuming, and I was in denial of how much stuff we really had. In the course of the session she gently nudged me, like a good coach, in the right direction and I experienced first hand what she had been conveying. As we were moving along she took every opportunity to teach concepts of organization, that we later applied as we continued additional mini-projects after she left. Throughout she constantly checked in to re-confirm our goals for the session and see if those shifted. This turned out to be an important part of the decision making. Although the focus of the session was the garage, she took every opportunity to make suggestions about the rest of the house, and even put in some decorative organizational touches in our guest bathroom. Through her coaching I was able to let go of a number of items that were taking up space and weren't in use. This freed up time and energy to organize the objects that I do care about. Sarah's approach is pragmatic, aesthetically oriented, fun, effective, engaging. She's also a fun person to spend time with and that made the whole process so much easier. After she left, for the rest of the weekend, we were able to accelerate our progress of organizing our garage and other parts of the house, leveraging the techniques she taught me and the advice that she gave. Sarah is a generous, kind, and capable coach, with an eye for beauty and I highly recommend her.

I recently downsized to a significantly smaller apartment and was really struggling with trying to figure out how I was going to fit all the things I needed to access into my tiny space. I was totally stuck although I consider myself a pretty organized person. Leah was able to immediately get started the moment she walked in, and she asked me thoughtful questions and THEN suggested ways to organize my belongings in such a way that would actually work with how I function. I made more progress in the 2 hours I worked with her then I had made on my own in two weeks !!! It was a totally collaborative process, if she suggested something I didn't think would work for me she was quick to offer several other solutions. And I think because she asked smart questions and put together something that really worked for ME it has been really easy for me to keep up with my new system and put things back where they belong. Also, I wasn't expecting this, but she helped me swap out and re-arrange some furniture (even trudged down with me to my basement storage area to pick out a different side table for an awkward spot) and gave me some advice on where to hang some art. Her personality was great - she was friendly but very to the point and straight forward. She definitely kept us moving forward, and I was appreciative that she seemed very conscious of the fact that I wanted to keep our hours down. I really can't recommend her highly enough - if it weren't for her I would still be living out of boxes and boo-hoing to myself about my micro-spot. Instead I am feeling settled in my new home. Leah helped me organize my kitchen, bedroom and closet and 4 months later my place is still orderly and clean! Not only did she have creative suggestions on optimizing my space, she has a real eye for design. My kitchen has exposed shelves and she had creative and fun suggestions for displaying some of my kitchen goods (and I get compliments all the time on her set up). Leah is incredibly resourceful and was able to use a lot of the organizing tools (bins, hooks and racks) that I already had to set up my closet and bedroom. She also helped me prioritize the top purchases I needed to make and I must say those purchases have made all the difference. She helped me arrange my bedroom/living room which is always the tricky part of living in a studio. She was patient and even moved some of my furniture and art around until we found a set up that worked really well. She had great suggestions on new furniture pieces that are ideal for small spaces like a bench at the end of my bed that can be used for storage and an extra seat when guests come over.
