Not many places you can go get lost in car skeletons, love this one. It always has what I need for a good price, they help you locate which rows your car type is in so you don't have to meander aimlessly for hours looking, they let you bring your own tools, and the entrance fee is literally $2 for all day reentrance to any of their facilities. I would give this 0 Star if there was possible! This is the WROST and STINKIEST customer service EVER! So I went here with my dad on Saturday afternoon and got there at 3:20pm. Went in and the room was packed, had my name written down as the guy told me. Waited for 40minutes and he called us. Showed him what we were there for and a response we got, "Oh, we don't do the program now. There's a line on the waitlist here represents when we stop taking people with BAR program." I literally was so pissed and told him that he should've told me. That fucking line on the waitlist, you expect everyone who has never been to your "JUNK" office to know?!? The entrance cashier(light-skinned black girl) was very rude and dishonest. She was doing everything against company policy. She told me that i had to pay $2 entrance fee in order to look at used tires and purchase used tires. She lied to me about customers having to pay $2 to look at used tires. She said: "from now on, customers have to pay $2 to look at used tires." Furthermore, she said that there is no more white paper to sign in for looking at used tires. She was rude and insulting to me, because i have purchased over $400 in used tires at pick-n-pull in the past and i never had to pay for entrance fees. All i had to do was to sign my signature on a white piece of paper before going inside to look at used tires. She angered me so much with her rude and disrespectful personality that i've decided not to purchase tires there anymore. Please be aware.. Don't believe or trust what the entrance cashier(light-skinned black lady) tells you. Trust your instinct and speak directly to the supervisor/manager, because the entrance cashier is setting up her own rules/policies at the company. Horrible place to retire a vehicle, if doing so. They completely ignore you, even if you try to get their attention. They laugh and speak Spanish(which is fine, if they were doing their job), the room is cramped and I've waited an hour so far and no one had once called my name. They made me move my vehicle to another parking lot due to too many cars coming out. They should have signs directing us to the correct parking spots. They should have a system in which one person handles incoming customers(2 would be better) and one handling the approval or denial portion of the applications. I also think they're not paying attention to me, whatsoever, because I'm a white girl. They're gladly directing their attention to anyone else who tries to ask questions. If you're in need of a rim, forget about this place. All of the rims have been removed from the cars and dumped into a heap without any sort of identification. There is no easy way to identify which car it came off of, and of course no one can provide any assistance. Wasted an hour of my time there. I entered at 4:26pm being the last person in according to the girl at the door. She closed it behind me i proceeded to pay with the cashier. She was helping another customer & let him enter. She then turned to me & told me i only had 3 mins but could not enter the yard that i could pay & "hang out with them inside." The manager jumped in the convo & stated this was true that closing time changed. I felt i was being targeted as they let another customer enter right in front of me. If this was so i believe PicknPull would have the changes updated on their website. I understood you can enter as long as you are in the yard by 4:30 up until 5pm which is closing time. Two bucks to get in and the hunt begins! It's like a game and you have to find you car before anyone else. My brother and I went in to get parts for my Land Rover. I looked online to make sure the vehicle was I stock and they had two recently dropped off. When we got there, people had taken lots of parts from them but I only needed accessories and was able to take apart what I needed. I could buy brand new parts online or from the dealership and pay $$$$$$$. But this is much quicker and fun. Make sure you bring a basic tool kit or you will waste your time. Also, don't expect help from the staff to get the parts out. This is a self serve method. read more

I'd like to reiterate what a lot of other reviewers have. Way overpriced. They often want more for their used parts that you pull yourself, than it costs to buy it new in the aftermarket. Notable recent prices I've been charged (and laughed and walked away) are an intake manifold for $250, (which by the way is more than a complete engine) and 2 interior door handles and 2 push buttons for $35 (which you can get 2 new door handles online for $24). The absolute most ridiculous part of this is the core charge. A core charge at a parts store is put on particular parts so they can retain their supply and be able to continue refurbishing parts. This is only for parts that are being refurbished. Pick n pull charges a core charge as well, but for no reason other than greed! Theyre not refurbishing, there's no need to have a core charge. They even have core charges on things like bumper covers! Oh, and a $2 charge to even enter the yard... lame. read more

I received a letter stating my 1991 vehicle might qualify for 1000. Purchase by pick n pull. I called the 800 number and got pre-approved. Took the vehicle to the north San Jose location. No parking, very few employees, 2+ hr wait in a HOT trailer. Still no check even though preapproved and the car has already been checked in. God almighty, worse than DMV. At least there you can park and sit in an air conditioned building with bathrooms!!! this is specifically the portion of pick n pull where you sell them your car, not next door where you go to look for parts. read more

Got a driver's door including the window for $65 everything. If I bring the wrecked door back i get $5 back. Why not? Don't expect the workers there to be knowledgeable. They told me that only two model years are compatible with mine, but I pulled one from another model year based on my research and it works just fine. So, do your homework before going. Search their inventory and do a price search online. Their pricing are listed on the website as well. One thing to note: although i do find more than 10 cars on their website that are compatible, I ended up finding only one with a 90% intact door, as most of them were wrecked. read more

I retired my old vehicle here yesterday. They don't really tell you, but to retire the vehicle, you must go to 1055 Commercial COURT, not 1065 Commercial STREET. This was kind of confusing. I received my Vehicle Retirement Certificate in the mail a few days prior. Since my old car would no longer pass smog, I had to non-op it. I went to the DMV early in the morning and got a (free) one-day permit to drive the car to the Pick n Pull. As long as you read the instructions carefully on the certificate and bring the certificate, title (pink slip) and your ID, you'll be good to go. The whole process to me about an hour and I was happy with the $1000 I was given for a car worth about $200. There's a lot of negative things written about the people working here, but I found the girl that processed my paperwork to be very friendly and helpful. You can tell they take a lot of verbal abuse from customers that don't know how to follow simple instructions, and take out their frustrations on them. Get a grip people... Actually read the instructions and follow simple procedures. If you are nice to the people that work there, they will be nice right back at you. read more

Went here to try to find a replacement antenna. They had a lot of cars so I had to look through a lot of different rows, but I was able to find what I needed. Prices were OK. Paid about $12 for a used antenna. I guess if I need something used again I'll try to stop by. read more

I get a little upset when I see these one star negative reviews, do these people want someone to take the part off and put it in the car and install it for them, this is a junkyard. I've been going to this particular Pick-n-Pull for several years now. I have gotten parts for my Chevy and my Ford and saved quite a bit of money. For instance there was a electrical part on my Ford that would cost $70.00 at the dealer. I got the part for $30.00, and of course you always have the exchange guarantee, which I did not use because the part worked perfectly. People with these negative reviews keep talking about the management, with a should be talking about is a large inventory and how easy it is to find your year and make of vehicle, even if you don't find your exact year, most of the time the same part spans over several model years. So all I can say is get your tools go to the junkyard don't expect the part to be served on a silver platter and you should have a very pleasant experience. One more thing if you don't want to get your hands dirty they do have people there that were removed the part or a fee. read more

Great service on the phone to sell my old car. However, the experience for picking up the car was horrible. They have me a 4 hour window, and since my car was at the mechanic, I had to just sit there for 4 hours. Then they missed the 4 hour window and never called. I came here to buy a new spare tire. My donut popped on the road. They didn't have the small donut spare tires so I had to buy a regular tire with a rim (the combo). The staff member inside the yard who helped me find the best match they had was pretty helpful. He told me they didnt have my exact size rim and tire but they had something close. I said ok I will ask more before I pay at the register. I asked the cashier if someone could PLEASE come out to my car parked in their lot to see if this rim and tire was going to actually WORK for my car. They said no we cant do that. Mind you I'm a female who doesn't know much about car stuff, I tried to bring a male friend who knows more than me that day but didn't have any luck that day and needed a spare asap. I feel safer having one in the car. I expressed my lack of car knowledge and they still didn't help. I asked if I could return the tire they said within 3 days, thats not always long enough for some of us to have someone come over and verify that its gonna do the trick as a spare tire. Once I needed to use the tire, tunrs out itwas not a good match or safe spare tire. it was coming off!! Thank god for the random people on the freeway who told me your back wheel is loose and shaking from side to side. They might have saved my life!!! I dont think its that hard to offer a LITTLE MORE FEEDBACK to someone who asks and really needs it before they buy something here. I needed the lock fixed on my driver's side door to my 2004 Honda Civic, and this place was recommended to me as being the cheapest place for the fix. They were right! They quoted me for $50, and that's exactly what I paid for him to take apart the door, replace a part of the lock, and put it back together. The mechanic was very nice and explained to me exactly what was wrong and how he would fix it. Very quick and friendly service, I will use them again for sure! read more

This place is a shit-hole. I went here to look at a specific vehicle that was listed on the inventory section on there website. I arrived and asked the girl about the vehicle and she checked her computer and said "Yup! We got it. Its in row 3." I asked if I could take a look at it and she said "Its 2 dollars to get in". I told her I was just interested in looking at it and she said it costs 2 dollars to "just look at it". i figured what the heel its only 2 bucks so I give her the 2 and she tells me its in row 3. She even gives me a little printout of the vehicle and the location. So I stroll out there to row 3. The place is huge and every car and truck looks like its been gone over 100 times. i stroll up and down row 3 a couple of times and I cant seem to find the vehicle. Am I an idiot? Am I blind? Hesitantly I head back inside and reconfirmed with the girl the location. Her attitude was much to be desired but she rechecked the computer and assured me the vehicle was in row 3. So i head back out and its not there. Again I go back in and I asked her if she could show me. With a huff she says follow me, so I follow her and her fat ass out to row 3 and low and behold the vehicle is not there. I guess I am not blind or and idiot. At least I got that going for me! The girl explained to me that the inventory is rotated and that the particular one was probably just removed and crushed. I said no problem and asked for my 2 dollars back. She says "we don't give refunds" with an irritated tone!! I plead my case and said I understood that but I was trying to look at a specific vehicle that you assured me you had. She pretty much said, with attitude as big as her ass, that we don't give refunds. Guys, I realize that its only 2 bucks but the service and the attitude sucks in this place. And if you ask me the cars all looked like a bare skeletons that every piece of meat was picked off it by vultures. I wont go back. I think I will stick to a "real" wrecking yard.
