I could see a minimum half hour charge. They wouldnt do it for less than a full shop hour, so $173. FIVE minutes on a computer, $173. No one else around had the programmer apparently to do this so since I needed it that weekend, so I had to pay. I'll never do business with these thieves again. Ever. I'll sell or set fire to the truck first. Go to Huntsville or Cullman, they seem much more likely not to gouge you for 5 minutes of "work" on your truck. If they still would charge you for it, don't buy a Ford! $173 for 5 minutes of computer time as insanity, it's a shop, not a high dollar lawyer!

We had several errands to run and decided at the last minute to stop by AutoZone and get another battery if they had one in stock. We have used this store in the past. The store had a battery in stock. We were glad to hear that. Hubs paid for the battery and a store employee came outside to replace the battery. He told my husband the alternator wasn't working and the new battery was draining as the car was running. We didn't have any lights telling us the old battery was low nor did we have lights to tell us the new battery was low. I suggested we drive home and go to Shottenkirk first thing in the morning. Kudos to AutoZone for having the battery in stock! As for their employee and his tester, we are not sure if the employee doesn't know how to use the machine ir the machine is bad.
