If you are inquiring about having your vehicle remotes programmed and car keys cut, read on. And if you are searching for a locksmith to cut keys, call PickBuster first. I venture to guess if Kobi can't help you, no one can. I had PickBuster Locksmith (owner Kobi Shriki) program two 2015 Honda CR-V remotes, and cut the enclosed blank emergency keys. (Note: I had bought the two remotes on eBay a few weeks ago, $45 each). Total PickBuster cost was $179, $200 with the $20 tip I happily tossed in. The entire process took 15 minutes, I now have three remotes/keys instead of one, and I saved a ton of money instead of going to the Honda dealership. The procedure: I called PickBuster's number at 7:00 PM. Kobi called me back a few minutes later. I informed Kobi what I needed. (Basically: I bought a 2015 CR-V, it came with one remote/key which I have, bought two OEM remotes with blank uncut keys on eBay, I need the remotes programmed and keys cut.) He confirmed I had the remotes and all I needed was his "labor." I told him where I lived and we agreed to meet the next morning at the Best Buy parking lot, on Harrison. (Note: Like most locksmiths, these guys are mobile. Kobi showed up in his huge white van that had his "shop" in the back of it.) I gave Kobi everything, and left the CR-V parked next to his van. We went browsing in Best Buy, 15 minutes later Kobi called and said "all done." P.S. Few locksmiths provide vehicle remote programming (coding) and later-model car key cutting. So you have to call around and inquire if the locksmith provides such services. But like I said, save your time, call Kobi. Additionally, plan ahead. Most locksmiths do NOT sell vehicle remotes. Usually you can only get those at the car dealership, where remotes are very expensive. (In 1999 I bought a remote for my BMW 740i. It took about a week to get it, cost me $250. Probably about $600 in 2019.) Bonus Tip: I recommend you buy some extra remotes on eBay. BEWARE cheap Chinese crap. Buy a remote in which the seller describes it as "OEM" which means genuine "original equipment manufacture." OEM remotes will cost more, that's how you know it is genuine, and not a Chinese knockoff. Bonus Tip: Only buy a remote that has NOT been used, has not been programmed, and has a blank uncut key. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL YOU HAVE LOST YOUR ONLY KEY/REMOTE. You have to pay a lot more for locksmith services if you don't have the remote's ID number, have to "rekey" your locks, etc. UPDATE: Today I saw a card that advertised "lost key return service," that appears similar to those cat and dog collar tag services, a number for people to call who find your dog or cat who has run away. Discovered Kobi on Yelp - exceptionally meriting his general 5 star rating. Howl needs to make another "6 star" rating for the "best of all the 5 stars" - Kobi would be my #1 decision to get that 6 star rating. We required him to re key locks, adjust numerous deadbolts, smooth out the locking system for various locks, without any end in sight - this was not your simple "procure anybody equipped, 5 minutes" kind of occupation. Kobi considered me a couple of hours before to affirm the arrangement. He arrived 10 minutes ahead of schedule with his super stacked van. Discussion about being proficient and esteeming the season of your clients! He took care of business with incredible exactness (and straightforwardness - let us know precisely what he was doing). He even vacuumed in the wake of completing his work (a portion of the divider slicing he expected to do left a wreck on the floor underneath not surprisingly - he cleaned it to be perfect a while later). All while having a grin all over and simply being a by and large bright, great, upbeat person. Truly fulfilled me to associate with him, while making me feel certain given his range of abilities. His costs were reasonable and separated, so we knew precisely what we were paying and why. Will 100% call him for any bolt needs and will prescribe him and just him to everybody I know. Kobi is the MAN! Ever watched Ocean's 11? Gone in 60 seconds? Seen any sort of heist or spy movie? There's always that one guy on the team. The one who can open any lock, has a key for everything, and does it all in minutes without breaking a sweat. THAT guy is Kobi, and I seriously mean that. Just take a look at his van ;)! I lost my key chain, and with it the keys to my 350z as well as my 2011 Kawasaki ZX-6R motorcycle. I called no less than 7 places in the Bay area, and 5 of them couldn't even quote me for my motorcycle because they don't work on them. The 2 places that claimed they could make keys for my bike and car, literally charged me double what Kobi did. No exaggeration, he literally gave me 2 keys for both my bike and car, for HALF the price of the other guys. Not only that, Kobi took the time to go into his database, and print out the key code for my motorcycle and car in case I ever needed it again. No extra charge, no asking, he just handed it right over with a big smile. It's not often you run into someone who genuinely enjoys what they do. When you see Kobi working on your keys, it's clear he has a real passion for his line of work and it shows. Without any delay, he showed up on time, made a key for both my car (2004 Nissan 350z) and my motorcycle (2011 Kawasaki ZX-6R) and was finished in less than an hour. Kobi is a gem. I locked my Mercedes key-fob in the trunk and he saved the day when few others could. Punctual, skilled and very professional. I would never want to be in this situation again and if I was, I would call him in a heartbeat. Full story: The first locksmith I called showed up in a Prius and had minimal equipment, but shimmed open the door successfully using air pads. However, we were unable to open the trunk from the inside since the car alarm was enabled and we couldn't successfully take apart the backseat to get access. Learning this cost me $140. I began calling other locksmiths, communicating that I needed to unlock the trunk specifically. This was a giant headache. Many locksmiths used dispatchers which make calling a giant hassle of juggling several phone calls. Several outright refused to work on a Mercedes since their locks are more complicated than US/Asian cars. Kobi didn't answer my call immediately (it was early in the day), but quickly called me back personally. He assured me that he had the equipment and could easily do it after I told him my story. He showed up right at the time he specified he would with a large van full of sophisticated equipment. Within under 10 minutes, he had created a replacement key that allowed me to get into the trunk. This cost me $195. He also offered to make a full duplicate of my key fob for $250 without being pushy about it. My realtor arranged for Kobi to change all the locks when I moved into my new house, and he was so great that I wish I had more locks to change! Being a locksmith looks like a lot of fun. Kobi walked through the house and really took the time to understand the different security needs for each level. As a bonus, he also explained how to reprogram the garage door opener and keypad. As an engineer, I'm fascinated by how things work, and sometimes pick very basic locks just for fun. So when Kobi rekeyed the house, I jumped at the chance to see all the pins and specialized machinery in action! I was blown away when I looked inside the mobile workshop. It looks like the space shuttle--compact and well-organized. Every square inch is maximized for effectiveness-it's stunning. I wish I could make my workshop space that efficient. If you have the chance to check it out, definitely take the opportunity to stick your head in there. It's a tiny Epcot Center of fun. Not only did I get the house rekeyed smoothly on a chaotic day, but I also feel like I learned a lot about locks and security from Kobi. Came by really fast (within 45 minutes). Very honest and reasonable prices. When it comes to 5-start service, pickbuster locksmith really delivers. As anyone can see, it is obvious their customers agree. I'm going to keep this short. I locked my keys in the back of my trunk as I was too distracted emptying the car. Idiot! I know! The sleepless nights ended when I met up with Kobe! Losing the last FOB key for my VW - Jetta was horrid. We wanted to get some spare keys made for our new car. The dealer said they couldn't make any keys without the fob and we were looking for "normal" keys. After calling around to multiple locksmiths and getting quotes, we followed up with Kobi at PickBuster. I lost my Fiat 500x keys over the weekend and I didn't have a spare key. Kobi saved the day! I was moving from SF to Indiana and the transport truck was coming to pick up my motorcycle when we couldn't find the key. I rushed over to the Kawasaki dealership and they basically told me I was out of luck. After a quick google search I fortunately found PickBuster and called Kobi. Lost my only key to my son's 99 Nissan Maxima. Called AAA and found that their locksmith quote for one coded key was much more than what Kobi's quote for two keys.
