Great in practice but incredibly frustrating when you pay $18 for the "coaches" to spend the entire evaluation on their phones. You are much more likely to find staff playing or socializing than managing the front desk. I have overheard players bragging about how their buddy at the front desk lets them in for free. Friends of staff are allowed to do their evaluation against higher level groups rather than being thrown in with new members like everyone else. Signing up for an evening slot usually results in there not being enough players for games, with everyone clearing out before the first hour is done. You end up spending $18 for two hours of pickleball only to have to wrap up after an hour.

The league itself is super chill, not crazy competitive. You can be a great bowler or a bit so great bowler and always fit in! I started as an OKAY bowler but this has gotten me rolling better than ever! Basically, I think it's a great league to join if you're looking to have some fun and meet a whole bunch of awesome people! Plus High 5 Anderson Lane is a super fun venue with lots to offer!

Compared to the only other mini golf course I've been on in Austin, I noticed the turf is a little too new and smooth. While on the course, you can order drinks anytime on the using a QR code stationed at each hole drink stand. Supposedly, the caddie will find you. You could seriously spend so much time here! Wishing they'd set up a location down south where there's lots of land!!

We're fortunate enough to have connections who can get us into these courts and it's been a blast every time! It's even great to just watch others play, sometimes you'll see pros playing, other times you'll see pickleball royalty hanging out :) I've met the owner who is a super chill guy. Grateful he's open to sharing his love for PB with the rest of us. The staff is super friendly, especially Bryan, and the course is both interesting and in good shape for December. The pro shop was expanded and has a good selection of hats, balls, shirts etc. and Matt, the GM can order whatever clubs you want. The cafe has also expanded the food and beverage selections with very good quality. Due to the huge influx of people to the area, the demand on golf courses and corresponding price hikes are noticeable to the locals/regulars but not excessive. I'll definitely be playing again on every trip back to Round Rock. Try it, you'll love it!
