A wonderful place to eat in the most relaxing place in the area. We sat at the bar since the place was relatively empty but it was quite cold and the heater was on near the bar. The bartender was super nice and helpful. She helped us pick the food and wine. We got the fish tacos, which were amazing! Some of the best fish tacos I have had. The mexican street corn was also really good. We also got the bean dip and it was good.

Very relaxing by the pool restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu. Do not expect authentic Mexican food but it was very tasty. Started off with a kiwi mint vodka. It was so refreshing and tasty. We started off with chips and salsas. The chips were freshly made and crispy. All the salsas were tasty and even though they had a kick they were very good. We also got the whipped avocado with chips. It was slight and fluffy. The cotija cheese gave it a different flavor but in a good way. We got the carne asada with homemade tortillas. It was cooked very well it was very juicy and flavorful.

We came in for a late lunch and no reservations. There was plenty of tables but the hostess seem to be trying to figure out where to put us so I said we would sit at the bar. Hostess was happy about that because of all the reservations they had but the whole time we were there, there was plenty of open tables and when I looked online there was almost all reservation slots open. Bar was fine this line and had great service from the bartenders and the gentleman bringing out our food. My husband and I shared everything because there was so many things we wanted to try. Piconuts, Elote, Quesa tacos (tri tip was so tender), and the El Huarache. The El Huarache was probably my least favorite but it was still good. The drink i ordered was the Cabrera 1777.. delicious! Hopefully we will be back soon to try the rest of the menu. Oh , I forgot about the churros, small homemade churros that came out hot with chocolate sauce, can't go wrong with that

Had an incredible cocktail here, the Tepachaste. Not sure if you can dip into the jacuzzi or giant pool as a dining guest, but if you're staying at Solage, Picobar is definitely worth trying out for a night. We were Solbar-only until our fourth visit, what were we doing. The avocado tacos with chili oil and toasted peanuts were delicious. The ahi tuna tostada was the perfect accompaniment. This place is absolutely worth a visit. Plus, everyone here is chill, conscious, and kind.

Who doesn't love a world class luxury resort with a restaurant outlet that everyone talks about? Pico Bar highlights flavors from the Ensenada coast and the seasonality of wine county. Prior to visiting Pico Bar, I already heard so many good things. After about a year of hearing about the place I finally had the opportunity to try it out during a spa day Pico Bar is conveniently located by the pool and is open to the public. There is plenty of seating from the bar, seated tables and the fire pit. The bartender was so helpful and was able to give us recommendations on his favorite items on the menu including the drinks. Food came out quickly and I know this might seem basic but I really enjoyed the elote. The Quesa-Birra tacos were also a crowd pleaser. The hospitality was amazing from the team and just as good as the food. Truly can't go wrong with what you choose on the menu. The calamar for me seemed a bit overdone but was still a good experience. I think some of the items are a bit overpriced but the quality of the food makes it all worth it.

The restaurant is great ambience and the service is good. I wasn't impressed with the food. Maybe because I am Mexican and cook delicious food. The ceviche is not your typical Me I am ceviche. It needed to be marinaded in line. The salad needed flavor and the queso taco was average.

I saw the reviews about this place and featured in many blogs. I didn't expect it to be authentic Mexican but I felt this place was so-so. It's a very cute atmosphere and the service was friendly but I wasn't impressed by the food. The esquites were pretty good and the spicy aioli was nice. The birria tacos were not worth the price and were ok. I have had better. I think for the atmosphere and maybe some small bites this could be good but I was left wanting more.

Beautiful place. Food was not that good. Bellied calamari tasted burned. Carne asada tasted a little burnt as well like if they used the same grilled of the burnt calamari. Whipped avocado was missing like and onions. Pico de gallo tasted old. Service could have been way better.

Love the avocado tacos here. The salsas are amazing here. Mezcal focused cocktail menu. Drinks were delicious. Mexican lager on draft was great too. Small ramekin side of salsa are $2 but worth it. Bartender was very friendly and attentive. Great outdoor pool bar. Open to the public for dining. Definitely recommend

This place was a great find! It's located within a resort, so we were a bit confused driving into the property at first. The place is beautiful, right by a pool and outdoor games with a cool ambience. It's a bit pricey for the portion size, but the food tasted great and the staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered: THE SOL ORIGINAL ($16 for 2) crispy, petrale sole, cilantro, spicy aioli, sweet and sour cabbage TACOS AL PASTOR ($15 for 2) niman ranch spit-roasted pork guajillo chili marinade, avocado crema charred pineapple, cilantro, onion CRUDO OF HAMACHI ($20) cucumber aquachile, mint, serrano chile, cilantro - comes with yummy tortilla chips CALAMAR ($15 for 2 sticks) grilled monterey bay squid, chile oil, spicy macha mayo ROSEMARY JAMAICA ($10) My favorite was the Crudo of Hamachi, the fish and the sauce were refreshing especially on a hot summer day and the tortillas were freshly made and perfectly salted. I need to go back to try the Duck Mole Tacos, Gulf Shrimp Ceviche, Tostada de Pulpo, Tacos de Cangrejo, and their desserts

The food, service and ambiance were excellent. The hostesses were very nice. We were 15 min late from traffic. We called and the gal was super curtious. Our waitress, Leslie was fabulous, super helpful with suggestions for food and fun bar drinks. It could not have been better. It was our fabulous four girls luncheon. I will bring my husband back here for sure. Thank you all

With excitement in her eyes, she described the delicious tropical-inspired cocktails with good vibes to match. Since I had an upcoming birthday, I bookmarked the restaurant so that we would remember to visit it during our stay in Calistoga. After arriving in Calistoga on a Friday evening, my wife and I thought that it would be appropriate to have dinner and drinks at Robert's. Upon walking through the entrance of the restaurant, we observed a nice backyard-style layout with televisions tuned to the NBA playoffs, patrons enjoying glasses of wine, and a DJ playing smooth yacht rock tunes. A friendly employee informed us that it was open seating, so we sat ourselves along the padded seating in close proximity to the DJ. Shortly afterwards, a server came by to take our orders. My wife ordered the short rib, garlic fries, and the Sip It Slowly cocktail; I ordered the Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Dumplings (suggested by the server), and the Jerk Old Fashioned. While we awaited our orders, the server brought us a delicious miniature size soup - which was absolutely delicious and definitely a tease! Shortly after, our drinks arrived. I found my drink to be delicious, strong, and was intrigued by the flavor that the little piece of submerged jerky provided. However, I will admit that I was a bit jealous when I snuck a couple sips of my wife's delicious cocktail. Up until the arrival of our meals, I was impressed. My wife found the short ribs to be just ok; additionally, her fries were lukewarm upon arrival and dry (as if they were overcooked). I have had Jamaican jerk chicken in Jamaica, so my expectations were very high. Unfortunately, the chicken was not flavorful and did not have the "kick (spice)" that I anticipated. Surprisingly, the highlight here was the dumplings (delicious!) and the Hint of Passion cocktail that I ordered (if I had a signature drink- this would be it!). I really should have listened to my intuition when we initially observed that a majority of the other patrons were just indulging in drinks, no food. When our server brought us the bill totaling roughly $160, I couldn't help but feel like the food was not in alignment with the price point. I wanted so badly to like this establishment, but honestly could not see myself returning for anything other than one of their cocktails.

Boasting high ceilings with exposed wood beams and a beautifully decorated bar area, the space oozes with rustic class and would make a great venue for any party or group gathering. We, however, came in for a sit down lunch with two kids and the small lounge seats and tables were not the best setup for a family meal. Which is the only thing keeping me from giving this place five stars. Similarly, the menu was also catered more to adults, with plenty of vegan options but very few items suitable for kids. That's not a knock on this place, just something to take note of. As a result, we opted to snack on a few items and the caviar and duck fat fries did not disappoint. The espresso martini with pumpkin foam was also excellent. But the really cool part about this place is the vintage train cars, each intricately decorated and offering their own dining/drinking experience. For example, one offers an oyster bar with underwater decor while another features a cowboy bar with real saddles as bar seats. The cleverness in design and attention to detail is impressive and is what makes this place special. I doubt there is a more interesting place to have lunch in Calistoga. I'm a fan of what they're doing here and would love to come back. Minus the kids of course.

I actually first found out about it because of my obsession (and I mean obsession) with the banana bread at Sam's Social Club. If you know, you know -- it's ridiculously good. We're talking the kind of banana bread that ruins all other banana breads for you. It comes with this cloud of whipped mascarpone cheese on the side -- not butter, not cream cheese, mascarpone -- and it's just... bomb-diggity! I've literally daydreamed about it. But here's the problem: they sell out. Fast. Like, blink-and-it's-gone fast. So one of the last times I was in Calistoga, I was told that if Sam's Social Club runs out, you can actually grab it from La Palmiere, their little Airstream café on the same property. You better believe I made a beeline there -- and yes, they had it. Crisis averted. Banana bread secured. Happiness restored. Their menu is pretty limited (which I don't mind -- they stick to what they're really good at), and their hours are short, so definitely check before you go. But I've also tried their egg sandwich, and oh my gosh -- they use Model Bakery English muffins, which are basically the gold standard of English muffins. The second I saw that, it was an instant yes. Their avocado toast is another win -- super fresh and piled high. Like, they definitely don't skimp. I'm pretty sure it's at least one whole avocado per toast situation, and I am not mad about it. Oh, and even their coffee is solid. Simple, smooth, and hits the spot while you're sitting outside soaking up that relaxed Calistoga vibe. So if you're staying at Indian Springs -- or even just in the area -- do yourself a favor and swing by La Palmiere. Especially if Sam's Social Club is sold out of that heavenly banana bread. You can thank me later.
