STEPH JUDGEMENT: Fun place with unique restaurants and bars. We came here to check out the distillery but didn't realize there was so much other stuff going on! The whole complex was newly renovated, and had a high-end, bougie (read: spendy) feel. There is a sizable "general store" leading you into the distillery, filled with all manner of gift items, along with a food counter and a coffee bar. Through the distillery is a very pleasant large outdoor area, with lots of seating. Next to the distillery building were a series of vintage train cars with different specialties (Mexican, seafood, etc), all with wonderful whimsical decor. We had dinner plans so didn't get anything to eat or drink here, except for a latte at the coffee bar, which was very good. Very well thought-out and beautifully restored--worth a visit!

I visited The Depot for the first time on a Friday night when they had live music. While the band was good, the volume was a little too loud, to the point where it was difficult to have a conversation at the table. That said the space itself is beautiful and offers a decent amount of seating. The service was also a highlight. Our servers checked on us regularly and the food came out quickly.I ordered the Picante pizza, which was tasty and well made. The flavor was good but I did feel that it was quite overpriced for what you get. I also tried the Grey Goose lemon drops, which were refreshing and very enjoyable.Overall, it was a nice experience with great service and a fun atmosphere, though I would consider coming back earlier in the evening or on a nonmusic night for a more relaxed dining experience.

Amazing place to stop in at when in Calistoga! My friend and I had a terrible spa experience that morning and were so relieved to find this restaurant to make our day better. They have a dedicated vegan menu that is fantastic. Many places have vegan options that are avocado toast, french fries, or salad. Not here! All of their vegan dishes sound delicious and mine was very thoughtfully prepared. I will definitely be back to bring more people to experience this restaurant!

This place was great. Nice and calm on a Saturday afternoon. They have live music to enjoy while having a drink or a meal. Great for parties, big or small. Just to note: our bartender said they add 20% gratuity to all checks.

Super unique bar/restaurant in the heart of one of Napa Valley's cutest towns. I had their signature Depot pizza and it was delicious. The crust was wood-fired to perfection, a perfect balance between gooey and crispy. The bar has a nice rotation of cocktails, spirits, beers, and wines. Something for everyone. Ample parking in the back and the location is perfect as the first or final stop of a downtown walk.

Such a fun place!! You can explore the trains that have different restaurants in each part. There's four restaurants in one, which at first made me skeptical (can a place really pull that off?) ladies and gentlemen, Calistoga Depot has pulled it off!! Ambiance: the trains are so fun. You can learn a lot about the history. And one of the trains have a chocolate shop in there that was phenomenal. A little on the pricier side, but definitely worth it. Vegan Chopped Salad: we ordered the Vegan Chopped Salad from the vegan restaurant menu, and it was one of the best salads my husband and I had in a while. We're not vegan nor are we vegetarian but we thoroughly enjoyed how dynamic the salad was. The chimichurri had a good kick to it, and it made us feel healthy. Tlayudas: I would describe a tlayuda as a Mexican pizza on a large tortilla. Instead of tomato sauce, bean spread with cheese on top and amazing toppings. We got the mushroom instead of carnitas bc I've been on a mushroom kick, and I'm so happy we did. The salsa that came with it had a good level of spice and flavor too! Mocktail: the bartender named Kristin served me one of the best mocktails I've had in my life. She doesn't have a name for it, but it has a bit of a jalapeño kick to it, and it's super well balanced. Not too sweet with a refreshing lime in it. SO GOOD.

My smoked salmon sandwich was delicious, but my friend's pizza was not with a totally cooked crust... so frustrating. Sat outside to be away from cleaning fluid smell... guessing it is used for wiping down the tables. Great patient server.

The Calistoga depot is a fun stop during your Calistoga getaway! Great venue with lots of choices sure to please everyone in your party. It is a bit confusing for first timers, given the various venues. We went for lunch, decided to sit outdoors in one of the well shades seating spots. It took a few minutes for service staff to find us, but after that service was great. We really enjoyed our pizza. On select evenings there is live music in an intimate outdoor location. Like wine? They've got that. Like spirits? They have that too. Don't miss this Calistoga gem!

10/10 on the experience! Pair the whiskey with caviar to mellow out the strong flavors of the flight and the tequila flight was just the one. Must make a stop here! Also the tequila pairs well with oysters Service 100/10 Magdalena was the best girl out there to give you the flight experience! Over all a must stop here

After a day of wine tasting my brother suggested we get takeout from this place. As soon as I saw the menu and all the vegan options, heck yes sign me up! We got a variety of appetizers, pizzas, and a sandwich. Wow! Everything was fantastic and full of flavor. Idk if anything was left over! Highly recommend!

Such a fun place to explore refurbished & repurposed train cars: a tasting room for several wineries, a Mexican restaurant, an Oyster bar, a chocolate shop, and a bar. We had lunch in the main building bar/restaurant. Had the smoked salmon sandwich with duck fat fries, delicious! Though in wine country, I had an Allagash white ale. Our bill for our party of four had a 20% tip automatically added, so carefully peruse your bill and don't over tip.

This place was so amazing. The decor was so intriguing and beautiful. The ambiance of the place was relaxing and energizing at the same time. Music and bar in the back patio quad. Great music, not too loud, and great seating. We had dinner on the patio, which were the scrumptious burgers and awesome fries. The warm pretzel was tasty also and so was the Margarita pizza. This would be my hang out spot if I lived here. Highly recommend.

Romeo holds a special place in our hearts because we visited them a little over seven years ago. During that experience (which you can read about in my previous review - if interested), my wife and I had a grand experience with former Business Manager Emma, who administered the delicious tastings. Fast forward to the present, we looked forward to enjoying a glass of their finest red before finding lunch. Upon entering the walkway, we were enthusiastically greeted by an employee named John who quickly ushered us to a vacant table for two. My wife had a slight reaction to the beautiful flowers that were in full bloom. Out of the kindness of his heart, John provided my wife with a bottle of Pure Leaf tea that calmed her allergies. We told John that we were interested in enjoying a glass of red, in which he quickly ran off and returned with a bottle of 2009 Eugenia Cabernet Sauvignon. Upon doing the swirl and sniff test (sounds dirty doesn't it?), I knew that we were in for a treat. Since we were both in dire need of a meal, we sadly could not continue the party. However, we will make a return visit in the near future to enjoy a full tasting experience!

A cozy tasting room, with intimate seating and a really fun selection of wine unlike anything I've ever had. I see a couple of reviews here complaining about party size limits and the timing of final tastings. I unfortunately witnessed the same level of entitlement from a group of 13 people who came in asking to be seated 45 min before closing. First, read the web site. Tasting room rules and requirements have been changing since COVID. This should be nothing new. It was kindly explained to the large group that the tasting room was full, that they only accept small parties, and the last tasting is at 4 pm. Once, that detail was explained to one person in the group, another would ask the same questions and would receive the same answer. Hannah politely declined THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE in the group before their final entitled and 'intimidating tactic': asking Hannah or Alyssa if they were the owners (they are not). The woman declared "we're all business owners and we wouldn't turn away a party of 13 people that could bring money into our business". Good for you, 'Susan'! Tank employees are purely following their business policy, which is clearly stated on their web site and don't run your business. Her final intimidation tactic was to ask for the owner's information-- which she didn't take--and the group finally left. Good riddance. Tank is NOT the winery for you, Other than the experience of yet another group of entitled wypipo ruining the tasting experience of those of us already there, we had a wonderful experience, bought a membership, and will be back again. This is the atmosphere and environment that my partner and I enjoy with the types of kind and knowledgeable employees we love who will smile through all types of garbage shoveled at them with no problem. If folks complaining about arbitrary things had othered to look at the website for specifics, perhaps they'd move on instead of trying to intimidate their way into another situation

The tasting cost $40 for 6 pours, starting with a rose and ending with a Cabernet Sauvignon. I am not very fond of reds but all the ones that were on the tasting menu that day were very good. The rose was my favorite. I was talking to the owner and he mentioned that he prefers to be out making wine instead of pouring and I can see that. Also, the pours were very tiny. There was not much information shared about the wine etc, he left the bottle with the information side turned towards you to read up on your own. The place itself is beautiful and it used to be a hardware store. It's right next to the city hall and across the street from the police station. There is street parking as well as a public parking lot next to the police station. The place is dog friendly and the owner bought out a bowl of water for my baby. Following other footsteps of cult wines that Mr. Brown oversee as winemaker (Schrader, Outpost, just name a few), Rivers Marie and Aston Estate are going to best represent his vision and legacy (in my humble opinion), also perhaps with more emphasis on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir varietals (although not necessarily true as we were able to barrel taste the new Cab and loved it).
