[[HIGHLIGHT]]LAB is an open-air bar and diner where you can eat inside or out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered 2 fish tacos and garlic fries to go. What I received was a fish patty cut in half, and placed naked in a take out box. Also there was a plastic container of cole slaw and a very small plastic container of pico de gallo. In foil there were 2 hot tortillas. Basically I had to assemble the tacos myself. I wouldn't have ordered those had I known. The garlic fries weren't bad and there was a lot of them but the garlic and cheese (I think) were scarce. I was so underwhelmed I forgot to take pics.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Fun little spot in downtown Calistoga.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have specials on food and beer and the prices are very reasonable. Pork belly bites were melt in your mouth delicious and the beers were served in frosted glasses which was great on a hot day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are dog friendly and kid friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's all sort of an outdoor area with roof so no ac but plenty of fans.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Order at the bar and food comes out promptly.

Tried their beers on tap, wings, pizza, and sweet potato fries. All are delicious, reasonably priced, and the service is friendly and efficient. If you're in town, definitely give them a visit!!

This place is awesome. It's not cheap for bbq but boy was it good!!! I wanted to have some local beer so we walked over after our spa day in Calistoga. They had quite a few beers on tap and some bottled/canned as well. My first choice came out about half a glass and then sputtered. Guess it was cashed. The bartender offered to pour me something else but I said it was fine, I'll drink the half beer cuz I probably won't finish a full one anyways. She said to let her know when I was ready for the other half of my beer. Haha. Well, as it turned out, I DID indeed finish my beer. So I asked for a half glass of another local pour. She went ahead and gave me more than half a pour at no charge. What a gal! As for lunch- the bbq was awesome. We had brisket, ribs, beans and fries. We also had a wedge salad which w devoured. Food is a little pricey but I bet all things are in that area. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean bathroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of bar seating, high top seating, outdoor seating etc.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are games outside like corn hole and inside there are board games/card games. They have a few TVs. Interesting decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great spot to stop for lunch and grab a few beers and chill. Would recommend. Service is stellar. Parking along the street.

The food was great here but I have to give it 3 stars because the service wasnt the greatest. We came here Saturday early afternoon for some beers and food and this was actually our first time checking this place out. We sat at the bar and the woman that was working the bar didnt bother to greet us, she just put a few menus down and walked on. At some point she even came over to the only other person sitting at the bar and starting talking to him. Anyways, the food was good, but for being a slow Saturday afternoon it takes kind of long to come out. I watched as a couple waited 30 minutes and they came in to ask about their food. 40 minutes total and the food finally came out. I dont think I'd make a special trip to check this place out again, but if you're local, it seems like a good spot for lunch.

Fried green beans + bonus fried pickles

Decided to pop in for lunch after our wine club pick up at Tank Garage Winery. They are just down the main road (Lincoln) from each other, a few minute drive or just under 10 minute walk. I like that they are set back from the main road--makes it feel more secluded. We sat on the "outside" side of the bar. I put outside in quotes because it is fully covered. We were greeted promptly and started with a round of beers. We also ordered tater tots and fried green beans to share. My friend asked if their fried pickles and someone who seemed to be a manager and/or owner told her they were spears and, since she feels strongly about fried pickles, told him we would pass because she only likes coins, mostly due to her preferred pickle to breading ratio. He insisted that their spears are really good, although she held firm. When we got the fried green beans, low and behold, they were accompanied by three bonus fried pickles. I have to agree that they are indeed really good. I don't know if they were out of flatbread size for their flatbread pizzas and they gave me the "family" size instead, or if they are always that generous although I got a whole dang pizza. It was delicious and I took 3/4 of it home to enjoy later. This is the type of establishment that I think pairs really well as part of a wine tasting adventure and we will certainly return during a future visit.

Lincoln Avenue Brewery is hidden down an ally, off of the main street. Although it's location is slightly inconspicuous, the atmosphere is both inviting and welcoming. It's a great place to enjoy a drink and meal and is also family friendly. We sat at the inside bar and was able to enjoy the weather with their garage open to the outside bar and loved the sound of the rain while being warm with overhead heating. Their mozzarella sticks and friend pickles were delicious and great as an appetizer while we figured out our dinner meal. I enjoyed their BBQ Western burger while my husband ordered their BBQ brisket sandwich. The burger and sandwich was filling, especially after the ordered appetizers. WghqpyWe needed to go boxes because it seemed like our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Grace, our bartender was awesome. She was on her A game that night and was always there to top us off. She was super sweet!

This place is exactly what you want out of a bar/brewery. Great drink menu with details and the food menu was pretty large as well. We got pizza and the tri tip sandwich. I would skip on the pizza but the sandwich was great. The server was great letting us try ciders before deciding what we wanted. Good vibes with sports Playing. Will be back!

    Great Brat!

This place is HUGE! So much seating everywhere!! My only complaint is that we asked for a great view that the hostess liked and she should have warned us she was seating us in the dog friendly patio area. After we had already ordered, some woman had her dog literally laying on top of the table. So that was disgusting. Their whole table was extremely loud and annoying. Other than that, it was a beautiful area. Now on to the food and beer. We ordered a couple beers, what a great price for most! They were ice cold and delicious! For the first appetizer we ordered the riblets (I wish there had been more), they were very tasty. Next we ordered the grilled artichoke- make sure you order this!! What a flavor explosion! So so good. I only wish our two appetizers were warmer, but we didn't let that stop us from devouring them. Then we shared the Russian River cheesesteak and upgraded to the Pliny fries - you must do this! A delicious white cheese fondue on top of fries with jalapeños and Parmesan on top, then dip your sammich in the cheese fondue. Yum yum yummmm! The cheesesteak was very tasty!! Carlos was our server and was very attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed our time here. You can't eat outside but you can take drinks in metal cups to enjoy the scenery out back. Kid friendly.

It wasn't one of those giant bread loaves pretending to be pizza. It was light, perfectly cooked, had just the right amount of crunch, and let the toppings do the talking. That's my experience of Northspur. I've never stopped here with friends, but I've thought of my friends while I've visited. As in, this is a place my friends would really like. And, this: it feels like folks from around these parts that have friends come here with friends, and while they're here from all appearances they have a really good time. They could be faking but I don't think they are. The Willits bypass as observed by others and maybe other places by me was an unnecessary boondoggle that not only separated normal CA taxpayers from their money so as to avoid maybe five minutes extra travel time as they whisked north to ... to where would anyone need to be whisked in the north. I-5 is for whisking. 101 is for a different kind of trip. Not only that, the bypass also then has folks that don't know what's in Willits pass right on by. Their loss, though also a stake in the heart of the vitality of local business. Thanks, legislature, Caltrans and people that make money building things we don't need. Located in the Kenwood Village Shopping Center along the Sonoma Highway in the small wine country community of Kenwood, Palooza Brewery And Gastropub is part brewery, restaurant, and pub and the perfect place to get your bearings straight among all the drinking along the highway. Established since 2014 from owners and chef Jeff Tyler and his wife Suzette Tyler, who started as owners of a few hot dog carts and then a catering company, has turned into one of the few places that wine lovers can stop over for a bite to eat along this particular stretch of the Sonoma Highway. What brought a friend and I here on a warm weekend afternoon was the fact that we were driving around the Sonoma Highway wine tasting our hearts out and were in desperate need of a little sustenance in order to continue our wine tasting journey later on in the day and Palooza Brewery And Gastropub is what first came to mind to visit. There was plenty of parking in the lot businesses in the Kenwood Village can take advantage of and although there were no customers inside of the restaurant when we arrived, we were sat immediately in their covered outdoor patio where we could see their outdoor wood fired pizza oven in all its glory! The menu at Palooza Brewery And Gastropub is separated into categories including Small Plates, Tacos, Salads, Wood Fired Pizza, Plates, Sandwiches, Desserts & Shakes. It was that pizza oven that brought my dining mate to Palooza Brewery And Gastropub and that was what we remained committed to ordering on our visit. With five options, we decided to order their Meat Lovers Wood Fired Pizza which had pepperoni, sausage, bacon, red onion, marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese on a thin bubbly crust. We were going to remain committed to ordering just this entrée, but we decided to also order their Fried Pickles under the small plates section of their menu, which consisted of house made butter pickle slices that beer battered, fried and served with a malt vinegar aioli dipping sauce. The small plate pickles would come out first and this dish was a pleasant surprise as it was the perfect combination of savoriness and sourness with an extra dash of umami thanks to the aioli dipping sauce. Then out came our Wood Fired Meat Lovers Pizza and it was such a satiating meal that multiple people could have enjoyed all the fresh combination meat, sauce, and cheese, but since it was just the two of us dining, we were able to enjoy two slices each and take the rest home in a takeout box. Our total bill was $45.88 with tax before gratuity was added in, which in this area is considered a reasonably priced meal. Even without ordering a libation or sampling one of their brews on tap, we still had a great time at Palooza Brewery and Gastropub. Now that we know this spot exists among the many wineries and tasting rooms in the area, it's nice to have another option when we're looking for a casual place to relax and grab a bite. Their Happy Hour menu, available all day on Sundays and on weeknights from 3-5:30 p.m., makes it an especially appealing stop. Palooza Brewery and Gastropub is the perfect pit stop when you want something tasty without taking a big bite out of your wallet.
