After having a delicious Cab at the nearby Romeo Vineyards and Cellars, my wife and I needed to grab lunch. While perusing the local businesses, we discovered Lincoln Avenue Brewery tucked in a small alley. A bartender by the name of Liza warmly greeted us as we took a seat at the bar. Since we were not terribly hungry at the moment, we ordered the Pork Belly from the appetizer menu. While enjoying the delicious Pork Belly bites, we placed an order for their non-beer options (neither one of us are beer lovers). We ordered the Dust Bowl Brewery Strawberry Margarita seltzer, which is ironically a brewery that is located in close proximity to our home. As we were winding down, we ordered a round of ciders and the three meats-three sides platter for dinner. Our dinner reheated well in our room (we decided to order it as takeout to avoid eating such a messy meal in public) and was quite tasty - even though the macaroni and cheese could have used some seasoning. Went here two days ago with my two friends who have been several times. Late lunch. We all got Fish and Chips which they recommended and I thought it was excellent and that the pricing was outstanding especially for Calistoga. [[HIGHLIGHT]]LAB is an open-air bar and diner where you can eat inside or out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered 2 fish tacos and garlic fries to go. What I received was a fish patty cut in half, and placed naked in a take out box. Also there was a plastic container of cole slaw and a very small plastic container of pico de gallo. In foil there were 2 hot tortillas. Basically I had to assemble the tacos myself. I wouldn't have ordered those had I known. The garlic fries weren't bad and there was a lot of them but the garlic and cheese (I think) were scarce. I was so underwhelmed I forgot to take pics. read more

This place is awesome. It's not cheap for bbq but boy was it good!!! I wanted to have some local beer so we walked over after our spa day in Calistoga. They had quite a few beers on tap and some bottled/canned as well. My first choice came out about half a glass and then sputtered. Guess it was cashed. The bartender offered to pour me something else but I said it was fine, I'll drink the half beer cuz I probably won't finish a full one anyways. She said to let her know when I was ready for the other half of my beer. Haha. Well, as it turned out, I DID indeed finish my beer. So I asked for a half glass of another local pour. She went ahead and gave me more than half a pour at no charge. What a gal! As for lunch- the bbq was awesome. We had brisket, ribs, beans and fries. We also had a wedge salad which w devoured. Food is a little pricey but I bet all things are in that area. The food was great here but I have to give it 3 stars because the service wasnt the greatest. We came here Saturday early afternoon for some beers and food and this was actually our first time checking this place out. We sat at the bar and the woman that was working the bar didnt bother to greet us, she just put a few menus down and walked on. At some point she even came over to the only other person sitting at the bar and starting talking to him. Anyways, the food was good, but for being a slow Saturday afternoon it takes kind of long to come out. I watched as a couple waited 30 minutes and they came in to ask about their food. 40 minutes total and the food finally came out. Decided to pop in for lunch after our wine club pick up at Tank Garage Winery. They are just down the main road (Lincoln) from each other, a few minute drive or just under 10 minute walk. I like that they are set back from the main road--makes it feel more secluded. We sat on the "outside" side of the bar. I put outside in quotes because it is fully covered. We were greeted promptly and started with a round of beers. We also ordered tater tots and fried green beans to share. My friend asked if their fried pickles and someone who seemed to be a manager and/or owner told her they were spears and, since she feels strongly about fried pickles, told him we would pass because she only likes coins, mostly due to her preferred pickle to breading ratio. He insisted that their spears are really good, although she held firm. When we got the fried green beans, low and behold, they were accompanied by three bonus fried pickles. I have to agree that they are indeed really good. I don't know if they were out of flatbread size for their flatbread pizzas and they gave me the "family" size instead, or if they are always that generous although I got a whole dang pizza. It was delicious and I took 3/4 of it home to enjoy later. This is the type of establishment that I think pairs really well as part of a wine tasting adventure and we will certainly return during a future visit. read more

My sister & I were in town last Thur and came here for lunch. We started out with their yummy Fried Green Beans & Ranch dressing $12, followed by an order of delicious Fish Tacos $17. They were served on small flour tortillas which was wonderful. I forgot to ask for no chipotle aioli, but I managed to enjoy it anyways. Lincoln Avenue Brewery is hidden down an ally, off of the main street. Although it's location is slightly inconspicuous, the atmosphere is both inviting and welcoming. It's a great place to enjoy a drink and meal and is also family friendly. We sat at the inside bar and was able to enjoy the weather with their garage open to the outside bar and loved the sound of the rain while being warm with overhead heating. Their mozzarella sticks and friend pickles were delicious and great as an appetizer while we figured out our dinner meal. I enjoyed their BBQ Western burger while my husband ordered their BBQ brisket sandwich. The burger and sandwich was filling, especially after the ordered appetizers. WghqpyWe needed to go boxes because it seemed like our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. Grace, our bartender was awesome. She was on her A game that night and was always there to top us off. Counter order but very speedy and friendly service. I have had the burgers and the pulled pork - both were among the best I've had anywhere in the Bay Area. The burger had a great crust but was super juicy as well. Pulled pork was smoky, tender and delicious. The bbq beans and slaw were perfect side dishes. A huge number of draft beers - both from LAB and other microbreweries. I take friends there when they crave burgers or barbecue and brews and none have ever been disappointed. read more

We had a good time at Lincoln Ave Brewery. It was rainy so inside was quiet. I ordered a brisket sandwich and my partner ordered a tri tip sandwich. Both were solid - a good size and tasty though not exceptional. The fries were really good, crispy on the outside and soft inside. Our friend ordered a vegetarian pizza and it was generous in size and toppings, she only ate half. The food took about 20 minutes to come out. The lady who took our order and served our food was very friendly and so sweet. A good place to stop for a meal. read more

We stumbled upon Lincoln Avenue brewery after picking up some wine at the market nearby. This place is located behind the ice cream parlor and you walk through a side, alley to get to the main brewery. We noticed that it was trivia night, which got me curious to take a look. I think this is one of the local gems around the area, especially given how touristy and expensive Calistoga can get. They have some great selections on tap and we noticed a $10 brat and beer combo, which was much more affordable than anything else around the area. The owners and workers were so kind and friendly, I really enjoyed making small talk with them. The Bratwurst was smoked for several hours, which surprised how much care and attention was put into something so simple. After a long day of winery visits and some overpriced food, Lincoln Avenue was a very welcomed visit. I highly encourage anyone visiting the area who wants a laid-back night with a good brew in your hand to come and visit! read more

We were referred to this sweet little bar from a local couple. When talking to them they said go to the lab, it is great company, good beer, not so good food. As we were walking down the street we saw a sign for "Lincoln Avenue brewing " we sat down at the bar ordered a few beers and some fried pickles. We later put two and two together that Lincoln Avenue brewing is LAB lol. Sad to say the fried pickles were not good in the slightest. They were very thin chips and tasted like they were caked with flour and very old fry oil and way too many seasonings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But the location is awesome. My wife and I stopped in here a few weeks ago during our honeymoon in Calistoga. I'm always in search of local breweries when traveling and I am SO happy that I found this one. Amazing beers on tap (including my favorite Russian River Brewing), delicious food, as well as a very friendly and welcoming staff. They also have a couple of their own brews as well; I started with the 'Dirty Double' double IPA which was awesome. We split their Ruben sandwich with a side house salad. The corned beef was SO tender, every bite was incredible. The house salad was really good; super fresh tasting and great with the balsamic glaze. Shoutout to Rob, Kailee, Melanie, and Mindy for making us feel at home and being a great part of our honeymoon. We will be back! read more

The burger was exceptional today! Cooked to medium perfection with a healthy red in the center. We ordered the burger w/ fries and the corn dog nuggies which was a perfect lunch for us! I can't even describe how delicious the burger was. It was perfectly cooked, juicy with enough bbq sauce to ooze but not so much it was a mess. The entire time we were eating I kept saying how delicious it was. I think it got better with each bite! The fries are coated and also deliciously golden crispy. Corn dog nuggies were everything I wanted them to be. Perfectly crunchy, still had moisture in the batter, good flavor. They hit it out of the park today. Second visit and it was equally delicious if not better today. Perfect ending to an adventure day. Bar menu is broad with plenty of cocktail, beers both in-house and others on tap.
