Received this tiny lightweight pendant that is too light to even hold down the finest chain and the bale is so thin that you cannot actually wear the pendant without fear of breaking. The hole drilled into the pendant is so close to the edge, that again, two wears and it would break through. The icing on the cake is that it is not my father's finger print on the item. It is simply a machine pattern of some kind. My instructions clearly stated that if they were not able to use the digital fingerprints to contact me before processing the order. They have offered for me to return the product so they can remake for an undisclosed higher price, however they will not confirm who's fingerprints were used and if they can even use mine. I packaged it up and dropped it off - It came back. Took it back to the post office and they said it was an incomplete barcode. I contact the seller and requested a new return label. Terrible Experience--Do Not Trust This Company! I have placed three orders between this company and their affiliate, Alivia & Danny, totaling over $1,500. I purchased this pin for my sister for Christmas. The website offers an engraving, and assuming that the area was large enough for the engraving paid an extra $25. What they sent to me was this tiny little pin with an engraving not worth a dime (you can't even read it.) they have refused to refund the $25 so now I will have to leave this review. I advised them to maybe allow only so many letters so this didn't happen to other people but who knows. Same experience as Natasha had below. The purchased item arrived with the engraving microscopic and illegible. The heart shape was also noticeably deformed. Zero quality control. The item should have never been shipped to a customer with such severe defects. Florence at POG.com offered to accept a return but with a 20% re-melting fee or to re-do the engraving for a $20 fee. The customer should not have to pay to fix a defective product. We refused to pay anything more to POG.com. Ultimately the item was re-done and the shape was fixed but the microscopic engraving was repeated. We are embarassed to have to gift this to someone and have to explain what the engraving should read. Poor craftsmanship and we were not satisfied with the customer service. Some details: We ordered a silver pin that offered a custom name and engraving on the back. The webpage for the item allowed 140 characters for the message to be engraved. Our message was under the limit and was thus accepted for the order. *Update* I put this one through the wringer because I wanted to doubly make sure. The locket does not fall open, break, or get damaged during any of my physical activities (Pilates, running, biking, playing with my very large dogs, showering, and sleeping in it). This piece was very important to me as I just lost Bela at a very young age because of epilepsy, and it was incredibly traumatic. Okay so I want to give my take/review on the process and product I received because I do see a LOT of negative reviews here and it had me very worried after I ordered. First off, shipping and creation time? Incredibly fast. A+ for that and when I had questions about my order because I didn't receive the confirmation or order #, Florence got me that info pretty quickly. There was a little hiccup with the address, I'm not sure how it was addressed but it did get to me. As for the actual product, I agree with some of the reviews, HOWEVER, I would like to point out some things I think are confusing. Now I chose sterling silver, because tbh I don't like gold. The nature of silver polished items like this is inherently going to have what looks like scratches, but they aren't, it's just from the smelting and polishing process. Actual scratches? No idea definitely take it up with the business. I *agree* for the price, the construction feels...cheap. BUT, for the waterproof laser engraving for 4 photos? Well worth that price. Some people have written about how "light" it feels, and maybe it's a little light? But I mean, there is nothing IN the locket but laser engravings for me so it's not as heavy as other items I've owned and it doesn't have the bulky accoutrements and designs that usually add to the overall weight. I'm going to chalk it up to it being a simple design. The hinge is pretty loosey goosey for the middle section, but I don't really mind that, so that's going to be a preference thing. I find the clasp to be pretty resilient, I've repeatedly opened and closed it over and over and over to see if it gets loose, holding up pretty well thus far. As for the engraving, I *personally* do not like deep grooved engravings, both my undergrad and law school rings are much more delicate engravings than this and I never take those off. If those can hold up to being worn 24/7 on my hands, I think this engraving will be just fine. I am going to give this 4 stars, because of the shipping, the customer service response, fast creation time, and the extreme benefit of a waterproof, fairly sturdy locket. I don't think if you're looking for something extremely fancy that is meant to be worn once in a while that this is the item for you. But if you, like me, prefer to wear it every day and dislike removing stuff just to shower and then put it back on, or don't want worry about it for every activity, then for sure this is the locket for you. It's simple, it holds up, and the laser engraved photos are a massive plus for me at the price I paid. Not five stars SOLELY for the fact that I haven't seen how it holds up over a period of time. I ordered 3 fingerprint pendants with chains for my nieces and nephew as gifts. The chains are all sterling silver, appear to be good quality chains and I feel they were appropriately priced. I do like the pendant, but it is thinner than I had expected and I paid for double sided engraving. The fingerprint is laser etched but the wording on the reverse side appears to be just printed on and not engraved in. If I would've known I would have just left the back blank. Because fingerprint engraved work is custom, there is no returns. I gave 3 stars because of the sentiment these gifts had and honestly to buy online, sight unseen, they are nice but there should not have been a second charge (x3) for the back term since they were not laser etched in.
