During a work conference, I ordered a delivery of some pizza and a Caprese salad. I can't talk about the location's actual ambiance or seating, but I can definitely mention the food and service. I'll start with the service, even though I ordered online. The problem came when I realized, about two minutes after placing my order, that I forgot to get it gluten free (I have a wheat allergy). I was tired from a long day, and it completely slipped my mind. I called them, told them the issue, and they fixed it for me without a second thought. The guy on the phone was very nice. I had decided to order the "Maryland Crab Cake" pizza and a Caprese salad. The pizza itself was absolute fire! I mean, it was kinda one-note, but if you don't eat crab in Maryland, what are you even doing? I was really thrilled about it. The salad, however, left me a little disappointed. The picture online was not what I got. I expected was what they showed, a caprese: mozzarella, tomato, basil, olive oil, balsamic. What I got was a very large box of spring mix, sliced mozzarella, sliced tomato, and balsamic vinaigrette. It was underwhelming. Not bad, just not what I thought I had ordered. This was not our first choice for a late dinner option but it was late and we wanted to eat. This place caught my eye because of all the vegan options! I mean I have never seen so many vegan options in one place, let alone have a full separate menu! Upon entering, you would think it was a lunch hour or everyone just got out of school. It was after 11pm so it was surprising to see so many kids in there. It was very busy with adults as well. We went up to the counter to order and were shocked to see a full bar as well! The woman who took our order was very enthusiastic and helpful. We ordered a pepperoni pizza for hubs, cheesy bread to share, and a salad for me, all to go. It came out to almost $50! We decided to order a drink while we waited. I really had to use the bathroom and located it after asking. It was tucked behind the bar. As soon as I went in, I noticed there was no toilet paper. I had to use napkins and then there was like maybe a drop of soap left ugh. Hubs was waiting with the food when I came out but my salad was missing so I had to go up to the counter and ask for it. We brought it back to our hotel and ate it there. I honestly don't think the food was flavorful at all and it was not worth packing up to take with us upon checking out the next day. Health: For a pizza place, this place not only has 10 inch options and cauliflower crust, but a variety of vegan and gourmet options as well. Very well done for the cuisine. Price: Decent pricing for what's offered. Compared to the other restaurants around it? Quite good. Experience: Khalil and Karl were great. I showed up in the middle of the night and they chatted with me, helped me, and gave me the food in minutes. Also, very clean. Taste: decent for a pizza place. The key difference was in the control over salt. Very unique for pizza places in how much control was shown. Overall, this is certainly a good pizza place to go to, and being truly open till 2AM means it's a great place to hit up if you're hungry or thirsty at a twilight hour. Pie in the Sky is great for having a large vegan menu, but the pizza itself is just okay. The delivery was very fast though. The large potato wedges were crispy, but lacking a little seasoning. It definitely needed a dipping sauce. The vegan chicken pesto pizza definitely satisfies a pizza craving, but it could use a little more dimension of flavors. Definitely a biased review, but this place really rocked after a night out in Fells. Very walkable from lots of pubs/bars, and open very late. We got cheese pizza and fries, and all were delicious. Lots of space for larger groups, lively energy on a weekend evening. Pretty quick service overall, given they were busy on a weekend night. read more

The pizza is decent but service is kind of disappointing. The fells point pie is good, skip the proscuitto pie. I don't know if it's because we went at 10 pm but the pizza takes a really long time to make and there is zero customer service. They add a 20% gratuity charge without telling you (problematic bc we tipped on top of it) and there's no service?? We go and order and pick it up ourselves like regular take out. Thanks to the owners I'm able to leave an updated review that has slightly changed my opinion of this place. I again ordered through door dash and my food was a little warmer than my last experience. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and 5 honey old bay wings. The wings were very crispy but once you got past the honey, the chicken needed some salt. Yes, you can see the pepper and old bay on the crispy batter but the chicken itself lacks flavor. So make sure you drench it in the honey which there was ample amount of. Now the pepperoni pizza was muchhhh better than my last one. It had more pepperoni's on it this time and the flavor was great. Nice and cheesy and the right amount of saltiness and sweetness from the sauce. The crust was so good! Crunchy but soft. I would definitely order this again!! read more

This spot is a local gem. There's a bar, but it's definitely a place you pop into after a long night out or to grab takeout on a comfort night. The service is straightforward, they don't try too hard to impress. They are respectful and friendly. It's usually empty when I go, I've yet to see it when it is packed. There's high tables and chairs for you to eat at, in addition to the bar. My only complaint is that each time I've visited here, the Parmesan/chili flake shakers weren't refilled. Don't know if that's just a late night thing. The wedges were good, and they have plenty of dipping sauce to choose from. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. Seasoned. Taste: 10/10. They had our order out quickly and all of the staff was very pleasant, especially considering how busy they were at that time. Loved the sauce and the toppings. The crust was good but a bit too thick around the edges in my opinion - however the crust was delicious. The pie was a little too salty for my taste but it didn't ruin it. The first two times I got this pizza was great, the tiramisu was a real mess & wouldn't order it again( bit pricey for the lack of quality). The tired time I got the regular crust as I haven't been getting a thin & ( should have been) crispy crust. The regular crust was disappointing but it was covered with pepperoni ( which we don't like) & no extra or feta cheese. Uber Eats refunded My money. This time I got the right toppings but not only was the thin crust not crispy but it was so soggy it was liquid in places. Extensive Vegan menu! The vegan Cesar's Salad was delicious and sizable for the "smaller." The vegan pizza are tasty. But, they are pricey: $17- 20 for 10 inch and $27- 30 for 14 inch. The place itself is "not fancy" to say the least: older Fell's Point bar atmosphere, paper plates/plastic forks and water glasses. Also, they automatically add 10% to all take out orders and 20% "gratuity" to all eat in orders, regardless of the service. The service was good and we would give our usual 20%. But, to have it automatically added (esp for "I call in, I drive and park to pick up myself) is disappointing. While the food was good, our server and service was less than friendly, and the overall comment was that our server Karl was not interested in anything other than taking our order and bringing us our food. Not even a smile. Equally important, be aware that the establishment adds a late night 20% gratuity charge to your tab, and while it may be on the menu, they also present the tab to you with an additional "Suggested Tip" from 25% to 15%. So if you are not paying attention, or familiar with their business model, there is a high probability you will significantly over tip. This happened to me, and I noticed this oversight several days after the fact and upon my returning to GA from my visit to Baltimore. As such, I called the establishment to request their assistance in possibly correcting the oversight of and additional $26.00 tip. Unfortunately I was not successful, and was met with somewhat of a dismissive attitude by the establishment representative, and that it was my oversight, and therefore did not see any problem. So be it, While we all make honest oversights, and having been in the service industry for decades, I have often made efforts to assist where there is no negative impact to anyone. It seems simply the right thing to do. Not so by 'Pie In The Sky" standards. Also worth noting, the evening prior to my dinning experience at Pie In The Sky, I had been to a restaurant where a similar business model was used, yet the difference in the experience was the server pointed out the gratuity was already calculated and included in the total when presenting the tab. It was everything! My friend ordered a regular pepperoni pizza but couldn't stop eating mine. The flavors were out of this world. Perfect amount of both cheeses and spices. Next time I'll get it with extra sauce because when I heated my leftovers up in the oven at home, the pizza got a little dry. Still very, very flavorful! I had no intentions on ordering anything else but on the menu the wings are advertised as "Baltimore's Best Baked Wings - Garnished with Italian Herbs and baked to perfection". They had all the regularly flavored sauces: Buffalo, Honey Old Bay, Garlic Parm, Lemon Pepper, and a few others. I opted for the Honey Old Bay. I didn't open the bag of wings up until I got home. If I tried them while dining inside, I would have sent them back. They were the plainest Honey Old Bay wings I've ever had, drenched in honey, maybe one shake of Old Bay.
