The Pear and Almond tart didn't last long enough to take a picture. 3 bites later, I was tempted to go back for more. It tasted like a mouthful of spring & summer. Refreshing and delicious. The coffee selection felt kind of slim, but was enjoyable. I wasn't able to get my first choice because it wasn't on the menu (not what you'd expect out of a café), but I went with the Aussie Iced Coffee and was not disappointed. In love with these pies! The best savory pie I've had in the US. They are so hearty with plenty meat in them. Most chicken pies you get lack depth and not enough substance. The crust is fantastic too! Pie made to perfection. Their quiche is incredible as well. You will not be disappoint. They sell hot ready to eat or frozen to heat later. I will definitely be back! Love this spot! It's a little hidden so keep your eyes peeled for the sandwich board! It's small and humble but their pies are delicious, both savory and sweet pies. Really hoping that they grow and thrive. I usually get the curry hand pies and sometimes soup. The crust is always a nice balance of flaky and not too sweet. In my opinion, crust is everything when it comes to pie! The price points are a little high for Easton, but I think it's hard to really balance labor and food costs, so makes sense. Disclaimer: Haven't visited their storefront, only had their pie. ...and I am obsessed. I had what I think was called an oatmeal black bottom pie? Definitely a great one for a dark chocolate fans -- dense chocolate bottom layer with a pecan pie-like gooey middle, topped with rolled oats, wrapped in that irresistible wide-waved flaky crust (which I would eat straight with basically anything, sweet or savory). I ran into Pie & Tart at the Easton Farmer Market. In Easton for business. Bought the "Summer Vegetable Soup." I like soup. But I don't particularly like vegetables or vegetable soup, so not really sure why I decided to buy it. But these people looked like they knew what they were doing, so I ignored myself. Thank God I did! It is absolutely amazing. Also bought a "Sothern Tomato Pie." Haven't gotten into that yet! I was saving it for the void that would exist in my life once the soup is finished. Now I learned that they have a shop, and my anxiety has eased. There are more amazing pies to be had. You should check this place out. These people do know what they are doing! read more

Stop what you are doing and go buy yourself lunch at Pie + Tart. Like, do it right now. First time here. Looks very unassuming and you can miss the Pie Hole very easily. I parked right next to it by circumstance and still had to look for it. The ladies are a delight. They were having their 80's music day and singing along. I could have stayed there all day chatting. I was tempted to ask for an apron so they could put me to work. But...the goods! Oh my! My original plan was to purchase a full size Beef Bourginon pie for dinner because kids are everywhere tonight and who wants to cook? I learned that full size pies are only available Thursday thru Saturday. That's okay...an excuse to go back. I got several small pies that will suit the tastes of my children and some sausage rolls and pop tarts. As I was standing there, I knew I had to have something NOW. I had them heat up a spinach and artichoke hand pie which I devoured before even vacating my parking spot. Soooo good. Portions look small for the hand pies but they are very filling. I am still stuffed. I can't believe this place has been in existence for 5 years without me discovering it. I am usually the Queen of off the beaten path places. This lovely little shop has quickly become a family favorite for savory quiches and hearty pot pies - perfect for a quick lunch or takeout dinner. The crusts are beautifully flaky and tender, and the flavor and the texture of the quiche filling may well be the best I've had anywhere. Sweets are also awesome. So far, between me, my family and my neighbor, we've tried a maple custard pie, a raspberry peach tart, a shaker lemon pie and an apple turnover. Absolutely LOVED almost all of them. (Family verdict on the shaker lemon pie was "not a reorder" due to the texture and flavor of the rinds - but to their credit, the friendly staff had clearly described the pie to me, with a gentle warning that it was pretty intense.) The petite size of the shop makes it ideal for takeout rather than dining in, but if one or two people wanted to eat their goodies right away, there's a tiny area off to the side. All in all, it's a fabulous addition to downtown Easton's ever-expanding food scene. Most of all, as winter descends, I am really grateful to have a new go-to spot for hot, quick lunches! read more

WOW....We went for the first time on Sunday for a sweet treat and were blown away with the quality and flavors beyond compare. It's a quaint wee place with Old English Charm (memories of my many family holidays to North Wales and the small bakeries we frequented there). Unable to decide what one item to try, and how can anyone with such a delectable array, we opted for four different delights. The chicken curry pie was amazing. A delightfully mild curry with large chunks of chicken with a soft taste of almond running through it. Completely different then any curry pie I have ever had prior. The sweet potato and black been roll was just as wonderful and again nothing like what the name suggests. A wonderful taste of sweetness, but not overly sweet, with the creamy taste of the beans making it almost dessert like. The children loved the Almond Joy pie which again didn't kill the taste buds with sugary taste but rather a decedent chocolate flavor with a lingering hint of coconut aftertaste sending me back to my time working in the Caribbean. And to top everything off we HAD to try the Lemon Meringue pie....... a wonderfully tart punch of citrus with an amazing pie crust to go along with the creaminess of the filling, delightful. One thing that shone through, other then the love and quality that was present in each choice, was the crusts were AMAZING on each and every item we chose. The owners were super friendly and fun to talk to........there was not much left in the warm case because it was the afternoon, but a local Australian chef actually bought me one of their Australian hand pies.....it was to die for!!!! The women who run this place are awesome and friendly. The selection is vast. I bought a quiche and just ate a slice. Filling was spinach and custard was lucious and tasty. My boyfriend and I have now visited twice and have not been disappointed! Although they have a small selection of goods, I think it is varying enough that everyone will have something they may like! Their strawberry & rhubarb turnovers were delicious (coming from someone who had never eaten rhubarb before)! We have yet to try one of their savoury selections but they always look good! It is quite a small shop but they have little white stools inside for you to bring outside the shop if you want to sit. The ladies that work here are also so very kind! I love everything about Pie and Tart! I am so glad I didn't feel like baking this Thanksgiving because I picked up a pumpkin pie and pear frangipane tart, and they were absolutely phenomenal. So much better than my own pumpkin pie, which I thought was really good! We were lucky enough to share a lemon curd tart our friends bought, and it was hands down the best lemon dessert we've ever had.
