My wife, my mother-in-law, and our niece came here on a rainy Saturday morning around 10am. It was busy due to being rainy and cold, so we waited about 30 mins for a table. The wait staff was attentive and the hostess/waitress kept everyone who came in on a list. The grill was pumping out food like crazy. It was busy but it wasn't loud and the music wasn't blaring. The wait didn't feel long at all. Once we sat, we ordered immediately since we had looked at the menu while waiting for a table. Our food came out within 10 mins at most. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious! The pancakes were fluffy and delicious and the omelets were great as well. Get the homefries, they are worth it! When I stayed in the area for a friend's birthday weekend, we came to this cute spot for brunch. It was quite a popular breakfast spot but we only waited about half an hour for a table indoors, which gave us time to check out the downtown area. We were able to get booth seating, which is my favorite. I ordered the Madre Stir Fry with toasted everything bagel and cream cheese. I also just had to try the baby chocolate chip pancake. Hey, I was hungry! The Madre Stir Fry consisted of eggs, bacon, red onion, tomato, home fries, and cheddar cheese. There was a decent amount of most the ingredients, especially the bacon and cheese. I could have used more home fries and veggies throughout though. The egg was cooked well and had a nice consistency. I really enjoyed the bacon, which were wonderfully crispy, with plenty of flavor. The potatoes were seasoned to perfection with a satisfying crunch. The cheese was melty and mouthwatering, especially combined with everything else. I was particularly impressed by the buttermilk pancakes made from scratch. They were incredibly thick, fluffy, moist, and buttery with tons of real, quality chocolate chips melted and sprinkled on top, along with powdered sugar. So delicious that it didn't even need maple syrup, but I added some anyway because I'm extra like that. The service was excellent throughout our time here. We were made to feel welcome and take my care of. The prices were also very reasonable, which is part of the reason I ordered so much food! I'm glad we found this spot to try. read more

We had finished a visiting tour of Lafayette College and came across this place on Yelp. Since we had our dog with us, we were able to find out in advance that they could place a table and chair for outdoor seating. I believe our waiter (maybe the owner) name is Bill. He was very accommodating and tended to our requests. My wife had a cup of mushroom curry soup to start. Wow that was the first time we had it and the flavor is so rich. She had the create your own comprised of corn beef hash, pepper and onions. I had the Frankie which was a pressed sandwich of ham, fried eggs, spinach and mustard and came with chips and pickle or carrot. The sandwich was really good and everything tasted spot on. My son had the Bill's Favorite which was a 6oz steak with mushroom and Swiss cheese on sourdough bread. It looked and tasted wonderful. Based on today's visit, we would highly recommend. read more

Awesome breakfast, wife had French toast with home fries said it was excellent, I had the El Diablo omelet and it was excellent loved the homemade salsa, also had the home fries crispy on the outside nice and soft on the inside. Probably the best place for breakfast in Easton. The offerings are all unique and all delicious! I love the fried egg Reuben and the frittatas are all awesome. They always have specials like cinnamon bun pancakes and a specialty sandwich. It can get crowded so go early! The service is usually good as well and the servers will help with your order if you have questions. Street parking can be limited but there's a garage nearby too. read more

I just visited the State Cafe and Grill fit the first time. I plan to return hopefully many times in the future. Such a positive vibe, excellent food, and I like the fact the grill is right in the center, almost like a performance. I had the Marion with home fries and sourdough toast. Those home fries are like the wonderful home fries I remember from my teenage years serving lunch in a forest lunch camp to a private club. So good! And the omelet right right on. Coffee was great too. My waitress friendly and considerate, and (I think) the owner who came over and spoke with me. He was happy to hear my comparison of the home fries and I told him a little about growing potatoes (they source locally and it makes a difference). A nice Thursday morning, the city street sweeper just passed by and we had a great parking spot. First time here, heard great things and they were all true. Our booth was clean and we were greeted by our waitress and our coffee was at our table right away. I had the Steel City omelette Smoked Bacon, Caramelized Onion, Tomato, Mushroom and Smoked Gouda Cheese and home fries, Sourdough bread. My wife had build your own omelette with sausage, mushrooms and Swiss cheese, home fries. Marble rye bread. Made fresh and the portions were great, the flavor was perfect. The room is decorated with different photos, magazine covers and much more. The kitchen is the center of the room. The service was outstanding, friendly and as busy as they were, time to talk and make sure everything was fine with all their customers. I have lived in Easton for over 15 years and just now stumbled upon this amazing brunch establishment! The atmosphere is so welcoming from the minute you walk in. There is a bar top seating where you can watch food be cooked in front of you while you wait, or table seating comfortable for small tables or large groups. The menu has something for everyone including vegetarian options for those who need it. I myself ordered the southwest hollandaise which was incredibly delicious! The hollandaise sauce on top had a flavor so unique that certainly complimented the homemade cornbread and bacon marmalade. My fiancé had the breakfast burrito and my mom got an omelette, both were satisfied with their choices as well! I can definitely see this being more crowded on the weekend, but it's well worth the wait! read more

The Benedict is two pieces of cornbread with bacon marmalade topped with chipotle hollandaise topped with two perfectly poached eggs. Chose the home fries and you have the perfect mixture of sweet, spicy, savory, and smoky. Usually, I'm very picky. I love to cook and I expect a lot when I go out. This place hit it out of the park. Service was pleasant and attentive. The menu had many different selections and seemed vegetarian and vegan friendly. Visited the area and stopped at this spot for breakfast two days in a row! Friday morning was way less busy than Saturday brunch time which made service a bit lack there of... My bf and I both tried the same meal both times and noticed the difference in sizes of our meals (Friday's portion was bigger than Saturday's portion). I guess that was due to staffing and how busy they were on Saturday. Nonetheless, food was absolutely amazing. The omelette was stuffed with the perfect amount of filling, hashbrowns nice and crispy, and the sourdough bread was soft and fluffy! My bf loved the stir fry and we both loved how fluffy the pancake was. The coffee is amazing too. I definitely recommend this place and would totally return. I really wanted to try the SOUTHWEST HOLLANDAISE the second day, but they don't serve it after 12 noon which was a bummer. read more
