They have a monopoly in Davidson County and the service is terrible and unreliable. The customer service is HORRID! The internet goes down and they do nothing. When you call the idiots that are supposed to be technical support say "Yes we have an outage and we're working on it but have no idea when it will be back on". The worst internet and cable company Ive ever had. Cant stream tonight because the show stops, skips and sometimes just wont play while streaming. The cost for only 100mebt is the same price that spectrum charges for 300mgbt. When you tell them this they will say well thats because they provide service to rual areas...BULLSHIT!!! This company is the one that handles cable & internet services in what my mom terms "podunk." She describes this one as a "mom & pop" cable company. Their service and experience with them has been fine. They took care of an issue my mother had with the cable box in my room and I had no problems with it during my stay. You can also pay your bill here after hours in their convenient drop box. read more

We have had cable and Internet through Piedmont for many years now. The prices and speed are good for this area. Both services rarely go out and if they do it's usually due to an area wide outage or a storm. Those have been pretty few and far between fortunately. The times we have had to call to have a tech sent out, the company has always been polite and prompt. Usually they arrive within an hour, sometimes less, and the gentlemen doing the work are ally's professional and courteous. I don't think you could ask for anymore from a small town company. They really are great and are quick to get any issues you may have solved. read more

This cable company wannabe SUCKS! It is NOT a reliable cable/ internet company. The price you pay for cable and internet is not worth it based on the extreamly poor cable and only 25meg download speed internet you get. If you have the oppertunity to go with Spectrum do it. I paid the same price for digital cable and 100mg download internet with Spectrum as I do with this shitty company and I have analog cable and 25mg download speed for internet. I can barely stream netflix without it having to constantly buffer throughout the whole movie. If there were negitive numbers to rate these losers I would rate them a -5. read more

This is the worst ISP I've ever had or experienced. I'm forced to get my internet from them because they're the only ISP that can get internet to my house and they have the faultiest equipment of any ISP I've ever seen. Any evening or prime time to use internet you're lucky to get anything to play without buffering even on the lowest quality connected via Ethernet. Constant drops happen everyday where you will have 5 minutes of working internet then 15 minutes of 1000+ ms ping which is unusable for anything other than loading webpages which even is sluggish on 1 second ping. They need to update their equipment and plans to something at least comparable to 2010 because as it stands I could get dial-up in 1998 and have better service. Don't use Piedmont communications unless you absolutely have to like I do and if you do I apologize in advance for the annoyances and price gouging. read more

So far, after moving from Tyro (Spectrum Service) to Reeds, (Piedmont Service), in the later part of last year, we see how much better much service we had prior to moving here. We have investigated alternate means of Receiving Internet Service, but it seems that Reeds Piedmont has that all blocked except for Dish which they have no control over as it is not provided by any wire or cable. Fairly frequent outages of Internet, Cable TV or both are a constant reminder we don't have Spectrum any more. There we had 300 MIPS of speed and rarely if ever an interruption or failure of service. Now why can't Piedmont compete with that? They sure charge like it, they should have the revenue just like Spectrum and should be able to provide the same service or service just like theirs. I have had them for several years and never had a problem with them. The reception is great and doesn't go out during storms like my previous DTV did all the time. Internet is fast and I never had a problem with that either. The few times I needed service- they were right on it. read more
