I had a respiratory infection of some sort and was given a chest X-ray along with a comprehensive exam. I was prescribed an antibiotic and sent home and fully recovered within a week after the visit. The check-in was quick and efficient, my waiting time in the lobby was very short and I was quickly seen and assessed by the nurses and doctor. My second visit was last week, and I initially thought I had a simple cold. After almost 10 days and not getting any better, I went to urgent care. I received the same comprehensive treatment and was diagnosed with a sinus infection. Again, everything from checking in to being seen, X-rayed, and diagnosed was very quick. Everyone there was very kind and professional. The facility is modern, very clean, and well laid out. They seem to have everything available to treat most minor to moderate illnesses and injuries short of being a full emergency room and hospital.

During my visit on 03/25/2026, I noticed that the front desk staff now bear much of the burden for explaining confusing new billing practices -- which, frankly, isn't fair to them or to patients. If the facility has switched to a new NPI number or changed how they bill insurance, that should be made clear before the appointment, not after. My insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield IBX) listed this location as in-network, with coverage at 80/20, but suddenly the bill came through under "Well Street," which is out-of-network for me and dropped my coverage to 60/40. For seniors like myself, that's a significant financial hit that we aren't prepared for, especially when we go out of our way to find in-network care. To make matters worse, patients are now required to put a credit card on file or they won't be seen. This feels less like healthcare and more like a trap -- you arrive expecting coverage and clarity, but end up caught off guard by expensive changes and policies that weren't disclosed in advance. I hope the management reconsiders these practices and starts treating their patients with the transparency and respect we deserve.

I called and they wouldn't put it thru. Later I got a bill after a year of being seen and it wasn't even correct! They had overcharged me and I went in and spent over an hour teaching the woman basic math to correct the mistake. Then I saw a copy of the bill and they had written horrible things about me on the bill!!! I was horrified you'd think they would have more compassion for a single Christian woman not from the area trying to help her son and not throw her money away do to not having efficient people. Don't be an outsider from out of town as you will not be welcomed. They will judge you. Then they claim to be Christian with their holier than though music. Only bad experience was a man who was new at Decatur I believe he might have been a nurse and he was checking me in at front desk. Was by far the ugliest encounter I have ever had at a doctor's office. Immediately he was handled and I never saw him again at either location. Pretty sure he was let go. I have extremely rare condition which causes rare subset conditions that most doctors pass off on me as "difficult". The Doctors here and their P.A.'s have always gone the mile for me and it has made a difference in my overall quality of life and care. The care quality generated mixed feelings, on one side, the Assistant Physician, seemed to know…read morewhat she was doing, to some extent. I was "diagnosed" with a sciatic problem but with some prescription the pain could be eased. When the time to wrap up came she left and sent the Medical Assistant to inform me that a urine sample of was needed to discard a kidney infection, but I was not able to provide such sample at that moment, so I offered her to give me a recipient so I did not need to wait there all the time. The answer was that I needed to wait for a decision on that. After 20 minutes the Assistant physician came back and told me that my option was accepted. I asked if she had sent the prescription to my pharmacy but the answer was no. She needed to complete the visit once I came back with the sample. One hour later, I was able to produce the sample she asked for and her verdict was that no kidney infection was found in their lab. So I asked why she did not send the prescription before since the sciatic problem, I could have gotten the medication and taken it but in the meantime the my excruciating pain did not ease. To confirm, I asked if she was a Dr because I am not sure about what her title meant. She replied three times with the same question, that I asked to confirm that I had not been cared for by a physician. She got very upset and told me that a report was going to be filled with her physician and left the room.I left after her and asked what was going to happen with the prescription and the answer was that since I am leaving there is no prescription to be filled. The paperwork when you check in is full of repeated questions, even in the same page on one of the forms. That process cost me 20 minutes. The assessment performed for the diagnostic some other 20 minutes plus another 20 waiting for the approval of my plan to do not wait in the office. All that time, since 0930AM till noon and came back home with the same pain and threat to fill up a report just because that person probably realized that something was not done the right way. Won't be there and won't recommend this office.
