Was craving pizza so ordered takeout from Pieducks on Sunday evening. Went with a Medium Cheese Pie and the Garlic Bread Sticks. Quality While Pieducks can definitely satisfy a pizza craving, it is not a place I would see myself frequenting. Pieducks uses a traditional brick oven for its pizza, which I feel always sounds like it will be better than it actually ends up. The Medium Cheese Pie we ordered was decent, but the major problem was it was far too greasy. Every time you pick up a slice a pool of grease was sitting in its place and because of it the crust got soggy fast. The Garlic Bread Sticks were very strange as some pieces were covered with cheese and garlic and others were just barren. I did enjoy the garlic and ranch dressing it came with and it works great with the pizza. Quantity The Medium Cheese Pie is 12 inches and was enough for two people to share. The Garlic Bread Sticks came in a small container with about twelve pieces. Value My biggest issue with Pieducks was that it was too expensive for what it was. It is definitely closer to a chain level of pizza quality than a gourmet pizza shop, but followed the more expensive cost structure. A plain pie at 12 inches was over $13 and the Garlic Bread Sticks cost an almost outrageous $9. Ambiance Pieducks is located in Brickell along a stretch of bars and restaurants below an apartment building. The restaurant itself is almost a completely blank canvas. Aside from the large brick oven in the far corner the walls are empty and the space is cavernous. The high ceilings and the very few tables do not make it feel like a place you would want to actually sit and enjoy your pizza. There was also no music playing and no televisions. Considering it is pizza that is time sensitive with its quickly forming grease pools, making a more comfortable setup would likely improve the quality that people experience. They did have two tables outside, but no shade would likely drive people away from that as well. Crowd I was the only person in the restaurant, but considering it is primarily takeout and delivery that should not come as a surprise. Service The pizza was ready exactly on time and the cashier had it set to go, not much else to say about that. Parking It was not difficult to grab a street spot along the same stretch of road as the restaurant. I would recommend bringing someone with you if you grab takeout in case you need to park illegally for a second while you run in. Extra Pieducks did not impress me with their food, but it was the prices that were the real issue. While the pizza was greasy, it was still passable and I did enjoy it with the sauce from the bread sticks. But it costs way too much for what it actually is. Also, do not expect to eat at the restaurant, they did not really set up for a dine-in option. read more

Wow... Pieducks didn't leave me feeling too ducky. The place itself is pretty nice. Though when I went for a late lunch there was not another soul inside. You walk up to the counter to order and they bring the food to your table. Not a bad system. Was meaning to try it out for awhile because it is close to work. No pizza by the slice. So they are going for the sit down, dine in crowd. The 12" pies are all about 13-18 dollars which in my book is steep for pizza for lunch. I went with the plain cheese pie to see what they can do with simple ingredients. Didn't take long, again only one customer, and it came out looking tasty. And it was. Nice gooey cheese. Not over spiced red sauce so you could taste the tomatoes. The crust was pretty good. I enjoy it. Why only 2 stars? Well for the money there are plenty of other better pizza places at Brickell. If you want cheap you can walk down the street and get to slices (about 1/2 the volume of a Pieducks pie) and a coke for 6 bucks. If you want gourmet you can walk down the street and get a truly delectable pie for just a touch more money. That being said, I haven't seen a pizzeria that takes the organic and local issue as serious as this pizzeria in Miami. However I still think more ingredients should be sourced locally - imagine our Florida fresh grown tomatoes made into a delectable pizza tomato sauce! Oy, when will that day come? Deep Forest Pie was good, tasted fresh and was tasty. The dessert, cheesecake topped with "natural Guava Sauce" was just okay, largely because I don't think they made the plain cheesecake from scratch. The sauce was also surprisingly thick. You could say I've tried almost every pizza joint in Miami and its surroundings, and this little place by my house just made it to the top of my list. BRICK OVEN!!!, I think that says it all, superb pizza, quality ingredients and generous toppings. I think the location might hurt them a little bit, but I don't really know just how much. Sitting right next to real estate offices might not be such a good idea. After trying this and a couple of other places, there is absolutely no reason to order from those other generic franchises. The pizza was good. Not great. I just wasn't really wowed by my bite into it. I had sausage on mine. It definitely wasn't any better than the sausage you get at Domino's. One of the other reviewers pointed out two downsides that I also experienced: crust not crispy enough and overall very salty. The place is nice inside, and the staff was friendly. I was impressed by their online ordering capabilities and the general timeliness and organization of the place. Why this place has less than 4.5/5 stars is really a mystery to me. This isn't based on one experience but repeated orders. This pizza is sooooo yummy! It's just the right balance. The toppings are generous and flavorful but they don't overdo to the point that you're cradling yourself in a corner from a food colma and hour later. Deep forest pie... Wow. Even pre-paid it thinking that spending $447. on 14 pizza 2 salads and breadsticks would be incentive?! Now Kevin who I spoke to assured me the earliest I could get the order was 11:45 AM. Pieducks was my go to pizza joint. I fell in love in 2015 when they ordered it at work one day. Throughout the years I've brought multiple family and friends to eat there with me and they loved it! I'm always talking about it. Even when I moved away from Miami and visited, the first place I would visit is Pieducks. Now I recently moved back. I asked a friend to join me to get some pizza. We got there around 7 pm. All the lights were off inside. There wasn't a sign on the door saying it was closed or anything! The Pieducks signage was still there. I decided to call, just in case. They answered! I was placed on hold for about ten mins, my friend called at the same time. They told her that they moved locations, somewhere else in Brickell with a different name. What they failed to mention was that we had to find parking because there was none near the location. Once we got inside, we noticed the size difference. We saw stale looking pizza sitting on the counter. All the employees but one were new. I knew them all at the original location. We asked if there was still a brick oven and they said no. We saw the toppings and they didn't look as fresh as before. We asked if there were any notifications that they were moving locations and they said no. They also told us they moved since December and didn't even update their website. I was disappointed and saddened. Very unprofessional that they didn't inform their customers they were moving. They could've at least posted a sign on the door stating they moved to a new location. If you want boring, mundane pizza, go here. RIP to Pieducks. read more

"Pieducks" has to be the stupidest name since "Racist McRapist's House of Murder and Pizza" for a pizzeria. If the owner's name was Tom Pieducks or some shit I'll understand, otherwise, what the hell? I've never set foot in this place so I can't comment on that, however I have ordered delivery a few times. This is, flat-out, the best pizza I've ever had delivered. Spris and Anthony's don't deliver, as far as I know, and even if they did I'm sure they don't deliver to Brickell. This has become my new favorite place for a pie, and the fact that they have online ordering which allows me to add delivery instructions in limerick form help their cause. The last pizza I ordered from them was pepperoni, and I made sure to include a reference to the Holocaust, Sharon Tate, and Blues Clues in my limerick. The confirmation email didn't include the delivery instructions section though, it had a blank space. I don't know if it's just a bug in the emailer or if they didn't receive it. I must investigate this further. Their pizza uses the typical pizza ingredients; dough, tomato sauce, cheese, and oregano. In addition to the standard toppings they include a topping called "motherfucking awesome" which is an obscure little substance enjoyed in moderation and naturally produced in testosterone-driven fictional characters like John McClane, Jason Bourne, The Goddamn Batman, Frank Martin, and Jesus Christ: The Hebrew Hammer. Always order your pizza with motherfucking awesome, otherwise you're better off trolleying your ass to Little Caesar's and dropping a five on a "pizza." Those were hipster sarcasm bunny-ear quotes I just used. Originally I found this place through Google. First I Googled for "non-shitty brickell pizza delivery" but that didn't turn up anything useful. Oddly enough, the fourth result is my Yelp profile. I'm serious. Then I lowered my standards, removed the prerequisite "non-shitty", and went with "brickell pizza pie delivery, motherfucker" to give Google a piece of my mind. The first result was Pieducks. I was like "no, this is stupid" but I didn't feel like refining my search terms once more so I settled. I'm glad I did. The first time I bit into this pizza I was in my boxer-briefs watching an episode of Veronica Mars on Netflix. Fact: I would eat my own infected appendix in exchange for a reach around from Kristen Bell. Anyway, I'm drinking my Guinness, I take a bite out of that pizza, and the taste was so good I stopped thinking about Kristen Bell looking like this (http://kaboommagazine.com/userfiles/KristenBell.jpg) for about 4 seconds. Fantastic pizza in Brickell but away from the bad traffic and crowds. This place is so good on so many levels. After reading several reviews on Yelp, most recently Preston C's I knew I had to sample the slices. I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to find the place empty but the delivery person shuffling in and out so I new this place was popular. I grabbed a menu settled on a simple pepperoni and some garlic bread, ordered at the counter and then took a seat. It's worth mentioning that as I was waiting to order I noticed they were just making fresh dough and so expect a just made pie. If I had not been there with someone else I would have busted out my laptop and gotten to work as this place is ideal for a lunch with the laptop. I agree it has a quiet, cold feel but it's also airy and peaceful. The garlic bread arrived quickly but it was slightly burnt, nothing too major but enough to notice. A few later the main event arrived and Yelp scores again! as these yelpers had led me right. The pizza was delicious and not greasy or heavy. A medium is more than satisfying for two people and leaves you a few extra slices for later. All the things I had heard about it were true; this pizza is definitely worth all the raves. As true college students, we played fatty and ordered a large pie. We couldn't decide, so we had a Half & Half. One side was the Margherite and the other their Ole (the artichokes were so good!), and we finished the entire thing. I like how they gave us a little sample container of their locally grown organic baked basil, it definitely enhanced the slices. 4 stars for the pizza, 1 star for Pieducks' service. Last Saturday night, we ordered pizza from Pieducks. My wife called and placed the order ordering a medium BBQ chicken pizza and a large cheese pizza. We were assured that the order would be ready in 20 minutes. To provide Pieducks with sufficient time, we arrived almost 40 minutes later. When I arrived to pick up the pizza, I paid and was told my pizza was ready for pick up. I stood there for an additional 5 minutes before asking what was happening with the pizza. The manager then returned with one of the two pizzas and looked at me strangely about the missing second pizza. The manager then proceeded to argue with her employees in Spanish asking where the second pizza was. The arguing continued for an additional 10 minutes while I sat there waiting for the pizza. I couldn't understand the confusion. It was mind boggling to me that the manager continued to argue with her employees about the missing pizza instead of just having them making a new one. I witnessed several pizzas from inception to completion which took about 6-8 minutes, all less time then the employees at Pieducks spent arguing for who was to blame for not making the missing pizza. Finally, we requested what appeared to be the next cheese pizza that came out of the oven and they agreed to give it to us. Sorry for whoever was waiting for their pizza that we took. Despite ordering 40 minutes prior to arriving, I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the order to be completed. When I asked for a discount for having to wait, the manager shot me down and didn't even offer an apology for their disorganization. The pizza itself, was pretty good. The BBQ chicken pizza had plenty of flavor and there was no shortage of chicken. The cheese pizza was also very good. With most pizza places in the Brickell area offering only Italian "Napoleon" style pizza, Pieducks had the opportunity to be my normal NYC style go-to pizza spot. HORRIBLE experience. When my pizza came to my door 45 minutes after I ordered it, it was cold and the toppings (mushrooms and green peppers) were raw on it. When I picked up a slice of pizza the toppings just fell off. I called to complain and they said they would send over another pizza right away. After an hour I called back and they said they got busy and they wouldn't be able to deliver my pizza for another hour and a half. When I said that I couldn't wait that long the girl said she would just refund me the money. I'm very picky with my pizza these days. The older I get the more I demand and expect perfection (funny how age makes you appreciate the good things, right?) Pieducks does not serve perfect pizza, but it comes pretty darn close. I usually order pick-up because this place is dangerously close to my house. Not to mention that delivery takes ridiculously long! The only problem I have with them is that their pizza is hit or miss sometimes. Sometimes it's so greasy that it makes their dough super soggy. I personally prefer a crispier dough. Maybe I should start asking for "extra crispy" when I call? Otherwise their ingredients are always very fresh. This used to be my go to pizza place in Brickell. Unfortunately, the quality of the pizza and the service provided by Pieducks staff has significantly dropped over the past year. I'm sad to say I'll have to find a new pizza place. Quality: The "Lisboa Pie" used to be amazing. It used to come fully loaded with ham, olives, onion, boiled eggs and a crunchy crust - the perfect Portuguese pizza - just like the Portuguese style pizza you can get in Brazil. The quality was so good that I didn't mind paying $29.30 for this pizza. This past year the Lisboa pie would arrive with either too much sauce, shreds of ham instead of full ham (as a Portuguese pie should have), key ingredients missing, soggy crust and the pizza would arrive COLD. Complete rip off for a $29.30 pizza!!! Service: I called to complain about the quality of the pizza. I was given terrible attitude by management. Against my better judgment, I continued ordering from Pieducks and the quality of the pizza continued to disappoint. Pieducks is pretty good. It's not great, it's not horrible, it just kind of is... I think the sauce here is probably the aspect of Pieducks I like most. It's not too sweet but sweet enough, and not too thin either. Where Pieducks drops off is with their cheese and crust. They put way to much cheese on their pies, which masks all of the other ingredients. The cheese itself lacks in flavor, so some pies taste like a large serving of dough and cheese. The actual dough, even though cooked in a brick oven, usually, but not always, arrives flimsy and bland in taste. The one pie I did enjoy here more than the others was the Calabria Pie, which is smoked Italian sausage, cheese, onions and sauce. Next time I order from here, I will probably ask for the pizza extra crispy and light on the cheese. Also, the online ordering system is really convenient and easy to use. Very futuristic! read more

This is the absolute best pizza ever. I've been a customer since they opened a few years ago. The pies are a bit pricey, but I guarantee, if you like pepperoni pizza, you will love Pieducks. They use small pepperoni that get nice and crispy, and plenty of them also. The sauce is super flavorful, and has the perfect balance of savory with a hint of sweetness from good quality tomatoes. I'm a fan of "light" handed cheese on my pizza, and this helps the thin crust stay nice and crispy. This is a must try. Get the pepperoni pizza. You will keep going back. Don't cringe at the prices, just throw your wallet at the front door and don't look back. Update: Had a bad experience with delivery here. The pizza was inedible. I called and they redelivered a new $35 pizza but only after some hassle. And I was told they would pick up the bad pizza "and that it better all be there". Very fresh and high-quality ingredients. Variety of quality cheeses. Mozarella, goat cheese, parmesean and many more. Sausages and pepperoni are real -- either Spanish or Italian, not the crappy American-chain processed variety. Sauce is great for my taste, a bit on the sweet side, but almost neutral. Crust is of thinner variety. Crust is not the best you will ever eat, but good nonetheless. They also have a variety of salads which are fresh and of obvious quality. Bonus points for having Haagen Daas ice cream. Online ordering is also really straightforward. Delivery can take long-ish. 45 minutes on weekday, and over an hour on a Friday - so if you need to eat right now then they aren't your choice. read more

Before I even finished my pizza slice here, I wanted to go back. I knew off the bat that I wanted to try another kind of pizza asap. We got the four cheeses pizza and it was excellent. I'm not going to lie though - I liked the bread sticks even more than the pizza. But then again, I'm not too big into pizza anyways (even though as I say this I am eating some for lunch as I type). My boyfriend loves this place, and when I can't convince him to order domino's, this is our go to place. He loves the bacon pie. I gotta say it's pretty yummy but it's soooo greasy. I can't really make a habit of always ordering from here because of that and how long their deliveries take. I'm a pizza snob. I am from New York and I haven't gone a single day in the last seven years without complaining about the lack of decent pizza in miami. Pieducks is pretty darn good by miami standards. It's a little too fancy and it's outrageously expensive. But the plain cheese pizza (the only way to gauge pizzeria quality) is actually quite good. In New York, pie ducks wouldn't be on my top 20 list. In miami, it's damn near the top. Get your fix if you're in the neighborhood. read more

The inconsistency of Pieducks is killing me. REALLY!?!?! I am usually so good about seeing patterns emerge and then capitalizing on it. Pieducks doesn't even appear to have a pattern. It can be late and it can be early; a weekday or the weekend and there is still no consistency. Sometimes super salty, sometimes not, can someone please do something about this? The scale still weighs in favor of the good, but it is slowly moving to neutral. I must downgrade to a 3.5 stars. read more

Pizza (5*) + Service (1*) = 3* The office orders Pieducks about once a month. For some reason the service has started going down hill. We requested service (plates, forks, etc.) and were told by the delivery person we didn't specifically request it, which we had. When we called to re-request plates and such, the woman on the phone (who had taken our order 30 minutes) told us we hadn't ordered it. Our office manager is superb and does not put up with people telling her that she's lying. While I'm surprised she didn't go off on the manager, she's passively decided we should look for a different pizza venue instead. Pieducks Pizza was recognized as one of the top places to get pizza in Miami from Thrillist-- and I can clearly see why. Their original pizzas have creative toppings. Their crust is thin, crispy, and delicious, and most importantly, the toppings taste fresh. I would highly recommend the Quattro cheese pizza with mushrooms. The cheese blends together to create a culinary fusion of great flavor. Also, top with mushroom or any type of veggies to add that crunchy texture. I will definitely come here again. The only negative is that there is only street parking available. read more

Pieducks is a newcomer to the Miami pizza scene. A quick visit to their website, glance at their menu, or discussion with the lively owner will quickly reveal that they place a high value on fresh, high-quality ingredients as cornerstones of pizza baking. This approach results in a wide variety of offerings that sprout forth from this sound foundation. Their location is somewhat unexpected at the bottom of the One Broadway apartment building in the Brickell neighborhood. As one would expect, delivery is available. For those wishing to dine in, Pieducks offers limited, basic indoor seating. You'll have a good view of their open kitchen and unique oven, which is lovely at night. Take note that street parking is limited, especially on evenings when you will compete with Segafredo. One Broadway is a quick walk from the Financial Metromover station. Also, valet parking is available for 6 dollars at One Broadway. Pieducks offers several specialty pizzas and they're happy to construct a pizza of your choosing. The variety and quality of their toppings is much appreciated, and several types of cheese are also available. Their dough is always freshly made and yields a thin crust that manages to be neither too crispy nor too chewy. In short, it retains just the right amount of doughy texture. They also offer limited non-pizza offerings: several salads and one desert. Their salads are good but nothing to get excited about. Look to Pieducks for your Brickell (or beyond) pizza needs. read more

This was easily the worst pizza I've ever had in Miami. Just awful. Let us count the ways. 1 - The crust: Paper-thin, flimsy, and greasy (a reoccurring theme). It's never a good sign when you take a slice out of the box and it immediately collapses, falling into pieces because the crust is so weak. That's exactly what happens here. Terrible. 2. The sauce: Never noticed any, so can't even comment on it. It needs more. 3. The cheese: Disgusting. Clumps of extra greasy, tasteless, old cheese. Tastes like plastic, cooked in even more grease (if that's possible). 4. The toppings: None of it was even close to fresh. No taste, no texture, no flavor. It was all the type of bland you get when you chop something up, then leave it in the fridge for 3 or 4 days, then try to reheat it and pass it off as fresh. Horrible. I wish Zero stars was an option here, because Pieducks definitely earned all zero of them. Stay away. Go to Primo on the Beach, Andiamo in Midtown, or Pizzaria di Lemoni in the Design District. All are examples of what pizza should be, and what Pieducks does so terribly wrong. read more
