I always feel ripped off every time I buy a Neapolitan pizza but if I suspect it's premade tomato sauce then it just adds insult to injury lol. I know a lot of these premade sauces use HFCS & I've been off anything with it for over two weeks now & since the pizza places where I oder from all use their own house sauce which I usually eat almost every week, it's weird that the next night after eating this pizza I'm feeling hungrier. After a few minutes a guy came from the back, didn't seem to be in a hurry and handed me my food. Mine and one other seemed to be the only 2 orders this "busier than usual" restaurant had. My Italian sub was supposed to come with ham, salami, provolone cheese, lettuce and dressing. I bit into the sandwich and it tasted off. I quickly found out why - it was LOADED with several slices of orange, cheap American cheese - the heavily processed stuff you get at Publix for something like $2.00 for 12 slices. Horrible! I opened the sub and picked out the gobs of American cheese which have no place at all on any Italian food, much less a hoagie and it tasted better, but it wasn't easy to pick out because they'd baked it and all the processed orange cheese was stuck to everything else.

Quality While Pieducks can definitely satisfy a pizza craving, it is not a place I would see myself frequenting. Pieducks uses a traditional brick oven for its pizza, which I feel always sounds like it will be better than it actually ends up. The Medium Cheese Pie we ordered was decent, but the major problem was it was far too greasy. Every time you pick up a slice a pool of grease was sitting in its place and because of it the crust got soggy fast. The Garlic Bread Sticks were very strange as some pieces were covered with cheese and garlic and others were just barren. I did enjoy the garlic and ranch dressing it came with and it works great with the pizza. Quantity The Medium Cheese Pie is 12 inches and was enough for two people to share. The Garlic Bread Sticks came in a small container with about twelve pieces. Value My biggest issue with Pieducks was that it was too expensive for what it was. It is definitely closer to a chain level of pizza quality than a gourmet pizza shop, but followed the more expensive cost structure. A plain pie at 12 inches was over $13 and the Garlic Bread Sticks cost an almost outrageous $9. Ambiance Pieducks is located in Brickell along a stretch of bars and restaurants below an apartment building. The restaurant itself is almost a completely blank canvas. Aside from the large brick oven in the far corner the walls are empty and the space is cavernous. The high ceilings and the very few tables do not make it feel like a place you would want to actually sit and enjoy your pizza. There was also no music playing and no televisions. Considering it is pizza that is time sensitive with its quickly forming grease pools, making a more comfortable setup would likely improve the quality that people experience. They did have two tables outside, but no shade would likely drive people away from that as well. Crowd I was the only person in the restaurant, but considering it is primarily takeout and delivery that should not come as a surprise. Service The pizza was ready exactly on time and the cashier had it set to go, not much else to say about that. Parking It was not difficult to grab a street spot along the same stretch of road as the restaurant. I would recommend bringing someone with you if you grab takeout in case you need to park illegally for a second while you run in. Extra Pieducks did not impress me with their food, but it was the prices that were the real issue. While the pizza was greasy, it was still passable and I did enjoy it with the sauce from the bread sticks. But it costs way too much for what it actually is. Also, do not expect to eat at the restaurant, they did not really set up for a dine-in option.

We went on a Monday at 11:50pm-ish and D'Oro closes at midnight then, so we weren't sure if we'd manage to make it. Luckily, they hadn't yet closed and were welcoming to take our order even giving us menus and telling us to look over and see what we'd like. We didn't need to do that since we were just ready to order a slice of pizza each. The restaurant again wasn't packed, although I did notice this time they seemed to be less overwhelmed with delivery orders. We ordered and sat down with numbers at our table. The pizza was out in maybe less than 2 minutes, with the waters we asked for. So overall, we were in and out in barely ten minutes. Also, we were surprised to find out that it seems maybe it's a standard for the order of a slice to come with two? Unless that was just the case since we were at closing - maybe they were just trying to get rid of their pizza before closing? If that is the standard though to get two slices, then I'd say it's actually good value for money since the slices are huge. D'Oro has small takeout boxes readily available that are great for leftovers so I was able to take my second piece to go since I hadn't excepted to get two . So this was a total 180 from the last time we went - maybe our poor experience was just a fluke last time! So we'll keep giving D'Oro a try - this time went perfectly for us!
