Great little local joint. I had seen a local neighbor had visited, and the pie looked legit. We had to check it out for ourselves. We brought in all three minions, and we luckily found enough room to eat inside (and social distance). We ordered a little hodgepodge off the menu. The kids and Mrs had a slices of regular cheese. The pizza had a nice crisp to the crust, was still thin and foldable. The cheese was fresh and good quality, and it came with the perfect grease drip that you would expect in a NY slice. I personally ordered the bruschetta sicilian slice, and it definitely lived up to expectations. The crust was nice and thick, soft in the center, with a little crunch on the crust. The toppings were clearly hand cut and made with love, instead of the average toppings that are drained out of a can. We finished off our lunch with a half dozen of the mini cannolis, which were of course, made fresh to order. They too were exactly what I hoped for. The owner was working, and clearly cares about the employees and customers. He took a genuine interest in us as guests and made sure we were happy with everything we ordered, and the atmosphere of the team (since it is a small joint, and everyone is on top of the kitchen) was one of a happy work place. We look forward to coming back and visiting again, and hopefully seeing this place grow in the community. read more

So in my opinion I think the Plaza was in dire need of a legit pizzeria. Pienezza just opened on Monday, and today is only 3 days f their grand opening... which the Owner John tells me they have done "hush hush" opening as they re taking their time working out the kinks of a new business and getting used of things... to then go wild with marketing and spreading the news. As a yelper, I am always. Utopia to try new food and of course support our local businesses. Besides, I feel like I have a social responsibility to my community by providing my honest opinion. As I sat here waiting for my order or mozz sticks... he explains that there is a twist to them... as they are prepared differently and are called "jumbo fried mozzarella"... while I wait, receive a free slice of pizza from his daughter that runs the cashier! Oh my Gosh.... the smell of the cheese was like a walk I. Heaven (whatever that means... but it's amazingly good). I almost feel like she gave me an extra cheese slice.... but no, it's a regular slice loaded with fresh cheese and making sauce... truly truly NY style. Finally, tried my mozz triangles and they are are delicious as I now expected them to be since the slice was so freaking good. read more

Three of us went here to eat based off of the reviews of others and the fact that it's not a chain. Yay! When we walked in, we weren't greeted, and there was only 1 other patron in the restaurant. No one explained the menu to us, or the specialty pizzas (that looked awesome - but we didn't see them until after we ordered and paid) or once the pizza came out - the sesame seeds on the crust. What was that about? It was unexpected! Not bad just not what we anticipated. The garlic knots were very good, the fried cheese extremely greasy and kind of bland. The pizza was good - but a little greasy, I think some sort of garlic butter had been drizzled on top? Nothing I have to have and go back for, but good. The owner (I'm assuming) did come out and check on our party and was kind, but that was the extent of interactions. They're really new, so we will go back in a few months after the kinks have been worked out and see. read more

My son and I came in on a whim and were so glad we did. We got the buffalo chicken Mac n cheese pizza and the gardenia salad and it was phenomenal. The staff was so kind and professional. I took pictures of the menu to send to my husband so he and his work buddies can check them out. We'll definitely be back for family movie night. I highly recommend this place. I absolutely would not hesitate to eat here again. Their pizza tastes just like the way I learned to make it when I worked in Rome. The crust is tasty and crisp and the ingredients are fresh. The only thing that's missing is that smoke flavor that you get from a wood-fired pizza. But then again, you also don't have the burned edges to deal with. read more

Crispy non soggy pizza (cooked perfectly because it was not overly cooked) the sauce was perfection. Everything was delicious!!! I usually hate reheated pizza and was skeptical about ordering pre-made slices before entering the store but once I walked in I couldn't resist!! So glad I did. The pictures speak for the themselves. We checked in and also got donuts, which were also very good. We were extremely impressed with the food and pizza and it's definitely one of our favorites now.
