There is a whole Vegan menu as well but personally any Italian place that I can eat at as a gluten free human is a rare beast. They serve individual size pizzas we got 3 to share one had zucchini, peppers and onions. The other two were a 5 cheese and a salami, pepperoni. They were all excellent. My daughter and I went to The Italian Joint at about noon Sunday and ordered half Margherita and half cheese with shrimp as an add on. Mozzarella sticks were very flavorful and favored by my daughter. The pizza was delicious and the shrimp was grilled to perfection. Service was fast and staff were very patient with us being it was our first visit. Reservations could be made but walk in is allowed. Parking is on the street and quite accessible when we went. Our server took 10-20 minutes longer per step than necessary and consistently forgot one person's order every time. Appetizers? 1 forgotten. Drinks? 1 forgotten. Entrees? 1 forgotten. We asked for two boxes and the checks. She brought us boxes after 10 minutes and had us waiting another 10-15 for the checks just for one to be wrong. She left to correct it and we waited another 10-15 minutes just to find her standing and chatting at the register with the checks in front of her, uncorrected. We paid up front and left immediately. The food here is incredible. Everything is from scratch. The owners are so nice and the wait staff is great too. It seems like they collaborate with service. If you check out their menu online, it has a photo of every food item; I've included a few of ours below. Inside has 2 small dining areas, the front dining room has a great view of the pizza oven. I wish I had better experience, wasn't bad, they offer an complementary bread, but as an Italian restaurant you expect a really nice bread with good crust, wasn't that one, although, the olive oil and vinegar sauce was good. Pizza wasn't the best one, but not bad, ok (can't compare with horrible American pizza like domino's and other ones) it's pizza, real pizza! The pasta was good but the sauce a little bit acid.. The e chicken parmigiana was OK, first impression was that wasn't cooked enough, but I bet was, so don't know what happened. Last evening we experienced The Italian Joint in Downtown Kissimmee for the first time and loved it. We were seated and our server greeted us immediately with menus and took our drink orders. We ordered the 5 Cheese Fonduta ($14.95) for our appetizer, Salmon Margarita Dinner ($23.95), Mom's Lasagna Dinner ($22.95) and a Kids Pasta to go (13.40). Everything is made to order and the dinners included mixed green salads with a lovely and flavorful vinaigrette dressing. I don't usually enjoy salads but this was really tasty.the 5 Cheese Fonduta is served in a toasted bread bowl overflowing with cheesy goodness and toasted pieces of bread. This was so very good, we could have only eaten this and left happy. Very Happy. The Lasagna was very tasty and a large enough portion that more than half came home with me. The Salmon was tasty and served over what looked like an artist palette of vegetables. Everything is made from scratch in house and you can taste that. Our server was Tiffany and she was delightful. We came in an hour before their hour break I between lunch and dinner and we were served riby a very courteous young lady who appeared knowledgeable about they're menu (scratch menu). We asked for vegetarian reccomendations, there were limited but she also said that being a scratch kitchen they could easily accommodate any plate to fit your needs.
