A NEW FAVORITE! I've be burned before with some make-your-own pizza places before like Blaze, and this Pieology is no such place. The guy who was making the pizzas was super nice and professional! Most importantly, he was thorough and asked us if we would like anything else after each section. I love the plant-based selections here, I got an original crust pizza with vegan cheese, plant-based meat and loads of veggies. The veggies were super fresh and tasty! I recommend adding a dash of sea salt and pepper to your pizza if you're ordering a vegetarian/vegan meal. Apparently, Pieology is serving calzones now? They look great and will definitely be a part of my order next time! Overall, the restaurant is large with plenty of seating. Won't be going here again. Placed an online order at 7:50pm for 8:30pm pick up. I arrived to multiple of the toppings missing and they had forgotten my side of ranch. On top of that I could tell it had been sitting for some time and was cold. They didn't have my receipt and said that the printer wasn't working which made no sense because I picked up an order for a friend and they had her receipt. They said they didn't have some of the toppings available which I find really hard to believe considering I ordered over an hour before they even closed. They were practically entirely cleaned up at 8:30 when I walked in to pick up my orders. I will be calling for a refund and not coming back. We used to love this location... not too far from the house and great pizza.. Came here today and waited over 15 mins in line just to order since there are so many online orders. Pieology is one of several specialty pizza places started here in SoCal. It's a pick your crust, pick your sauce, pick your toppings & cheese; and then... it's off for 5 mins in their 700 degree oven. Presto, Chango... Shazam! We came here for a Take-Out this past Saturday night and had a fun time watching them make our pizzas. There were some missteps along the way, but everything was good when we left. We ordered a basil Margherita cheese pizza, along with a Spicy Meat Lovers of my own design. I went with the cauliflower crust, even though I do not suffer from celiacs, and after a false start, I had three pizzas. Nice. You see Pieology makes good, even when they make a mistake. Will not be going back. Made an order online 2 pizzas, entree size salad, and 2 liter. Went to pickup my order gave my name and the guy handed me both pizzas and said thank you.... I asked for my 2 litter and salad. The worker said I'll be right back with Diet Coke, I said "regular Coke please". He then said "we don't give 2 liter soda for Door Dash orders you can grab a Crystal light (carbonated water). I said "I ordered online via your website and regardless it's already been paid for." He then says "We don't carry 2 liter sodas anymore and no one is here to give you a refund, you can come back tomorrow." Another worker is preparing my entree salad and covers it with Saran Wrap but it's not fully covering the top so I asked him if he can double wrap the salad so it doesn't spill all over my car. The worker confirmed I had an entree size. So I asked to see the side salad container - the side salad container is rectangle but it will hold the SAME AMOUNT of salad!!! I said you realize if I empty this into that container it's the same it's just this container is square. So my first time trying Pieology. It's really good with fresh toppings along with watching the staff place your pizzia in the clay oven. The only thing that I would like to see Is a little more toppings added to the pizza. It's was kinda skimpy and they wanted you to pay extra for just the normal amount that usually comes on pizzas. We went in today and my husband asked for ricotta cheese (like we ALWAYS have in the past) and were told that due to new management they are "only allowed two scoops of cheese" and then she sprinkled three little pieces on as if that was extra. Awful. The people who made our pizzas were nice but the professionalism is actual crap. They have no idea what they're doing. No wonder the line barely moves. I ordered 2 pizzas today. There was a lady behind me named Pam and she also ordered 2 pizzas but with toppings that I'd NEVER put on my pizza. As I waited patiently for them to call my name, they never did. There were these 2 pizzas that were being put into boxes (which I assumed were mine because I was next) and Pam just got up and took them. The guy didn't call a name and never opened the box for her to check if the pizzas were actually hers. He just handed them to her and she made her way out of the store. WHAT THE FUCK. It made no sense that her pizzas came out first since I was ahead of her. AND HE DIDNT EVEN ASK HER OR DO ANYTHING TO MAKE SURE THAT THE RIGHT PIZZAS WERE GOING TO THE RIGHT PERSON. Just as I predicted, they called "Pam" about 10 minutes later. This meant that Pam walked out with my pizzas. Don't get me wrong, I'm fully aware that Pam is partially responsible for this mishap. However, I'm FURIOUS AND KNOW THAT IT IS THE FAULT OF THE GUY WHO GAVE HER THE PIZZA. IF HE HAD ASKED HER FOR HER NAME WHEN SHE CAME UP TO CLAIM THE PIZZAS AND OPENED THE BOX TO ENSURE HER PIZZAS WERE IN THERE, THIS NEVER WOULD HAVE HAPPENED. Started coming to this one because the location in Temecula had gone out of business and it looks like this one will go the same direction if they continue to have employees treat people like I was treated today Last week was the first time I tried this location and had a very good experience in the evening with a very friendly employee. Today was the exact opposite. This Saturday at 4:45 PM and a tall, thin young girl took my order. I told her I needed to gluten-free crusts as we both have allergies to it. She didn't change her gloves which every other time I've been at any Pieology is the standard first thing they do with a gluten-free order. She then went over and handled, the regular dough with the same glove and then came back to grab the gluten-free crusts. So she clearly has not been trained on cross contamination or just doesn't care, which from her attitude it seems like it could be either one. Then she proceeds to put the gluten-free crust on the regular pie tin. I told her that they always put the gluten-free runs on a different tin and put paper on it and she argued with me over it. When it comes to making the pizza, I asked for extra marinara and she didn't put it on so I had to ask for a second time to please put extra marinara and have it go out towards the edges of the crust. It was just in the middle. Comes the time for the cheese. She barely sprinkle some on and all you can see is marinara sauce with a sprinkle of cheese. I asked her for extra cheese and she can seem irritated. She told me she would have to charge me extra and she could only give me a sprinkle , I have never of going to this chain say anything like this. Because of her attitude, I told her to get it and cancel the order and walked out. These pizzas are now $18 apiece and to pay that much and have someone argue with you and put barely any sauce or cheese on. Wow ! What a difference a few weeks make and new employees. My wife and I stopped by on a Friday evening a few weeks ago and were shocked by how dirty the place was including the food area. Funny thing is the lazy girl was folding boxes instead of cleaning the food area . There was so much food that was cross contaminated that there were no containers that just had the correct item In it. The spinach and other items had been sitting so long it needed to be thrown out and the other items needed to be refilled with fresh ingredients . I talked my wife into staying and the lazy girl who still wasn't cleaning the food area asked what we wanted and she brought out a burnt cauliflower crust that she stated were all like that. I ordered a regular thin crust and she put sauce on then cheese and I asked that the cheese covered the pie better and she said thats extra , I said if you put the correct amount i wouldn't have to pay extra ? She also stated that corporate was watching her every move from the cameras and she was afraid to get in trouble. I said your weren't afraid of getting in trouble standing there while the entire place is a mess and not cleaning up preparing for new orders ? Very disappointing to say the least .
