Absolutely terrible. Just kidding. I heart this place. An absolute must visit if you're from out of town. The new location is bigger and also serves food, making it a great place for breakfast. My wife said the bagel and homemade cream cheese is amazing. The new location just opened so some patience may be required for the service.. 3.5/5 Pulled up to the new Pier 13 location and the building is absolutely farming aura. Tons of space, plenty of seating, and honestly a great spot to yap with friends or hang out with family for a while. The coffee was where I got a little skill issue. My iced latte was decent, but the espresso tasted a touch darker than I usually like or expected for a roast and was giving "the beans yearn for the second crack" energy. Sweetness was balanced though, so it wasn't a total caffeine debuff. Bagel sandwich was perfectly cromulent. It existed, I ate it, we both moved on with our lives. Staff was friendly too but not like super present. I might be biased because I swear the smaller location had the coffee build optimized to max stats. Still, one drink isn't enough data for the spreadsheet, could come back and try again. read more

*new location* ambiance is great. Big beautiful spacious new building. Staff is wonderful. Greeted as soon as you walked in the door. Food.... Solid 7/10 the hash brown is not worth $2.99. I like Kona coffees, and while I the beans here aren't from there, an iced mocha from Pier 13 is the closest thing I can find in Florida to a "Big Island" coffee shop. There's a larger competitor in the yellow building next door...don't confuse them with Pier 13, who have just a smaller entrance in the common parking lot, accessible on the southbound Hwy 1. The rewards program is quite generous, in my opinion (better than the green mermaid place!). read more

The owner and operator knows his stuff when it comes to a great cup of coffee, and his employees are just as valuable and friendly. This quaint place can be a wait sometimes but is always worth it. I usually order a cold brew or americano with a flavor and light cream--it's divine every single time. In fact, it takes the grouch right out of me. If you don't know what kind of drink you like, the sea freeze is great or they will take your time with you to get you your perfect coffee. Some of the best coffee I've ever had! We came to Florida for a short trip in the area, and stopped at Pier 13 on our way through. Amazing coffee and staff was very nice. As an avid coffee lover I prefer to stop at small cafes for coffee. This coffee shop set the bar high for our entire trip. If you happen to be visiting the space coast and are in need of fresh roasted coffee than Pier 13 is the place to stop. Tucked away in a small unassuming space along South Washington inside you will meet Java the Hut, A large coffee roaster and the members of his empire that help him produce some of the best roasts around. On our visit we were thoroughly educated of the flavors and subtle nuances of Pier 13's coffee offerings. After much consideration I chose to take home a bag of Kraken's Cove which as the label states, "Rich, juicy, sweet and heavy with brown sugar, apple, caramel and chocolate flavors." I also chose one of their single origin blend dark roasts from Papua New Guinea. They can grind it for you or you can take them home and grind them yourself, which I prefer. Since it's a bit of a drive for me to Titusville I knew I needed to have a coffee so I chose to try their iced mocha as well. So delicious and refreshing on a hot Florida day. My friends and I popped in while camping nearby after seeing the great reviews and were not disappointed. Definitely great coffee and such friendly service. I had to bring my dog with me and the owner was so kind in letting him come in the shop with me while we got some work done. There are just a couple of tables for seating, so be aware of that. Friendly service! Good selection of beans, great atmosphere. Definitely a welcome change to chain-roasted burnt beans. I purchased 2 bags of whole beans, one to have on hand to avoid my parent's instant coffee and the other as a gift. Roast on the Mexico left a little to be desired... a little lighter and tarter than expected (almost sour). The Swell Yeah! was well liked by those to whom I gifted the beans.
