I hired this shop to repaint my truck, including repairing rust areas before painting. The truck was dropped off on August 24. I was out of town for a month and received periodic photos of sanding and bodywork. When I returned on September 21, I was told the truck was not finished and would need another week. On September 29, I was told the truck was "ready." When I arrived, it was still covered in sanding residue and clearly unfinished. I was told it only needed to be washed and that remaining issues would be corrected. I paid approximately $3,600 in good faith based on that representation. After washing the vehicle, multiple defects were visible: * Overspray on windows * Uneven paint coverage * Inconsistent clear coat * Dirt and debris in the paint * Orange peel texture I gave the shop another full week to correct the work. The truck was returned to me a second time, and the job was still incomplete. There were buffing burn marks, streaks in the clear coat, uneven application, and areas with insufficient paint coverage. Additionally, rust repair areas that were supposed to be corrected began bubbling under the new paint, indicating improper surface preparation. I obtained an independent estimate from another body shop, and they quoted approximately $3,000 to repair the defects. During this process, I also experienced unprofessional personal comments that made me uncomfortable, which further diminished my trust in the situation. After multiple attempts to resolve the issue directly, I disputed the charge through my credit card company. Following review of documentation and evidence, the credit card company ruled in my favor and refunded the full amount. I am sharing this review so others can make an informed decision. My experience involved extended delays, incomplete work, and repeated opportunities that did not result in a properly finished job. read more

This review is not about the mechanics; I am sure they are very skilled. This is about the scheduling process and communication with the office staff. We set up an appointment, during that time we had a price and an estimated pick up time for that day. We dropped the car off first thing in the morning and were told that we would receive a call to come pick it up. We called around the estimated pickup time and were told the car would be done the following day.... Uh.. what? They said the mechanics were at lunch and didn't get to the car yet. So we waited, call the following day and were told that the car would YET AGAIN be done the following day. The man on the phone stated that he told us that when we dropped the car off that it would be three days. He did not, I would not have left my car there for no reason, when I just needed small simple work. We also found out that the quote was half of what the cost was going to be. He stated that the lady who works the of is only there a few days a week and should not have set the appointment and gave us a quote. We are aware that quote are just that, but double for a glow plug and oil change?!?! $500-600?!!!Other then laying about what they told us on when the car would be done, they were nice and I am sure their mechanics are great however, the office has lost our business. I've been having a lot of problems with my pickup lately and I am fairly new to Tucson. I have been to two other mechanics in the area and felt like I had gotten screwed over either by the quality of parts put in or by the actual mechanics. I found Pierce online and figured I would give it a shot. I found out that I will always take my vehicles here as long as I am living in Tucson. I was on a time crunch due to an upcoming trip and Pierce fit me in and helped me out of a pinch. The owners seem like they will always look out for their customers and not to mention they seemed like they were really down to earth and not to mention the prices were as fair as it comes. GREAT SERVICE, HONEST, AND WELL PRICED! Needed an emergency car repair and stopped into Pierce Automotive. Typically, car repair places will overcharge when you're an emergency repair. Not at Pierce Automotive. They drove my car, figued out he problem, fixed it and sent me on my way for less then $5.00 (I just needed a plastic clip). What a great experience. I had a business transaction with the owner to paint my car and do some work on it. I was assured it would be a very quality job. There was no clear coat put on the vehicle, I was told there would be. The paint was put on thin enough that you can see some of the sanding marks. In my option it was very poorly done. As for the work done on the car it's self? The A/C stopped working within a few days. I will say the vehicle is 20 years old. It could have stopped working for other reasons. Phone calls were never returned, emails were also never returned. This being said the vehicle was delivered when promised. The body work (other the painting) that was done made the car look a great deal better, aside from the sanding marks that show through the paint. read more

Our family was in Arizona for the holidays, and Pierce Automotive's speedy and honest work saved the day. En route from Oro Valley to Sedona, we experienced a really strong gas odor and pulled off the highway. Pierce was the first garage we saw. Though they didn't have any online reviews, we opted to take a chance rather than risk the car catching on fire, since we didn't know exactly what the issue was. The mechanic, Nick, was straightforward, presenting two possible scenarios that he initially suspected and providing inside and outside estimates for the work. We had the bad luck of arriving right before the lunch hour, but he resolved the issue within a half an hour of his return. It turned out that the problem was actually simpler than suspected: just a loose clip. This made sense, since that area had been serviced before our road trip. We were therefore charged a reasonable labor fee, which was lower than the inside estimate. I should also mention that we'd walked down the street to a fast food restaurant while waiting, and when the office encountered reception issues with my cell, Nick even drove down to tell us in person and pick us up. We were far from home with a planned itinerary, hotels booked, etc. A lengthy wait, incompetence, or dishonesty would have impacted our road trip a lot. We were really relieved to have walked into this business and gotten so lucky. read more
