When I first walked in the male at the desk was not very friendly and did not even greet us. We were handed over to the piercers and one asked the other "Do you want her or do you want me to take her?" the other responded "I don't care". At this point I'm don't really feel like a valued customer, I'm just whatever to them. Not one person said hello to me, introduced themself, or even asked me my name. The whole process felt like I was being rushed and they wanted me in and out very quickly (despite no other customers in the shop). I was moved to the small room in the back and every question I asked felt like I was bothering the piercer, giving me short answers instead of helping me to make a decision. The jewelry did not seem properly sterilized, just quickly sprayed down, no autoclave machine. I did not even see the piercer wash her hands. With the unfriendly and unprofessional staff, hot and stuffy room, the piercer's baby crying in the small shop, and unclean practices I chose to leave. I did have to pay $20 because the piercer said she already opened the needle (which was opened before selecting jewelry and marking). Not complaining because I understand those are her supplies, but I wish she waited until she saw that I was ready and comfortable. Was hoping for a different outcome because I saw so many great reviews, but perhaps I caught them on an off day like a few other negative reviews mentioned

This place is a joke! I have been in many times in the past for a long time, as they were the only…read morehead shop in the town of Napa. First off these guys are too fu*ckin stoned all the time to get off their butts and help you when you need it. When you do finally get someone to help you, they are just not knowlegeable! I used to sell blown glass, so I have an idea of what I am talking about (not an expert but not a novice either), and it really discourages me when I know more than an employee does. When you walk back to the area of the shop with the pipes, and other smoking devices, you are bombared by pornography and sex toys. Then when you do finally make you way past midget porn and dildos to the pipes, they are extremely overpriced and the selection blows! 95% of their selection is import glass (meaning they probably bought it online for less than $2 a pipe for crap glass) which a lot of the time must have holes drilled into them upon arrival. When this happens, it jeopardizes the structure of the glass and can leave toxic glass dust in the pipe when inhaling. Their cheapest "decent" pipes start at around $35! That is absurd, when I can go to a headshop down the street (as there are now 3 in Napa) and get the same pipe for around $17. Basically, if you want decent customer service, experienced staff, and good prices for decent product, DO NOT GO HERE!!

He was able to quickly swap out my post for a slightly longer one and immediately my ear got less angry/red. It was only $20 for the post. But then I shopped his jewelry selection, and the earrings are really well displayed and bright! I ended up buying an earring for my conch, and he was able to also squeeze me in to change my earring for me between appointments. If he has a full day of appointments, expect to wait (or come back another day) but if you wait, there's a small chance he can squeeze you in, depending on what you need and what his appointments are having done. Highly recommend looking at his earring selection (beautiful gold pieces) but they have gold prices...so also expect to pay if you buy any earrings. He didn't pierce me. But when he did my flat post swap, he was very careful and surprisingly it didn't hurt like I expected it to. For my conch earring swap, it was a little uncomfortable but he was also very careful to make sure the earring was on nice and tight. I would recommend this shop and Joe!

They took the time to walk me through what was happening and also recommended that if the swelling and fluid filled bump behind my ear didn't settle down, to go get it drained (which I did and it's been great since). I wish I had gotten my piercing done here originally. Their pricing is reasonable and knowledge far deeper than other places I'm aware of.
