Apricot Croissant and French Roast coffee.

I'm still madly in love with Pierre & Michele Authentic French Bakery. Today is Pi Day (look it up) so, of course I fell in love with the fresh fruit tarts & coffee. Sitting across from the Eiffel Tower painting makes me feel like I'm in Paris. The staff is amazing keeping everything clean and moving. They are awesome and what a treat to give yourself. Hey! It's pi day. Get out there and visit Pierre & Michele's Authentic French Bakery.

Let's start with the good. Service is very quick and helpful, the staff is very friendly. The restaurant itself is very cute and has a very cozy vibe (sit and yap kind of place) with all the couches. It was a great hang out spot to catch up with my friends. Now the food itself- I got a mocha with was delicious. I loved every sip of it and I would get it over and over. It was so yummy and tasted as a mocha should. I also got some apple tart pastry thing. I love apple pastries and they a baked apple tastes. I was very disappointed to find out that majority of this pastry was almond cream, and the ratio to the apples was not that great. It was very overpowered with almond, and while the apple part was delicious, I wish there was more of it. I would not get this pastry again. My friends got sandwiches and they were also unimpressed, said they were okay, nothing to write home about. I would go back and try some of their desserts as they looked very tasty but I'll save that for another day. For now, I would consider this bakery just ok.

Cute cafe located in Main Street in Somerville. There's plenty of seating so you can enjoy your coffee and pastries right there and stay to get some work done. I tried the croissants and a baguette. All were great and tasted authentically French. I wish that the bread was a bit crunchier but still delicious. Would definitely go back to try even more.

Love their apple croissants!! We come here whenever in the area and try to get one before they run out. They also have a wide variety of other pastries and coffee. I recently also tried their spinach and goat cheese quiche and found it to be quite good

What a precious French bakery in downtown Somerville. The interior is spacious and serene. I loved how peaceful it was. Little marble bistro tables line both sides when you enter and in the back are the pastries and French breads. They have the round stuffed croissants people have been looking for as well as beautiful pastries filled with mousse, etc. I tried a pear tart with almond and it was delicious. I got a standard coffee with creme. Strong but good. I loved the atmosphere and the dessert. The coffee was a bit too strong for me so I may try tea next time and there will be a next time! Pro tip: free parking can be found on N Bridge Street. It's a 5 min walk but worth it for the peace of mind.

I've only visited this new to Somerville French bakery once but I am already a very big fan. From the beautiful open space with plenty of tables, to the simple menu and tea served as a pot, my visit was lovely and won't be my last. I stopped in between meetings while in town and wanted a small & quick bite along with a tea to warm up. I also wanted to try and get a bit of work done while I was there. Luckily, I saw a few other guests on their laptops and the barista brought me over their wifi password no problem. Can confirm that you have strong wifi while here! I got an egg and cheese on a croissant and it was incredibly cheesy and buttery. A little more decadent than I had planned for a snack, but still delicious. My tea came out with hot water in a pot, my cup and a tea bag, I loved that I could leave it steeping in the pot and just refill my cup. I definitely plan to return when I am in need of some French baked goods, a coffee or just want to get a bit of work done in a new space.

Huge fan of this place! Pierre & Michel's Authentic French Bakery rivals, and might even surpass, the many French bakeries I've visited in New York. The prices are more reasonable too, and the quality is outstanding for what you pay. It's definitely worth making the trip to Somerville to visit Pierre & Michel! Everything I have tried has been absolutely delicious. The croissants are massive and perfectly flaky. My favorite pastry is the Paris-Brest. The hazelnut cream is rich and smooth, perfectly complemented by the delicate, flaky shell.

    iced vanilla lattes strawberry tart
    Saniya S.

Such a nice cafe! The service was great and the pastries look unreal. I got the iced vanilla latte with oat milk and got the strawberry tart to share. The latte was good, strong but exactly what I needed. The tart was so pretty - we didn't want to cut it up! The strawberries were sweet and the tart itself wasn't too sweet which was perfect. Definitely worth a visit!

Their croissants are so flaky!! They also have really good baguettes that are very inexpensive. We have enjoyed coming on Sunday mornings and getting their Hot caramel latte's with almond milk.

Do NOT miss this great bakery! Yummy fresh pastries, sweet or savory. We've been here a few times now and everything has been deLIGHTful. Pistachio roll, spinach and goat cheese quiche, savory croissants (pesto mozzarella with tomato or tomato, ham and cheese). If you have the time, relax on the couch or bistro tables and enjoy. Staff is friendly, will warm up your order and bring it on a plate with silverware!

Macarons - strawberry, vanilla and pistachio- I accidentally crushed them in my bag
    Kayla L.

This place was really cool. I liked the vibe. I was a little disappointed when I asked for a macaron recommendation the cashier didn't have any. "I don't normally get those." Seemed a bit strange. The owners should have their staff try the product? Nevertheless, I really like the strawberry macaron. The pistachio was okay. The vanilla I thought was good. I accidentally crushed them in my purse, they did look pretty when I purchased them.

Authentic French pastries and cakes in a retro ambiance right on Main St Somerville . Cute setting delicious croissant and cakes , Yet to try their coffee . Slightly pricey but it's worth the money for delicious sweet treats . The 2 sandwiches we tried were very good . Egg & cheese on a croissant and Tomato pesto mozzarella which was originally to be served on a baguette was switched to a Brioche as they were out of their Baguette. Brioche was too much bread for the Tomato Mozz sandwich but the filling tasted ok. Croissants were flaky buttery and very good base for the sandwich. The apple tart had good pastry base and the r filling was quite good too . But the crumble on top was not something I enjoyed. Too sweet for my liking . Their service can be a bit slow if it's crowded as they have only one billing counter and couple of staff attending to the guests . You may have to find street parking or a garage close by and walk up to the bakery as it's in the heart of Somerville downtown. I will definitely go back to try their coffee and other cakes .

French Hot Chocolate, Mango Mousse, and St. Honore
    Paolo A.

If you're reading this, I need you to know that this bakery is far above and beyond your typical bakeries scattered throughout NJ. This shop is legit. We ordered the St. Honore, and mango mousse, and French hot chocolate. Everything came out quickly and were placed on nice little plates. The employee in front was polite and helpful. The seating is nice and--I guess I'd call it European? Really, this place is lovely, and I'll be back again and again to try everything.

A lot of people did not realize that their old location was even there on Division Street, until I took them there. They just opened this location about three days ago, so it was pretty busy when I visited today, and even Karin and her husband were in there helping out! Both very kind people! I came in for my favorite "Death by Chocolate" cupcake and was excited to try two new flavors, Coconut Guava and Lemon Raspberry. I usually check their website ahead of time to see what seasonal cupcakes they have before visiting, I saw those and rush over here. P.s. please bring back the Versailles Cupcake from Summer '25! That raspberry filling is heaven sent, and part of the reason why I came by to try the Lemon raspberry flavor! Even with the rush, the staff was just as friendly as always. I really love it here and always bring my family and friends when they are in town! I'll definitely miss the charm of the old location, but I'm excited for them in this new space and hope that it works out well for them!

Pretty homey feel when you walk into the store. There was a cute selfie wall when you walk to the register. The menu is pretty extensive. I debated getting a drink but was so full from lunch that I got a box of the ube crinkle instead. My husband did order an ube shake for him and my son, so the three of us shared. First I noticed that people don't come here for one drink- people leave with 4-5! Everything looked so good coming out that I couldn't wait to try my husband's shake. Staff was friendly and place was clean! They did have those floor fans going on which I assume was to try the wet footprints from the melting snow outside, so I think that made the restaurant louder the it is. The ube shake was delicious! It was a little hard to drink at first because it was made pretty icy. I'd prefer mine to be a little smoother, but not a huge thing since it'll just melt. My 5 year old LOVED the "ice cream". He drank a good amount which was shocking. I had the ube crinkle when I got home and it was SO good. It was the perfect softness and it wasn't overly powered on top. I ended up eating a second one, which I normally would never do but I couldn't help myself! It wasn't overly sweet or coated with powder and the softness just made it that much better. Would I come back? I would if I happen to be in the area, I will definitely stop by to try the rest of their cakes/drinks!
