This restaurant has been on my list since February of 2024. My sister in law raved about the deviled eggs. It's a very spacious location with tons of modern homey decor. The staff was super attentive and friendly from the hostess to the servers. We had a few hiccups but the fixed them and made them right. My one recommendation would be to put your own leftovers away. They took my food away to bag it up and did not put my leftovers in my bag. I was sad the next day. Let me start by saying the service was amazing, 10/10. PD went above and beyond to ensure that our party enjoyed our experience. Matt was also very helpful and accommodating. Good vibes all around. This black owned restaurant is located in the old Oakland Tribune building. It has a spacious layout and with a nice, simple decor. Plenty of seating is available in the waiting area, a nice bar, and good music. I came for a birthday dinner and our drinks were really good! My favorite was the strawberry lemon drop. I had the lamb chops with whipped mashed potatoes. The chops were tender but the flavor was just okay. Everything else I tried was good. I would come back to try another entree.

Despite the mixed reviews, my boyfriend and I really wanted to check this place out and we came prepared knowing that the service could be hit or miss. First impression ... you walk in and immediately see the half circle bar and a wall lined with couches. A cute and vibey area to wait before being seated - they also had a DJ the Friday night we went. Despite having a reservation we had to wait a good 15-20 minutes to get seated. Once seated at the table, I was surprised that the menus looked like a school craft project ... scalloped edges made by those craft scissors ... laminated ... and strangely small. It looked like a dessert menu or an after thought. Service was surprisingly reasonable - food didn't take long at all. But looking at other pictures on yelp, their portions and plating are WILDLY inconsistent. We ordered the steak, Brussel sprouts, surf n turf Mac n cheese, 2 glasses of wine and cheesecake dessert. There wasn't anything to really brag about. Not the best, but definitely not the worst either. Steak was perfectly cooked, my boyfriend really liked the Mac. I wish the Brussel sprouts were on a plate and not a bowl because they eventually lost their crispy fry and became soggy. If I were to come back I'd likely go to the bar with my girls or come after work for a night cap. I say check them out at least once. Show this local business some love. They definitely have some kinks to work out and once they do ... this place has so much potential!

*******BLACK OWNED BUSINESS ALERT******* I made an unplanned trip to Pierre Pierre to celebrate a birthday. It was a late reservation that we got to early. They were not ready for us but we were able to pull up to the bar and chill. I am just going to say the service there is like no other, I promise. Fuqn Awesome Service. First it is always great to be in a place that's for us by us!! The DJ was doing his thang, folks were out looking good and having a good time. It's a vibe. The drinks were decent. I really enjoyed the Pierre Pierre Side Car. It was purple. Cute. The food was good. A couple of dishes were sent back by the birthday girl but what I had was flavorful. Listen, I always say go try for yourself. My review is to get you in the door. This place is definitely on the list for a go to place in the Town, and this is coming from someone from the City. Birthday Dinner Gone Wrong I debated whether to share this experience, as my intention is never to harm a business. However, my disappointment and frustration with my visit to Pierre Pierre compel me to provide feedback. My best friend and her boyfriend planned this dinner to celebrate my 31st birthday. While we were seated fairly quickly, it took over 10 minutes to order drinks and receive water. To my surprise, the restaurant had run out of all beer and iced tea by 7 PM on a Sunday. Upon reading other reviews, it seems this is a recurring issue that has yet to be resolved. After another 15-minute wait, we ordered appetizers. We opted for the flight of wings to sample different flavors. Unfortunately, two varieties tasted nearly identical, with the only distinction being a powdery topping on one. The third wing was unappetizing, with an odd gray-green appearance and too many competing flavors. Next, we received the "truffle fries," which were soft and lacked any discernible truffle flavor. I kindly asked if they could be remade to be crispier and requested ketchup, which never arrived. After waiting another 15 minutes, the fries were brought back, but the quality was still disappointing. For a restaurant at this price point, I was shocked to see it serve what appeared to be generic Kraft ranch dressing--a significant letdown. The service throughout the evening felt rushed and dismissive. The waitress frequently sped by, asking, "You good?" without waiting for a response. This behavior felt unprofessional and inattentive. We ultimately decided to end our dining experience early. We spoke with what I assume was the manager, who was incredibly kind and understanding. We canceled our main courses, and he offered us complimentary cheesecake and later, a round of shots. We accepted the latter, which was a nice gesture. Before leaving, however, the waitress made an odd and offensive comment, asking if I was a Capricorn. When I said yes, she replied, "Oh, yes, I get it. I'm the same way; us Capricorns are different." My friends and I found the comment perplexing. To top it off, they sang "Happy Birthday" with a candle on a plate, awkwardly referring to me as "Capricorn." The whole interaction was bizarre. Additionally, the bill was incorrect twice before being resolved. On a positive note, the restaurant has a nice ambiance, and the busboys were friendly and attentive. I also appreciated the manager's efforts to address the situation. However, based on my experience, I don't plan to return. That said, I always encourage others to try places for themselves--you may have a better experience. If you decide to visit, I recommend going earlier in the evening to avoid issues with limited drink availability. Best of luck to this business.

Ok so I had been seeing the Tik Tok's regarding this hot new spot in Oakland so I decided to come check it out! Made a reservation and upon arriving we waited! We waited for about 30 minutes and finally was seated! I'll say the theme of the night was waited! After getting our table we again waited about ten minutes before our waiter came and took our drink and order! Since we were picking up on the waiting vibe we made sure we knew what we wanted by the time he came. We went with the flight of wings, deviled eggs, I had the ribeye and my wife ordered the lamb chops! I ordered a club soda with lime. And once again we waited! Our waiter told me the bar was backed up and that's why I waited again for my drink! It was just a club soda!! The appetizers came out rather quickly. The wings were decent I couldn't really differentiate between two of the flavors the actually tasted similar the crack wings and another kind! Tasted like sweet chili. The wings were ok, I'd give em a 6 outta 10. Now the deviled eggs on the other hand they were pretty darn good. I do recommend 8 outta 10. The ribeye was really good nice crust cook to my preferred temperature! I did not taste the lamb chops but my wife said they were really good also! For dessert we shared the Bischoff crust peanut butter cheesecake. The only complaint I had about it was it could've been left to sit out for a little before serving to soften up that crust but otherwise that thing was OFF THE HOOK!! Now I'm reading the reviews one thing that came up in a lot of them was the wait! If you come here you may experience the regular restaurant wait times as we watched some tables around us get there food quickly but others appeared to have to wait like us! But wait time aside I enjoyed the experience other than the Warriors playing like crap as I waited for everything at the restaurant!!

I rarely give five-star reviews, but for this restaurant, I wish I could give ten. The parking is typical for downtown--challenging, but I'd circle the block all day for this place. We visited on a busy Friday night, and from the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the mood perfectly: my favorite R&B tracks playing, a full bar, and an elegant, vibrant atmosphere. Despite the crowd, we were seated almost immediately, and that's when the five-star experience truly began. Our server, PD, was the star of the night. Warm, attentive, patient, and knowledgeable, he made us feel genuinely cared for, as if he truly loved what he did. He welcomed us by placing napkins on our laps and promptly took our drink orders. I opted for a glass of red wine, while my husband tried the "Paradise" cocktail, which was like a mini-vacation in a glass--absolutely fantastic. For appetizers, we chose the deviled eggs and the crack wings. Both were exceptional--the wings had an ideal blend of crispiness, sweetness, and spice, while the deviled eggs practically melted in our mouths. Just when we thought the experience couldn't get any better, the chef came by to check in on us and recommended the red snapper. I'm so glad he did; it was wonderfully seasoned, with a bed of rice bursting with flavor. Our main courses were just as impressive. I ordered the stuffed chicken, while my husband went for the steak and lobster, with sides of mac and cheese and broccolini to share. Every dish was divine--I was so impressed and full, I didn't know what to do with myself! PD made sure to switch out our silverware with each course, even presenting my husband with a selection of knives to cut his steak. Though it's on the pricier side, this restaurant is worth every penny for a special night out, a celebration, or a girls' night. If you haven't been, I highly recommend you try it--you won't be disappointed!

Saw Pierre Pierre highlighted on an IG influencer page and decided to pop by for dinner one evening. The good: the food. The bad: the ambiance. It was rather loud for our taste and while the decor was beautiful, the crowd was not really for us. Neither were the cocktails (most leaned to the sweet-side). The food was truly the highlight. The Port-de-Pierre wings were juicy and seasoned well. The rack of lamb was cumin-forward and one of the best I've eaten anywhere, hands down. The king salmon was also absolutely divine. Both were cooked perfectly. We finished the meal off with cheesecake and it was drool worthy.

Officially this is my new favorite spot for amazing food, a vibrant atmosphere, and the friendliest service you could wish for while dining out. The lounge waiting area is an ideal spot for people-watching, sipping drinks, and relaxing comfortably while you wait for a table, especially if you didn't make a reservation. This time, we savored the crab fried rice, lobster, and irresistible lamb chops that never disappoint! Plus, we indulged in the Rasta pasta, a penne dish brimming with tender oxtail beef in a delightfully spicy Alfredo sauce. Absolutely delicious!

Stumbled upon this place whilst strolling downtown Oak. It seemed to have took over the old Tribune Tavern which I actually liked. But in recent years longevity simply is not in the equation in most urban areas, where 10 years is a long run and anything beyond that is a rare unicorn. Pierre Pierre does seem to have some good cred behind them as their food is pretty solid. And the locals seem to be out to support them, as when we came in on an early Sunday evening, the place was quite packed by 6pm. Old Fashioned ($14/4*) Large single ice cube presentation with 3 gourmet preserved cherries for garnish. Very nice blend, more fruity notes than bourbon flavor, and the color was more of a blush which I've never seen for an old fashioned. Quite tasty but more dessert like for me. I would get one of these next time I come in but at the end of the meal. Seafood Deviled Eggs ($16/4*) First we tried on getting the Salmon Tartare as an app but were told they were out (by 5pm). No big but it does ding a place from ever getting a fiver as it reflects a bit of disorganization and/or lack of commitment in the operations. But these were some of the most unique deviled eggs I've ever tried. First off they take the hard-boiled whites and fry them with a fine breadcrumb coating which made it very warm with a slight crisp. Then they piped in the deviled yolk mixture which was appropriately mustard-y. I think they dotted the top with crab meat but honestly you can't even taste it. But great deviled egg rendition. Creole Lobster ($35/4*) I'm still not sure if their menu is strictly a la carte where you have to order all the sides separately, as when this came out, that's all that was on plate, well some drawn butter as well. And the bartender did not ask if we wanted sides to clarify, as I would have reviewed the menu and reconsidered. Now the good is it was a respectable portion of Pacific lobster tail, cooked well with a dusting of creole seasoning on top. With a glass of wine which I had to reorder cuz they were out of choice #1, it still was a delicious light meal in a happening urban setting. Would come back for a more substantial dinner someday.

First time stopping in for birthday celebration we had a great time. We enjoyed the ambience the excellent service the music. The staff was amazing and the food was delicious and prepared perfectly . Our group enjoyed the lambchops , salmon , wing flight , bottle of Cabernet, Cesar salad , crab fried rice , biscoff cheesecake and delicious cocktails. The happy birthday song was stellar . We will definitely be back !

very poor service & meal. We ordered vodka MartinI that came after appetizer & salad. drink was served in a water glass we asked for martini glass & were charged $5?Really? Caesar salad was very small portion of lettuce with parameters sprinkled on it- no anch,salad dressing or croutons. Oxtail pasta had very little shreds of meat, no i tail with bone. We won't be back. The waiters and the ambiance were very nice however, I wouldn't recommend this place. The food was underwhelming and over priced for the portions we were served. The seasoning for the salmon was on the side as if it was just there for presentation. The Cesar salad had too much pepper. The mashed potatoes didn't really taste like garlic mashed potatoes. The thing that prompted this review was the 45 minute wait for drinks and then the hour and fifteen minute wait just to get our food. I wanted to support because it was black owned however I could've saved my money for the portions and lack of promptness. read more

OMG! what a Gem in Oakland! My Mom and I just happened upon it. I can't say enough about Pierre Pierre a Black owned and operated restaurant. When we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess, Kendra, with a big and welcoming smile. The vibe was comfortable ' like being at an old friend's place. The ambience gives a french flair mixed w/ Southern hospitality. The service was beyond EXCELLENT! The waiter placed the napkin in our laps! The food AMAZING,! Everything I ate from appetizers to dessert had my tastebuds dancing..,,cheesecake made me wanna get up and shout!!!! It was one of the best dining experiences that I've encountered in a long time. I really wanted this to be my new favorite spot. Maybe over time things will improve but I was very unsatisfied with the experience. Don't get me wrong the food was AMAZING but the wait was ridiculously long and our entree came out before our drinks and starters. By the time we were done with our entree the starter/appetizers never came out. I had to ask them to take it off our bill since we never got the rest of our food. Maybe it was the server first time being a server idk. And to top it off, it was a podcaster sitting next t to me and got his food served on time and everything right , the chef even gifted him a free appetizer while we were waiting for food that never came out to us!!! I just hope over time this place gets it together so I can come back and have a better experience. read more

I went to Pierre Pierre for my birthday last night November 9, 2024. The service is horrible. The food is horrible. The wait time is horrible. I couldn't believe it me and my family and the rest of my party ordered what we wanted from the menu two of us ordered stuffed chicken breast One of the chicken breast orders included crab, fried rice, and a vegetable for the chicken breast dinner had asparagus and crab/lobster fried rice, two of us ordered ribeye steaks with the macaroni and cheese and a vegetable I have one guest just ordered a side order of macaroni cheese, and I had another guest that ordered crab/lobster fried rice my reservations was for eight PM we wasn't seated until about 10:00 PM when I fool came, we didn't get anything that we ordered off the menu two guests with the ribeyes. They got what they ordered my guest that ordered a side of macaroni and cheese. She never got it. The lady walked up to her to give her her macaroni and cheese when we were leaving, she refused, me and MY DAUGHTER ordered the chicken breast stuffed chicken breast. They completely changed the whole order we got a Cornish hen which was missing the wings split down the middle flat on the plate crab fried rice. They told us they ran out so all we had was meat and vegetables. It was not seasoned. It tasted like meat and water, the asparagus was burnt then guess who ordered crab fried rice they brought him a bowl with one single lobster in it a whole lobster my granddaughter ordered crack wings, which was unbelievably good. That was the only thing their service was shitty the waiter abandoned us I walked up to the COOK and I told him how disappointed I was, that food that we didn't order and served it to us nobody came to the table and said sorry we're out of this. Would you like to order something else? They didn't even give us a choice to order something else they gave us what they wanted to give us the waiter us, I spoke to him everybody could only say I'm sorry there was no oh we apologize. Here's a free dinner to come back next time or here. You don't have to pay for those meals. They didn't do anything but offer I'm sorry and the person at the front door that seats. everybody say I promise when you come back, I will make sure everything goes well for you. I'm not coming back. You're not upscale restaurant your cooks. Do not know how to cook. You don't use seasoning and then there from San Francisco there San Francisco France was there they came in they were seated before people who was waiting who had reservations, they favoritism, their people this restaurant is not a good restaurant to get out of Oakland because Oakland people like the food seasoned and we like good service which this restaurant does not offer I advise you not to waste your money on their high price bland seasoned food if you do and you order anything, please order the crack wings. Only everything else is shitty. i'll give this restaurant no stars they ruined my birthday dinner. I didn't even eat it. I threw it away. They had the nurse to give us containers to take it home. I put it in the container and threw it in the garbage that restaurant is horrible in everything. read more

Expect greatness, with an elevated fine dining experience. With an intimate, family-friendly atmosphere. That doesn't take away from the white lining formal dining expectation. The food is excellent, and it pairs well with the diverse options of wine and the spirit menu. Formal attire is suggested, but welcome to all. It's definitely a great date night location that is also capable of handling business buyouts or family dinner night. read more

I dined here last night for a late birthday celebration and it was fabulous. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with such warm hospitality from the service staff. The ambiance was stunning and elegant. One of my favorite details were the dining chairs with purse hooks on the back...I love when there's a place for my purse lol!! Now let's get into the food.... ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!! You can literally taste that the person who prepared our food LOVED COOKING! Every single item was flavorful and well seasoned. I ordered the stuffed chicken, Mac and cheese and brussel sprouts....I left no crumbs! We were to full to enjoy dessert(which is a good thing) but I'll be back in a couple of weeks so I'll be sure to enjoy the sweets then. I highly recommend this beautiful resturants for all the reason I listed. I love supporting local chefs and black businesses. Thank you for our fine dining experience. read more

I highly recommend dining here!! It starts with valet parking, the restaurant is beautiful, Urban diverse crowd, beautiful music playing in the background, the staff are all extremely professional and attentive, but most importantly, the food is beyond amazing!!! My wife and I came here for a birthday celebration. I ordered the ribeye and it was pretty good. Although it lacked flavor, it was a perfect medium rare. My wife's chicken breast was really good. We also ordered the chicken wings but it never came. We asked two different waiters to check on it but they never did. When we finally got our waiters attention, we asked about the wings and he apologized for the wait and said he would get our wings right away even though we were halfway done with our entrees. Well...it never came. We told him to just take it off the bill. But when we got the bill, we still got charged for the wings that never came. After waiting another 12 minutes for the updated bill, we were finally able to end our night. read more

Shout out to Pierre Pierre. My family and I went here for Mother's day and had a fabulous time. The food was delicious, the music was on point and the drink were good. The staff were very nice and attentive. The best was I left my Brussels sprouts and my $ 50 visa gift card in my food bag on the table. I called them at 11:30 pm that night and they said that the bag was thrown away but would give me my $50 . They get a high praise for their awesome customer service. The food was yummy delicious. The Stuffed chicken was great and so was the sauce under. $30 for a baby chicken with no sides is a little absurd tbh. My friend and I were visiting from out of town. Where we reside, there are no soul food restaurants. We really wanted to soak up the culture by eating some real good creole food. !!!!!!!!!!SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!!!!!. Are reservations was at 6:45. We had to wait 45 minutes to be seated. While we waited, We ordered a cocktail at the bar. The bar tender told us that the restaurant was robbed a couple of weeks ago, if we were wondering why there is little alcohol to offer. He also said the chef's motorcycle was stolen. All this occurred during business hours while people were eating. I wanted to leave! My friend convinced me to stay. We were seated at the table. We waited 30 minutes before someone came to our table and offered us water or service. I literally had to flag someone down. We began to search for other restaurants in the area to go eat on our phones. It was late, and most restaurants were closing. So we were stuck to eat here. Finally , a short Asian male with 3 prison stripes on his face. Approached our table, and he did NOT offer an apology for keeping us waiting. He had an attitude when I told him that the service was very slow. Needless to say, his tip was very small, I left him a $20, and our bill was $200! We are two sisters who do not mind spending money to help out a black business. BUT THIS I REGRET. !!!FOOD!!! Let's start with the lobster it was RAW! The mashed potatoes were made from a BOX! 0/10 I wouldn't even recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. We had a reservation at 8:30pm for 10 people & we had to wait over an hour just to be seated meanwhile my whole party was present. After being seated no one acknowledged our table to even ask if we wanted a drink to start with. We waited another hour before our order was taken & even after that had to wait another hour & a half just for our food to come out which most of it was cold. By about 11:15pm the first thing they brought out was 2 Mac & cheeses & didn't even clarify which was regular & which was the surf & turf & when we asked the waiter he couldn't tell us either. Both Mac's 0/10. A rack of lambs is not a rack of lamb it's a half rack & very bland but the price is still for a whole rack 3/10 plus they're very small. The garlic mashed potatoes taste as if they are Idahoan store bought bag mashed potatoes 1/10 & the red snapper was very bland as well the the rice under was pretty good best part about the snapper 3/10. The most decent item they had was the crab pasta but the crab meat is imitation crab & it comes cold on top 4/10 who wants cold crab on top of hot pasta. At the end of it all because they didn't do their jobs correctly about 5 different employees came to our table and take our food and box it up which we continuously told them we can do it ourselves when they brought it back after about 10 minutes they gave everyone the wrong food & we had to figure it all out on our own who's is who's. The menu only has 9 items on it and half the sides on there they don't have they didn't even have the deviled eggs. The employees here are all very unprofessional the males are more worried about trying to get girls numbers instead of doing their jobs and the one female had a horrible attitude (lightskin short haircut). The ambiance , the food and the service is top tier to be in a mote space. I'm so anxious to see when the expanded menu becomes available . The deep fried deviled eggs are to die for ! The lack of lambs was serviced with a side of whipped mash potatoes were fire. I can't forget the Mac n cheese that I actually ate cold and with my hands ( please be second hand embarrassed) lol. 10/10 RECOMMEND . oh my goodness yall . I haven't bragged on a restaurant in such a long time, but when I tell you this place was so good .. excellent.. not only did it surpass my expectations with the food service and ambiance, but it is right in the heart of downtown Oakland. Although I am not an Oakland native , I am heavily affiliated and this seriously a true gem spot. My man and I ordered the whole red snapper over rice (10/10) , the crab pappadelle (100/10), the deviled eggs (8.5/10) , broccolini(8.5/10), and mashed potatoes(8/10) . We were hoping to try the yams but we came on a Saturday, our waiter informed us that their 4 day weekly openings are super busy Thursdays and Fridays and that they sell out of things at times (this can be a pro or seen as a con , but either way we will be back to try them). We were greeted at the entrance and were seated in their waiting area. Less than 5 minutes we were seated and the service was just spectacular. Our server PD was top tier , he the chef showed us love for being first timers and Sheen (SHEIN / forgive me if I'm spelling wrong) but he took it over the top when he bagged our food . This is an amazing restaurant. Apparently it recently opened, but it was very polished. Their service was a little slow at the beginning, but that was probably because the place was very full. Let me start this off by saying this restaurant was very nice! I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant but the service was horrible but Most specifically the waitress we had. Our reservation was at 9pm they sat us down in a timely manner we probably only waited like 5 mins which was great! Then that's when it gets bad. We didn't even know who our waitress was we had to ask a waitress walking by if she can call over our waiter. Once our waiter came she gave us our menus and then said she would come back with waters. She disappeared for like 10mins and then a bus boy walking by asked if we would like water and then our waitress randomly popped back up. During that 10mins we had time to look over our menu we knew EXACTLY what we wanted. We told our waitress we were ready to order. She did not have a pen or paper so I assumed she just had great memory. We told her what we wanted. The order was ; fried chicken wings, lamb chops, broccolini', Mac & cheese, lobster tail & and lemon drop. I kid you not 15 mins go by she comes back and says they are all out of chicken wings which was fine we were like ok but then she says " I'm sorry I know you ordered a drink but what was it again" like girl lol ok soo it's takes about another 20mins for my drink to come out. This nice waiter walks by and he asked us if we been helped already and we say yes. Our waiter had completely disappeared at this point. By this time we are looking at the time it's almost 9:45 and our order still is not out. Our waiter has not checked on us at all, the bus boy actually ends up stopping by and just letting us know that they were really busy because they were serving a big party but our order should be coming out soon. Our waiter randomly pops up again and says our order should be coming out soon she then proceeds to bring us some " bar nuts" to help pass the time. After this it's about 10pm still no food our waitress randomly brings us fried deviled eggs which we did not order but I guess it's because we were waiting so long ??? lol Idk we don't like fried deviled eggs we ate one. FINALLY, this nice waiter man comes by and he just realizes that we still haven't had our food or anything he says he is gonna go check he goes and brings out our lobster and Mac & cheese we were so done with this place we just asked for to go boxes cause it's already about 10:30 at this point. He's very apologetic which I really appreciated & we get it the business is brand new and you just have to figure things out. Before we left we got the check and realized they charged us for the broccolini that we never even received. They kindly took it off and we just paid for the things we did get. I definitely want to give this restaurant another try next time I visit. it has great great great potential & I send them the best and hope that it works for them! We had a 7:30pm reservation and did not receive one of the many dishes we ordered till 9:00pm. The waitress did say that they would comp our appetizer but by 9:15pm it did not come as well! We asked for the check 30 minutes prior but did not ever receive it so we just left the restaurant after speaking with 3 different wait staff. Lastly everyone around us was eating food, we were there before a number of people. I don't recommend you eat at this establishment. read more

They are about to celebrate their 20th anniversary and one can see why. They make the best fried chicken in town! Not just great fried chicken, but other great dishes as well. We always start with fried okra and fried pickles. The fried okra is always cooked to perfection, and never slimy! The fried pickles are thin, crispy with a spicy remoulade that pairs perfectly. The corn bread comes with a delicious, sweet butter and the Red Beans and Rice with Andouille is not to be missed. The mashed potatoes and gravy and Mac and cheese are always ordered along with a bucket of fried chicken. The fried chicken here is crunchy, juicy and full of flavor. I also love their spiced popcorn. I have tried their Collard Greens, but they're not really our thing so we never order them. Please come and support this great, local business in the Outer Mission! last saturday was our 3 year anniversary. We were excited to try this place due to its great review and upscale ambiance. We were VERY dissapointed Upon entering everyone at the bar looked over at us like we were minorities/not welcomed. We were not greeted immediately.. we just stood by the booth Until the supervisor came by with the waitress. They hurried us of to the smallest table right by the very unfriendly bar area. When i asked for us to be seated in the back dining area the waitress began to walk us over to the TWO empty tables in the back. The supervisor/man quickly gave her a cut it signal to his neck and refused to sit us. It was 9 pm and we decoded to leave. the waitress awkwaedly apologized for that mans behavior. he should he fired. Didnt get his name. Short light complected sour looking little man. Our anniversary dinner was non existent and we are never coming back. They hype was not real & it seemed like only LOCALS were welcomed. And oakland complains about not having business - yiu guys shoo people and $ away. read more

I recently dined at Pierre Pierre in oakalThe food was phenomenal--kudos to the head chef and the entire kitchen team. The drinks were good, though $25 for a Hennessy sidecar seemed excessive. Unfortunately, the service didn't match the quality of the food. Despite having an 8 pm reservation and arriving 5 minutes early, I was seated late. It then took over 35 minutes to place my order. The food arrived quickly, but no one checked in on me afterward. When I asked to box my leftovers and get the check, it took another 15 minutes. It's disappointing to pay nearly $200 for a meal and receive such subpar service. Businesses need to be prepared for the weekend rush. With only two waiters and one hardworking staff member handling drinks and food, it felt understaffed. I arrived at 7:55 pm and left around 10:45 pm--respecting customers' time is crucial. Visited Pierre Pierre on a Saturday night and it was definitely a vibe! It's a small spot, but the ambiance feels more like a stylish lounge. They had a live DJ spinning good music, which gave the place great energy. It was pretty busy, but the staff didn't miss a beat--super accommodating and attentive from start to finish. We started with the wings flight and the deep-fried seafood deviled eggs--absolutely everything! For my main, I ordered the red snapper. It was so flavorful and perfectly cooked. I shared it and still had enough to take home. One of my friends had the lamb chops and thought they were just okay, but honestly, everything else made up for it.
