Not great! We had to wait what felt like close to an hour for our food. Service was unreasonably slow, and the food was nothing remarkable. Sushi was particularly bad. Chocolate milkshake, however, was good. Just know you won't be able to find it on the menu. read more

Pierson's had the appearance of a sports bar, especially in the bar area where we sat. We were concerned about ordering one of the entrees rather than bar food. We ordered salmon and a filet. Both were amazing! The glaze on the salmon and the very unique rice dish were delicious. We enjoyed our meal so much, we came back the next night. Both servers were great. There was a good wine selection and we enjoyed a bottle each night. We really enjoyed the atmosphere in the bar area at a high top. I strongly recommend Pierson's Grille & Spirits. read more

Visited this week for lunch, we both had their reuben sandwich, very good, service was attentive, it never disappoints!

Cozy, yet upscale bar nestled in the picturesque town of Harbor Springs. They have lots of seafood dishes, but we wanted a quick snack before dinner and opted to split a pizza. Their ranch is top tier and a must try with their pizzas. Highly recommend popping in to watch a game and get a quick bite. read more

We had a bad lunch there today for our party of, including 2 kids. . The length of time from ordering to receiving food (which was a very simple order) was about an hour. The restaurant was not fully occupied. In addition to the food delay, the service was poor as well. No feedback as to what was delaying the food order, no offers to refill drinks and no communication from waiter, who was clearly very inexperienced. The topper was when our very mediocre order came, they forgot to make a kid's grilled cheese sandwich, which we had to wait almost another 15 minutes to get the simple sandwich. On top of that, the bread on one side of the sandwich was badly burned and they put the sandwich together with the burned bread toward the inside of the sandwich so you couldn't see it. I would not go back as the food, service and atmosphere were not worth another visit. I suggest skipping this place in Harbor Springs. read more

A friend of mine and I went here to grab a bite to eat. The restaurant was packed, so we sat at the bar. (Last two open bar chairs). My friend ordered a rainbow sushi roll and I ordered the fried calamari appetizer with a spicy sweet dipping sauce. As we ate, we watched one of the bar mixologists create an Irish coffee with fire. Quite entertaining! Both were promptly served and they were quite tasty. I definitely recommend this place for appetizers and drinks. read more

A couple friends and I went here for lunch and sat on their covered patio, which was quite lovely! It was a bright sunny and warm day, so this was the perfect spot! The service was lovely but we sat right next to the door so that was a little awkward from the constant in and out. It was a 4 top, but luckily we only had 3 people, otherwise that 4th person would have been constantly hit by the people walking in and out for the bathroom or server. My partner and I shared the burger and chicken sandwich, and the burger was okay. The chicken sandwich was definitely better of the two as the burger was a bit dry in comparison. We ordered it medium but it was a bit overcooked and not my favorite! However, nothing to send back over. It was still an enjoyable lunch and mainly went for the vibes and to wander around Harbor Springs! read more

My kids love this place. It was my first time. They love the candle bread... it was just ok to me. The service was fine and the ambiance was pleasant. I had the fish and chips...it was a lot of food for the price and was tasty, my son had the lobster Mac ) his favorite) again it was just ok...my daughter and dil both got the smash burgers which they both LOVED ( it again, lol was to much food) my grandson had a grilled cheese that he also enjoyed ( I ate his veggies lol) over all we had a good experience.... But salt and pepper are highly recommended imo. read more

Our three entrees were delicious. Mine was the filet mignon, scalloped potatoes and green beans. It was one of the most delicious meals I have ever eaten. The filet was medium rare as I had ordered, the green beans still had a bit of crunch; however the stand out was the scalloped potatoes and the bordelaise sauce. My son had the tuna roll. He enjoyed it, although it was difficult to pick up with the chop sticks with the rice on the outside. We were all impressed with the goat cheese croquette on his salad. I plan to look that recipe up and use it on salads at home. Our server was attentive, ticket time on drinks and food was short even though the restaurant was very busy. read more

We stopped in to Pierson's after driving through the tunnel of trees. The restaurant was charming and our waiter, Gabriel, was nice but I was shocked when we were told that my mother in law could not have the pulled pork on a bun bc it was offered in a taco only. Even after I asked Gabriel to tell the chef that she was 86, and was recently widowed from her husband, a Navy Captain, he apparently would not budge. I was shocked by this as I offered to pay any difference but the restaurant/chef still denied our simple request. We never met the chef but needless to say we will never dine there again. read more

Live here locally and been many times with good experiences, however came with some friends for a birthday and the hostess with dark hair and glasses single handedly ruined the experience. She was condescending and rude when a stroller was in the way of one of the tables she was seating. We promptly moved it as soon as she said something out of the way. And they messed up our order which was fine but she continued to make comments that made us all feel unwelcome and rude looks in our direction. We have been many times and this was a first. Our waitress was kind and apologetic about the mixed up order. Food was good. read more

Walked in the host staff were focused on their phones. We asked if we could just sit and have a drink at a table (which this must be some Harbor Springs rule because the bar next door did the same thing to us) They told us no, no seats at the bar and host staff just said have a nice day. I had one mediocre meal here when I was in town for business last year. I was once again in town and they were the only place open they would be relatively quick. It was close to 2pm. There were all of these open tables on the nice and comfortable side of the restaurant and I asked if I could be sat there but since I was a table of 1 they said no, those were reserved for larger parties So they sat me outside in the cold concrete slab with plastic around it. I'm sure they refer to it as a patio. I was the only one in there and I was sat at a table that was uneven due to the floor and hard plastic outdoor chairs. So I left without ordering. It's ridiculous logic, there were plenty of tables for 4 out on the patio. So even if I took a 4 top inside they could of put this POSSIBLE party that might come in on a Thursday afternoon at 2pm long after the lunch rush. I left and got a cold sandwich out of the cooler of a convenience store. And enjoyed it way better than I would have on the cold lonely patio. read more

We have a condo in Harbor Springs and MUST stop here every time we're in town. All food offerings hit the spot. Pizza is different than at a typical pizza parlor but yummy. Only complaint is that they only have one size. The drinks, however, are beyond compare. Nice beer list, compelling craft cocktail choices, but if you are REALLY wanting to drink, their rocks pours cannot be beat. WARNING: be prepared to nurse each glass for a long time because they are defining NOT cheap on their pours. Love this place! read more

When you seat patrons, it helps to follow up with them and actually tend to the table. Even water would be nice. It also helps to display an ounce of professionalism when your patrons leave and not simply say "whatever" when they express the above feedback. read more

Our first time visiting Pierson's and we enjoyed our meal. We started with wings for an appetizer. My son thoroughly enjoyed them and said he would order them as his meal next time. My daughter and I had the tuna roll and the California roll and calamari. We were pleasantly surprised! My husband enjoyed his French dip and said he'd come back! Lots of beer choices too, which is always a bonus. My son said wings were better than the pizza. One recommendation is to make reservations. I didn't know this was an option. read more

We had such a sweet time here! We came to Harbor Springs for a little staycation and we're walking around the sweet town, enjoying the Christmas lights and lake view. Most of the restaurants appeared to be closed, so we were excited when we walked past Pierson's and saw a big patio with a blazing fire, heat lamps, and twinkle lights. The tables were socially distanced, the staff were wearing masks, and there was no indoor dining allowed (customers can use the bathrooms though!). We got two beers and enjoyed the heat radiating down from the heat lamps. It was a peaceful, cozy atmosphere. Our server was sweet and was hustling a lot. We got chicken tenders and a margherita pizza too. The chicken was good, but I wouldn't get the pizza again as the cheese/herb combinations was a bit too much for me. Stop by this spot for a relaxing outdoor chill! read more

The street tacos were tasty and although they looked small, we're more than enough to make a meal. My cousin ordered a pizza, big enough to have for two meals and packed with cheese. We spent 4 days in Harbor Springs and this was one of our favorite dining experiences. The food is delicious and the waitstaff is great! They have a full bar and local beer on tap. The food menu has a wide variety of options and everything we ordered was wonderful. The restaurant was busy with many large parties around us but our server checked on us several times and the food came out quickly. Wish we had room for dessert but we were stuffed before finishing our entrees. We highly recommend Pierson's! read more

Food was so-so and service was SLOW. Will try another place in Harbor Springs, MI if we ever go back.

What was once a very good brunch restaurant now has a dumbed down menu that features quiche, corned beef hash and eggs Benedict. That's it. Minimal prep and not much of a challenge for the culinary team. Corned beef was unappealing (won't say what it looked like in the bowl as even that had changed, plus the beef was fatty). Service was ok although my wife's coffee cup was never refilled. For fifty bucks (incl tip) this is a lousy value. I understand the menu change was due as the good cook retired but if you can't do it right...then don't do it. read more

Pierson's contacted me and did everything possible to express their regret for our disappointing experience and to encourage us to return. I appreciated their response, and my friends and I will certainly give the restaurant another try. Pierson's courtesy and customer outreach was extraordinary, even including thanking us for not taking it our on our server, and I am updating my review to share their very civilized response.
