Pretty solid burger, but the star of it was the onion rings. Crispy onion rings I've ever had in my life anywhere in the world. These onion rings stayed equally as crispy as when we first got it as they did the next morning after being in the fridge overnight. read more

We were the first ones in the restaurant at 11 on a Wednesday. But by 11:30 she forgot about us not following up. Had to as for drink refills, never came around to ask is all fine. This is one of my go to places! There's literally not anything on the menu that is not delicious as a girl from New England I love the Mary's lobster roll. The Paper Station Bistro was a great lunch choice. The food and service provided by Tom were exceptional. The Hudson burger was just as tasty as if I had gotten it at the Hudson Cafe in downtown Detroit. They also have the original Hudson salad. We saw one at another table and it looked fantastic. The fries and onion rings were cooked to perfection. The windows open to the sidewalk seating which enhanced our dining experience. I highly recommend Paper Station Bistro. read more

We are from Chicago, we know good food and service. This place was excellent, a very pleasant surprise. My wife loves bolognese, we have had it everywhere, including Europe. This pasta dish was definitely top three she has ever had. I would highly recommend the pasta bolognese at this place. We liked everything we ordered, especially the cheeseburger egg rolls! No communication when entering the restaurant, just a blank stare when a party of five was communicated. Had to provide solutions for her as she froze because tables were set up for four or less. Waited quite a bit for a server to stop by and ask what we wanted to drink. As we left the restaurant, no, thank you for coming, etc.. Wife said thank you to server and hostess and was met with, "yup". For a 200+ dollar lunch you all need to step up your game. Teach, coach, and train for a world-class experience. The space is extremely tight. There is only one server so it can take a while to get your food. My burger was over cooked and dry, but had a good taste and the bacon was on point. The Korean fries were good, but drenched in mayo. I like mayo, but it was a good 1/4 cup of mayo. My main point of contention is the cost. The price is just too high for a burger that comes with zero sides. $23? That's north of a lot of places in NYC, which have far superior food. Why is the cost do high? Lack of alternatives... Edit: I do not fault the server at all. It was just busy, but not bad. My burger was just lackluster especially considering the price. For reference, my favorite burgers are Motor City Sports Bar in Hamtramck ($9.50), which is insane, but that burger rips. Another, more comparable spot, is Beppe in Royal Oak which is $25, but comes with fries. read more

We had reservations and were seated by the kind host within minutes of our arrival. When approached by our waiter, the first thing said was, 'We're out of pecans', which resulted in me interrupting him to ask his name. He did not say hello or provide and type of greeting. After we learned his name, he proceeded to tell us what wasn't available, and actually told us not to order the carrots, which were supposed to have the pecans. After taking our drink order, we asked the host to provide something to place under the table because it was rocking back and forth so badly. He tried his best, and provided options. Not completely fixed, but was tolerable. We ordered 2 appetizers, which were very good. Our meals took quite a while, but when served, were hot and delicious. The smallness of the restaurant did make for a loud environment, but fun for the groups that were there. When finished, we were handed a check, but was never asked if we needed it separated. It was just placed on our table as the waiter walked by, and when we asked if it was our check, the response was, in a sarcastic tone, 'I hope so.' The restroom needed attention and there was no soap. Not sure when the air vent in the ceiling was last cleaned, but it appeared to be a while. The bucket of dirty rags sitting right by the kitchen was not appealing either. This is obviously the place to be, but as a visitor dining with locals, it was disappointing. Tiny restaurant but the food was great! We came for lunch, large party of 9 and we were seated in less then 10 minutes. I tried the salmon bowl and it was great, a tiny bit dry, I wanted some sauce on the rice and topping so I asked for some Sriracha. We also tried the "olive burger" and I'll be adding the olive sauce to my burgers at home from now on, soooo good and juicy! The kids loved their chicken tenders, although I must say they are pretty inconsistent with the kids meals. We were charged the same for all kids meals but some of their meals came in smaller plates others in bigger plates, same exact chicken finger meal, so that was a bit disappointing. Some kids got 3 chicken tender some got 4 ‍ Service was pretty okay, only complaint would be that the meals did not come out at the same time. I eat my salmon bowl while everyone else at my table was done eating... Being a tiny restaurant this was pretty loud, still an okay place for families with kids. read more

The food is made with love. I appreciated the delicate sprinkling of salt on my burger. It really brought out all the flavors and made simple pub food elevated to something delectable. The ?owner? wasn't initially friendly, and very cool toward our family when I asked if they were kid friendly. Luckily, the other server was very kind and friendly and demonstrated professionalism throughout the service. In fact, he even handled the owner's abruptness with coolness and professionalism. We've been here several times. The food is great. I know it's late summer in a tourist area and getting help might be hard so i understand slow service. But the reservation system is quite broken. Every time it's messed up. This time we waited 50 minutes after our reservation. I get that it's a small place. Maybe just don't take them then. And if you do make me wait almost an hour after the reservation maybe comp an appetizer or drink or something. read more

Food is just 'ok' and wasn't worth the $90 for three 'ok' entrees and a poor appetiThings had mostly good flavor but were lacking the quality that would make these meals worth their 25$ price tags. Just showed up for a reservation I had made at "Paper Station Bistro only to be told my reservation meant nothing. They said they didn't have it so I showed them my online booking receipt confirming the reservation and they said they couldn't honor it and didn't have room. I showed them an empty table and was told "that table is reserved for a reservation" huh?! Is this a Seinfeld episode? Needless to say Paper Station Bistro is no longer on my favorite Harbor Springs restaurant list. Never eating there again. They made NO effort to correct their issue. Sad, just so sad. read more

They may have good burgers but this place has terrible salads. $18 for a 'roasted beet' salad which seemed like canned beets to me - bland little squares with no texture and absolutely no seasoning. Come on - this is September and root vegetables are not hard to find. I considered the Shrimp or Salmon bowls but both are farm-raised - at least this is what the wait person thought as she replied 'probably' - she had no intention of actually checking. We went too celebrate the 4 th of July holiday on the 5th ,the govt observance for those federal employees .... Party of 10 , tight quarters but excellent service , relaxing time drinks , appetizers ( deviled eggs with jalapeño and bacon yummy ). The onion rings are awesome too as a side or app. The walleye was the hit of the night though several also enjoyed the hangar steak with chimichurra sauce. Also recommend the Korean fried chicken !
