Ordered two personal pizzas and breads sticks for a carryout order. the pepperoni pizza was just on the verge of a little to burnt as the hamb. bacon the crust was burnt so made the toppings to done.Pizza was ok to eat but the bread sticks which I also order were where burnt which made them uneatable. This order was for carryout two hours out, they had ample time to make it and to take care how it was cooked. Not sure if we will ever order or even stop here cause as a food service place should make sure the product is eatable or refund your money. Stopped in for dinner and am I glad we did. We had pizza and a salad. The salad was plain and simple but tasty but the pizza was one of the best ones I've had since I was a kid in NY. The crust was perfect and the mushrooms and Pepperoni were great. Our server, Candy, was a very sweet person who did a great job! We got to talking with other guests and learned more about SD and the area. The inside of the restaurant is old school little Italian Mom & Pop type place. Kinda dark and Italian thymes in the walls. They did have outdoor seating on a large porch if you wanted that. Great place, great people and I had the opportunity to pray over the staff and one of the other guests. We are Staying at a local hotel. We called and ordered a large sausage, a small mushroom and a small gluten free with chicken, mushroom and spinach. We called for delivery and were told it would be 45 minutes. And about 45+ minutes it arrived with paper plates and a few napkins. With delivery the 3 pizzas were $50.90 ( kind of expensive IMO) but we ended up having enough left overs to have a 2nd meal so that isn't so bad. The only reason I gave 4 star instead of 5 is because the gluten free crust wasn't so tasty but I have had worse. It was like eating cardboard. The children also said it had too many spices/ herbs on it but that is to be expected with a "hometown" business. read more

This place had some good pizza and excellent service. They were only allowing dining on the patio due to the Covid hoax, but the patio was pleasant and the nearby road isn't all that busy. I prefer a thinner crispy crust, this was a mix between thin and thick. The topping portions were good and a medium filled up my hungry crew of 4. However I thought the wait times weren't long but we weren't in a hurry. Food: my tongue got to experience flavors in pizza I hadn't before that I equal parts interested and satisfied. The table started with the cheesy garlic bread and it had just the right amount of garlic. The marinara dipping sauce is thinner but that's their style and it's still flavorful. I ordered the tomato soup and antipasto salad combo. The fact that it's only $6.19 is ridiculous! It's so much good AND it's excellent. The bisque was so hardy and thick that I kept eating well beyond when I should have stopped. The salad had so much going on, no little side salad served here as you get elsewhere! The rest of the table ordered the Alfredo Pizza, healthful vegetable pizza, and sweet and sour cashew pizza. We were also able to try the chicken fajita as well. Now I know what your saying. I can get Chinese, Italian, and Mexican food on my pizza? That's just weird! And I would respond with but it's sooooo good and you must try it! I finally got around to having a Piesano's Pie. I'm a bit perplexed. They claim the dough is made fresh but it definitely tasted like a prefab as it was somewhat drier and had little if any chew. It could be that it's frozen and baked the next day but it tasted nothing like a fresh dough. Regardless it was still ok. It's a conventional midwestern pie, slightly thicker but with a nice crisp. They do have a good balance of toppings and cheese so that's a plus. The sauce was tasty and the service was excellent. read more

Gluten free be aware!!! They do offer a gluten free flatbread pizza, which my husband (celiac) ordered and ate all of it. About an hour later, he was an unhappy Missourian after the "unhappy Hawaiian" pizza. The sickest he's ever been since going gluten free (I'll spare you the details ). Don't chance it. We may not have been as insistent as we should have about asking them to take precautions; change gloves, separate prep area, no croutons on salad, fresh utensils, etc. lesson learned. And he isn't easily glutined so you know it was bad. My "small" pizza could have fed three, and was very good (I am not GFree). A local shop and you could tell it was pretty popular as there were people waiting for seats when we left, and the phone was constantly ringing. Definitely worth the stop!! Met the owners on the 1880 train and they mentioned their place. Had the pepperoni pizza and it was cooked perfectly, not greasy and the pepperonis were crisp. I would recommend a side salad, it was romaine lettuce, with various veggies and my side of ranch I can tell was homemade. My husband had spaghetti and meatballs, and he noted meatball was tasty. I'm a big fan of Craig Johnson's Longmire books, and particularly of the foul mouthed Vic Moretti who complains bitterly about how no one can make a good pizza in this part of the country. Victoria is from an Italian family out of Philadelphia, and she's a pizza snob. However during the events of the book "An Obvious Fact" she and Sheriff Walt Longmire stop in at a pizza parlor in Rapid City whereupon she gives high praise to the pies stating that they are as good as the ones made by her uncle back home in Philly at his pizza parlor. I decided to see if this fictional restaurant was real. With a little internet sleuthing I discovered that it absolutely is a real thing. When planning a vacation to the Black Hills Piesano's Pacchia was as essential a stop for me as Mount Rushmore. The pizza was great! Fresh ingredients and perfect seasoning really make this pizza an experience not to be missed. When I placed my order I spoke to the owner about the Longmire connection. She was so nice, and told me all about how Craig Johnson had come in and befriended the whole staff. Great food and great people! read more
