Our family trusted Pietros Pizza for years. The pizza crust, sauce and ingredients had been consistently fresh, assembled and cooked expertly, and delivered hot and timely. And service via pickup/take out counter, or when ordering by phone was fast and friendly...and family-oriented. But the last couple of years have been rough. And nothing is consistent anymore, least of all the Customer Service and Management. The young people working the phones and pickup/take out counter are destroying the business altogether. The high-school'ish rudeness and attitude, and inability to manage a busy counter is showing signs of stress. And what's worse, is that Management/Owners don't appear to have experience or an understanding that just making good pizza isn't enough to keep people coming back. Management/Owners themselves don't get it. "A fish rots from it's head." We've tried to stick with it, but it's just not improved. As for the pizza, we've had deliveries, and take out orders on multiple occasions with burnt crust and raw dough. And it's now the case that ingredients no longer taste fresh, and the sauce is inconsistent. The pizza isn't even cut properly and increasingly greasy...ever tried to pickup a piece and have everything slide off the top leaving only the crust and sauce? Delivery times are also look lagging. It's really a shame, because Pietros has a good following. But these issues will catchup to them, sooner or later. read more

Did they change owners?? This place use to be my favorite. It's been getting worse year after year! The young girls answering the phones are awful and can't get an order right! When they messed up my order they had the nerve to say that's what I paid for!?! Well that's NOT what I ordered so I will be driving back to get what I ordered! Called in to order two pepperoni calzones and the person taking my order seemed in a rush, they didn't even ask how I wanted to pay for the meal before hanging up with me. I had to call back to change how I paid and to get the total. There's a $3 delivery fee and if you get sauce cups on the side it's .50 each. When we got the calzones they were the smallest ones we have ever seen. They came with fries. Never seen that before. Usually calzones are brushed with butter to give it a golden look, but it doesn't appear they did this. On the inside, the outer edges are just cheese. The sauce and pepperoni are only in the middle so all the ingredients were not spread around. Overall, it seemed like they cut a lot of corners and seems cheap. I do like how big the sauce cups are for dipping the calzone in them and the hand size calzone makes it easier to eat. If you're watching calories, it's a good portion size for a calzone. If you don't care, it seems a bit inadequate compared to other calzones. Usually when you see a calzone sealed up after it's been folded over, you see how they sewed the dough together to close it up, but with this calzone you don't see that. I wonder how they closed the dough up after applying all the ingredients. They for sure put a lot of thought into this dish. They for sure added some extra stuff to their pizza sauce. I'm not sure if it's garlic or parmesan cheese. It looks like parmesan, but I taste garlic. It's possible both are added. A bonus plus to them for getting me this meal in under 45 minutes! Really nice pizza! My bro-in-law lives not too far from Pietro's, but every other time we've been in town he's ordered from another place that is nearby. I've always confessed my dislike for the "other place's" pizza so finally we tried something different.....Pietros. I really enjoy a sweet sauce and Pietros definitely handles that request. The owner tends to always be polite when coming into get the food, good pizza for the price. However this is where my one star rating comes in...Matt, the owners niece works for his business and she is absolutely rude and has no customer service skills whatsoever!!!! She acts as if she doesn't even like her job and is completely snobby and disrespectful. I have complained to Matt on another occasion and he said he would speak to her. Obviously after giving them another shot and experiencing her snotty attitude his conversation with her did not work. There is another one too, her name is Megan, extremely rude. On top of this, don't take their word for when it will be ready. 30 mins means an hour, than when you get frustrated about it taking longer than they said, they get an even bigger attitude. This place is a Roscoe mainstay and I don't get why. Maybe because Pietro's has been basically the only game in town for so long that we've developed a dependency on it. I don't know, maybe I'm jaded on pizza because theirs just doesn't stick out to me. Everyone gets hyped when you talk about Pietro's. My husband and I ordered a couple of calzones for lunch and for the most part, I am disappointed with the experience from start to finish. We got the food very fast, the only positive, when we opened the containers we found a mini looking calzone and a couple handfuls of crinkle cut fries. Who has fries with a calzone at a pizzeria? Come on guys! Let's tackle that part first. I had one fry, and it was obvious they were frozen and even worse than that, no additional seasoning. If you're going to have your customers eat processed potatoes instead of fresh the least season them. The calzone felt thrown together. All of the toppings were hidden deep in the calzone. So much so that three bites in my husband thought they forgot our toppings. Not cool. Now once we got to it all it tasted good however it was 3 bites worth. I've been enjoying Pietro's since my high school days and all I can say after moving out of state is that it is still some of the best pizza I've ever had. If I could give zero stars, I would for their incredibly poor service. We had a horrible experience with Pietro's tonight and won't order from them again. Ordered a pizza at 6:05pm for delivery. My wife was told it would be $13.40 and 40 minutes. Called at 7:15 to see where the pizza was. Told it was on the way. Called at 7:45 to see where the pizza was. Told that it was incorrectly marked for pick-up, that a driver was there and that it would be delivered immediately, although probably cold. Driver finally arrived at 8:20 with the presumably cold pizza. He said the price was $3 more than what was stated over the phone. We refused the pizza and opted for a frozen one in the oven. read more

Best pizza in the area hands down, and the prices are cheaper than any chain or local pizza joint I've ever been to. Their crust is homemade, their cheese is high quality, and their sauce is unique and also homemade. An XL cheese pizza is under 10 bucks (I don't remember the exact price and our menu we have on hand is 10 years old so the prices are a little outdated) and will feed 4 to 6 people easily. We usually order an XL with three toppings and get it delivered, which comes out to about 16 bucks including delivery charge. The best topping is the sausage which is homemade. Other great toppings are the peppers, onion, garlic, pepperoni. Don't order mushrooms unless you are okay with canned. I've never ordered spinach, shrimp, or anchovies so I can't comment on those toppings. My relatives from the Chicago area adore this place and bring a pizza back home with them every time they visit. read more
